The windshield 2 is bonded to the window opening 1 by a bonding member 3 (see fig. 2 described later). Further, the windshield 2 is provided with an interior mirror attachment portion 21. The interior mirror mounting portion 21 is provided near the upper end portion of the windshield 2 and is located in the middle region in the vehicle width direction. An interior mirror (not shown) is attached to the interior mirror attaching portion 21, and the interior mirror is disposed in the vehicle compartment.
The adhesive member 3 is made of, for example, a urethane resin adhesive, and is provided between the windshield 2 and the vehicle body (the peripheral edge of the window opening 1). Fig. 2 shows the structure of the adhesive member 3. As shown in fig. 2, the adhesive member 3 is configured as a substantially rectangular frame corresponding to the shapes of the window opening 1 and the windshield 2, and has a lower edge portion 31, a left edge portion 32, a right edge portion 33, and an upper edge portion 34.
The lower edge portion 31 and the upper edge portion 34 extend in the vehicle width direction, the lower edge portion 31 is disposed at the lower end portion of the windshield 2, and the upper edge portion 34 is disposed at the upper end portion of the windshield 2. Therefore, the lower edge portion 31 bonds the lower end portion of the windshield 2 to the cowl top 11 (see fig. 1). The upper edge portion 34 bonds the upper end portion of the windshield 2 to the front end portion 14a (see fig. 1) of the roof 14.
The left side portion 32 and the right side portion 33 extend substantially in the vehicle height direction, the left side portion 32 is disposed at the left end portion of the windshield 2, and the right side portion 33 is disposed at the right end portion of the windshield 2. The left side portion 32 connects the left end portion of the lower side portion 31 to the left end portion of the upper side portion 34. The right side portion 33 connects the right end portion of the lower side portion 31 with the right end portion of the upper side portion 34. Therefore, the left side portion 32 bonds the left end portion of the windshield 2 to the left front pillar 12 (see fig. 1). The right side portion 33 bonds the right end portion of the windshield 2 to the right front pillar 13 (see fig. 1).
The upper edge portion 34 has a wide portion 34a having a wide width (width in the Z1 and Z2 directions). The wide portion 34a is a middle portion in the vehicle width direction, and the portion other than the wide portion 34a is a narrow portion 34b. That is, in the upper edge portion 34, the wide portion 34a having a width larger than the narrow portion 34b is located in the middle region in the vehicle width direction, and the left and right portions of the wide portion 34a are the narrow portions 34b. The wide portion 34a is located in a region corresponding to the interior mirror attachment portion 21 in the vehicle width direction. The wide portion 34a extends upward relative to the narrow portion 34b.
The width of the lower side portion 31 (the width in the Z1 and Z2 directions) is set to be the same as the width of the narrow width portion 34b, the width of the left side portion 32 (the width in the Y1 and Y2 directions) is set to be the same as the width of the narrow width portion 34b, and the width of the right side portion 33 (the width in the Y1 and Y2 directions) is set to be the same as the width of the narrow width portion 34b. the bonding member has an upper edge portion extending in the vehicle width direction and bonding an upper end portion of the windshield to a front end portion of the roof,
the upper edge portion of the adhesive member has a wide portion with an expanded width, and the wide portion is located in a middle region in the vehicle width direction.

the adhesive member has a lower edge portion, a left edge portion, and a right edge portion,
the lower edge part extends along the vehicle width direction and bonds the lower end part of the windshield glass on the front upper cover plate;
the left side portion connects a left end portion of the upper side portion with a left end portion of the lower side portion, and bonds a left end portion of the windshield to a left front pillar;
the right side part connects the right end part of the upper side part with the right end part of the lower side part and bonds the right end part of the windshield to the right front pillar;
the width of the wide width portion is greater than the width of any one of the lower side portion, the left side portion, and the right side portion.
