Detailed Description
To facilitate an understanding of the present application, the present application is described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and detailed description. It will be understood that when an element is referred to as being "secured to" another element, it can be directly on the other element or intervening elements may also be present. When an element is referred to as being "connected" to another element, it can be directly connected to the other element or intervening elements may be present. The terms "upper", "lower", "left", "right", "inner", "outer" and the like as used herein are for illustrative purposes only.
Unless defined otherwise, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which this application belongs. As shown in fig. 1 to 5, an embodiment of the present application provides a strip connector 10 including an upper cover 11 and a base 12 detachably connected to the upper cover 11. The light strip 20 comprises a body 21 and a pad 22, the body 21 being provided with a wick (not shown).
The inside of the upper cover 11 is provided with a toothed contact piece 115, and the number of the toothed contact pieces 115 may be one, or two or more, preferably 2. The toothed contact plate 115 is made of a metallic conductive material, for example: silver, gold, copper, and the like. The toothed contact piece 115 is provided separately from the upper cover 11.
The base 12 is substantially brick-shaped and hollow inside. The front and rear walls of the base 12 each have an opening communicating with the hollow portion, and the top wall of the base 12 also has an opening communicating with the hollow portion.
The shape of the opening in the top wall of the base 12 matches the shape of the cover 11, for example both may be square, oval, other regular or irregular shapes, etc. The upper cover 11 may be attached or fitted to the base 12 through an opening in the top wall of the base 12; after attachment, the top wall of the cover 11 is flush with the top wall of the base 12, and the rest is housed within the base 12. One strip of light 20 may be inserted into the chassis 12 through an opening in a front wall of the chassis 12 and the other strip of light 20 may be inserted into the chassis 12 through an opening in a rear wall of the chassis 12.
In one example, a first latch 111 and a second latch 112 are disposed on an outer sidewall of the upper cover 11. Only one of the left and right outer side walls of the upper cover 11 may be provided with a first latch 111 and a second latch 112; the upper cover 11 may be provided with a first latch 111 and a second latch 112 on both left and right outer sidewalls. The first latch 111 and the second latch 112 are disposed along a thickness direction of the band connector 10, the first latch 111 and the second latch 112 both extend along a length direction of the band connector 10, and the first latch 111 is disposed above the second latch 112. The first latch 111 and the second latch 112 may be made of a flexible material, such as silicone.
A first locking groove 121 and a second locking groove 122 are disposed on the inner side wall of the base 12. If only one of the left and right outer side walls of the upper cover 11 is provided with the first latch 111 and the second latch 112, only one of the left and right inner side walls of the base 12 is provided with the first latch groove 121 and the second latch groove 122; if the first latch 111 and the second latch 112 are disposed on the left and right outer sidewalls of the upper cover 11, the first engaging groove 121 and the second engaging groove 122 are also disposed on the left and right inner sidewalls of the base 12. The first card slot 121 and the second card slot 122 are arranged along a thickness direction of the strip connector 10, the first card slot 121 and the second card slot 122 each extend along a length direction of the strip connector 10, and the first card slot 121 is arranged above the second card slot 122.
When the second latch 112 is engaged with the first latch slot 121, the upper cover 11 and the base 12 are in a first connection state, as shown in fig. 4; at this time, the upper cover 11 and the base 12 are primarily fixed and are not easily detached.
When the first fixture 112 is matched with the first card slot 121 and the second fixture 112 is matched with the second card slot 122, the upper cover 11 and the base 12 are in the second connection state, and the toothed contact piece 115 can pierce the pad 22 of the light strip 20, as can be specifically seen in fig. 1. Thus, the two strips 20 are electrically connected by the indented contact strip 115 (the front end of the indented contact strip 115 may pierce the pad 22 of one strip 20 inserted from the front wall of the chassis 12, and the rear end of the indented contact strip 115 may pierce the pad 22 of the other strip 20 inserted from the rear wall of the chassis 12).
In a further embodiment, the opening of the front wall of the base 12 and the opening of the rear wall of the base 12 are both provided with a sliding slot 123, and the light strip 20 can be inserted into the base 12 through the sliding slot 123. The slide groove 123 may be defined by a gap between a stopper bar (not shown) extending along the length of the strip connector 10 and the bottom wall of the base 12; in a preferred embodiment, the two sides of the opening are both provided with limiting strips. Further, the limiting strip is configured to move up and down relative to the bottom wall of the base 12, so as to adjust the distance between the limiting strip and the bottom wall of the base 12 and adapt to the installation of the light strips 20 with different thickness sizes.
