The skin protection device of claim 1, wherein the first and second rib pads have bearing ramps formed on the sides thereof that contact the patient, wherein the second plurality of buffers are disposed within the bearing ramps, and wherein the second plurality of buffers are spaced apart along the length of the first and second rib pads.
4. The skin protection device of claim 1, wherein the first ankle pad and the second ankle pad are each of a split configuration with the first rib pad, the second rib pad, the chest pad, and the knee pad.
5. The skin protection device of claim 1, wherein the first ankle pad and the second ankle pad are each of a rectangular configuration.
