6. An animal armour as claimed in any of claims 1 to 5 further comprising an encapsulating layer which is fixedly wrapped around the outer side of the armour.
7. An animal armour as claimed in any of claims 1 to 5 in which the inner side of the stab-resistant fabric layer is provided with a receiving pocket and the stab-resistant pad is removably located within the receiving pocket.
8. An animal armour as claimed in any of claims 1 to 5 in which the layer of stab resistant fabric is provided in two layers, both layers being formed from ultra high molecular weight polyethylene material.
9. An animal armour as claimed in any of claims 1 to 5 in which the protective garment further comprises a skin layer fixedly attached to the outer side of the stab resistant fabric layer.
10. The animal armour of claim 1 further comprising a body portion and a neck portion detachably connected to each other, wherein a protective portion is formed by extending a lower edge of the neck portion downward and covers the body portion.
