Description

Oil pump motor assembly
Technical Field
The utility model relates to a vehicle motor field. In particular, the invention relates to a vehicle motor assembly, in particular to an oil pump motor assembly.
Background
Vehicle oil pump motors are typically controlled by an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) that is electrically connected to components within the motor, such as the stator, via a motor connector assembly to facilitate control of the motor.
In conventional oil pump motor designs, the interface of the motor connector assembly needs to be specially designed to match the configuration of the customer interface. A motor connector assembly is known which has a plastic connector body, an interface provided to the connector body and lead terminals electrically connected thereto, which are electrically connected to components within a motor via motor leads. The customer interface will engage with the interface such that the terminals of the customer interface are connected with the lead terminals via the interface.
The motor connector assembly under the traditional design needs to be specially designed for customer interfaces of different structures, and the universality is poor. For this reason, a general motor connector assembly has been developed, which is mounted to a motor as described in chinese utility model patent 202120561483.8, wherein the motor connector assembly includes a connector main body and a conductive interface provided therein, wherein lead terminals of the conductive interface are electrically connected with lead terminals of a conventional motor connector assembly, and the conductive interface is provided with a plurality of screw holes, whereby standard parts such as screws can be used to connect an interface of the motor connector assembly with connection terminals of a customer interface, thereby improving the versatility of the motor connector assembly.
Fig. 1A-1C illustrate an oil pump motor assembly employing a universal motor connector assembly as described above. As shown in fig. 1A, the oil pump motor assembly 1 'includes an oil pump motor 10', a lead frame 20 '(i.e., a conventional motor connector assembly) provided thereon, and a universal motor connector assembly 30' mounted to the oil pump motor 10 'and electrically connected to the lead frame 20'. Specifically, the oil pump motor 10 'includes an electrically insulated motor end cover 11', two opposing positioning lugs 12 'and 13' that project radially from a periphery of the motor end cover, a mounting tab 14 'that also projects radially from the periphery of the motor end cover and is circumferentially spaced from the positioning lugs, and a motor lead 15'. The lead frame 20 ' is located on the motor end cap 11 ' and includes a lead frame body 21 ' and motor lead terminals 22 ', which are electrically connected to the motor leads 15 '. The motor connector assembly 30 ' includes a connector body 31 ', two mounting legs 32 ' and 33 ' extending from the connector body having connector locating posts 32a ' and 33a ' respectively that mate with holes in locating lugs 12 ' and 13 ' of the oil pump motor, with threaded holes 34 ' provided in the mounting legs 33 ' for engagement with mounting screws 40 ' (see fig. 1B). Further, an interface 35 'is provided in the connector body 31', and the interface lead terminals 35a 'are electrically connected to the motor lead terminals 22'.
When the motor assembly is assembled, as shown in fig. 1B, the connector positioning posts 32a ' and 33a ' of the motor connector assembly 30 ' are fitted into the holes of the positioning lugs 12 ' and 13 ' of the oil pump motor 10 ', respectively, and the mounting screws are screwed into the threaded holes 34 ' through the holes of the mounting tab 14 ' of the oil pump motor 10 ', thereby mounting the motor connector assembly on the oil pump motor. In addition, in order to electrically insulate the lead terminal connections from the environment, the oil pump motor assembly 1 ' further includes an insulation cap 50 ' mounted to the lead frame 20 ', as shown in fig. 1C.
The motor connector assembly shown in fig. 1A-1C, while highly versatile, still suffers from the following deficiencies. When assembling the motor assembly, it is first necessary to electrically connect (typically by welding) the motor leads 15 'to the motor lead terminals 22' of the lead frame 20 ', then to mount the motor connector assembly 30' to the oil pump motor 10 ', and to electrically connect (also by welding) the interface lead terminals 35 a' of the motor connector assembly 30 'to the motor lead terminals 22' of the lead frame 20 ', and finally to mount the insulation cap 50'.
Under the above design, two welding processes are required for assembly, the assembly time is long, the welding quantity is large, and the welding quality is difficult to control.
Disclosure of Invention
The utility model aims at overcoming the above-mentioned problem that exists among the current motor element. To this end, an improved motor assembly is provided. The motor assembly includes a motor including motor leads extending therefrom and a motor connector assembly mounted to the motor, the motor connector assembly including a connector body and a conductive interface disposed therein, the interface lead terminals extending from the conductive interface. According to the utility model discloses, the interface lead terminal direct electric connection of motor connector component (usually through the welding) is in the motor lead wire, promptly: without passing through any intermediate pieces (such as the motor lead terminals of the lead frame under prior designs). In this way, only one welding process is needed for assembly, thereby shortening the assembly time, reducing the welding amount and improving the welding quality.
According to an embodiment, the interface of the motor connector assembly is provided with threaded holes (e.g. three) for using screws for connecting corresponding terminals of the customer interface.
According to an embodiment, the electric machine further comprises a machine end cap, a positioning lug (preferably two diametrically opposed positioning lugs) radially projecting from a periphery of the machine end cap, the connector assembly further comprising a mounting leg extending from the connector body having a connector positioning post that mates with a hole in a corresponding positioning lug of the oil pump machine. This arrangement facilitates mounting of the motor connector assembly to the motor end cap.
According to an embodiment, the motor further comprises a mounting tab also extending radially from a periphery of the motor end cap and circumferentially spaced from the positioning lug, the connector assembly further comprises a threaded hole disposed in one of the mounting legs, and the motor assembly further comprises a mounting screw threaded into the threaded hole through a hole in the mounting tab. With this arrangement, it is easy to mount the motor connector assembly to the motor end cover by screws.
According to an embodiment, the motor assembly further includes an insulation cap mounted on the interface lead terminal of the motor connector assembly to electrically insulate it from the environment.
According to an embodiment, an end of the interface lead terminal of the motor connector assembly, which is far from the interface, is configured in a hook shape to hook the motor lead. This arrangement facilitates positioning of the motor lead prior to bonding for bonding.
According to an embodiment, the electric machine further comprises an electronic control unit, the terminals of the interface of which are electrically connected (e.g. by standard screws) with the interface of the electric machine connector assembly to electrically connect with components within the electric machine, such as the stator, in order to control the operation of the electric machine.
Compare with current motor element, according to the utility model discloses a motor element has removed conventional lead frame, has reduced part quantity to consequently only need a welding process, thereby shorten the equipment time, and reduced the welding volume, welding quality also can obtain improving.