In further embodiments, the positioning portion 124 is disposed in the base 12, and the distance between the positioning portion 124 and the front wall of the base 12 is the same as the distance between the positioning portion 124 and the rear wall of the base 12; the positioning portion 124 includes a rib provided on the bottom wall of the base 12, the rib extending in the width direction of the strip connector 10.
When the light strip 20 is inserted into the base 12 through the sliding groove 123, the positioning portion 124 can be used for positioning, which is beneficial to piercing the light strip 20 through the toothed contact piece 115 when the light strip 20 abuts against the positioning portion 124 and the upper cover 11 and the base 12 are in the second connection state.
In one example, a protrusion 113 is provided on the front wall of the upper cover 11, and the protrusion 113 extends along the length direction of the strip connector 10. The top wall of the base 12 is provided with a groove 125 which is matched with the projection 113. The protrusion 113 and the recess 125 form a fool-proof mechanism. This prevents the cover 11 or the base 12 from being reversed or misconnected when the cover 11 is attached or assembled to the base 12.
In one example, a groove 114 is provided on an outer side wall of the upper cover 11, and the groove 114 extends in a thickness direction of the strip connector 10. The inner side wall of the base 12 is provided with a projection 126 which is fitted into the groove 114, and the projection 126 extends in the thickness direction of the strip connector 10. The recess 114 and the projection 126 constitute an assembly mechanism. Thus, when the upper cover 11 is connected or assembled to the base 12, the assembly guide positioning is realized by the matching of the groove 114 and the projection 126. In a preferred embodiment, two grooves 114 are arranged on the left outer side wall of the upper cover 11, and two grooves 114 are arranged on the right outer side wall of the upper cover 11; two corresponding lugs 126 are arranged on the left inner side wall of the base 12, and two corresponding lugs 126 are arranged on the right inner side wall of the base 12. Of course, the number of the grooves 114 and the protrusions 126 is not limited, and may be increased or decreased.
In one example, the cover 11 and/or the base 12 are at least partially made of a transparent material so as not to affect the light emitted from the light strip 20.
Fig. 6-7 show a strip connector according to another embodiment of the present application, which is different from the examples shown in fig. 1-5: inserted through an opening in the front wall of chassis 12 is wire 30, and inserted through an opening in the rear wall of chassis 12 is light strip 20; the positioning portion 124 extends along the width direction of the strip connector 10 to a length close to the width of the inner chamber of the base 12; the front wall of the base 12 is provided with a hole matched with the wire 30, and the hole is used for accommodating an electric wire of the wire 30 and can be limited. Generally, the wire 30 is a three-wire, and three holes are formed in the opening of the front wall of the base 12.

Claims (10)
1. The lamp strip connector is characterized by comprising a base and an upper cover;
the front wall and the rear wall of the base are both provided with sliding grooves, and the lamp strip and/or the wire can be inserted into the base through the sliding grooves; a positioning part is arranged in the base to position when the lamp strip and/or the wire is inserted into the base;
a toothed contact piece is arranged inside the upper cover; the toothed contact may pierce the strip and/or the wire, forming an electrical connection between the strip and the wire, or between the strip and the strip.
2. The strip connector of claim 1, wherein a distance between the positioning portion and the base front wall is the same as a distance between the positioning portion and the base rear wall.
3. The strip connector of claim 1, wherein the positioning portion comprises a rib provided on a bottom wall of the base.
4. The strip connector according to claim 1, wherein the positioning portion extends in a width direction of the strip connector.
5. The strip connector of claim 1, wherein the base is removably connected to the cover;
a fool-proof mechanism is arranged between the base and the upper cover to prevent the base from being reversely or wrongly connected when being connected with the upper cover.
6. The strip connector of claim 5, wherein the fool-proof mechanism comprises a first groove provided on the base and a first protrusion provided on the upper cover.
7. The light strip connector of claim 1, wherein the base is removably connected to the upper cover;
the base with be provided with assembly devices between the upper cover to the base with assembly positioning when the upper cover is connected.
8. The harness connector of claim 7 wherein the mounting mechanism comprises a second recess disposed on the base and a second projection disposed on the cover.
9. The lamp strip connector of claim 1, wherein the upper cover comprises a first fixture block and a second fixture block arranged along a thickness direction of the lamp strip connector, and the base comprises a first clamping groove and a second clamping groove arranged along the thickness direction of the lamp strip connector;
when the second clamping block is matched with the first clamping groove, the upper cover and the base are in a first connection state;
when the first clamping block is matched with the first clamping groove and the second clamping block is matched with the second clamping groove, the upper cover and the base are in a second connection state, and the toothed contact piece can puncture the lamp strip and/or the wire.
10. The strip connector of claim 1, wherein the base and/or the cover are at least partially made of a transparent material.
