Detailed Description
Embodiments of the present invention are exemplarily described below. As those skilled in the art will appreciate, the illustrated embodiments may be modified in various different ways without departing from the inventive concept. Accordingly, the drawings and description are to be regarded as illustrative in nature, and not as restrictive. In the following, the same reference numbers generally indicate functionally identical or similar elements.
In a motor vehicle lighting system, the light beam finally exits via the outer lens. For example, the light beam finally exits the vehicle lamp outside after passing through the outer lens. Specifically, in the outer lens shown in fig. 1, the light beam emitted from the light emitting assembly of the motor vehicle is converged and shaped, and then is emitted from the main light emitting surface 2 of the outer lens 1 to the outside of the motor vehicle.
In many cases, however, even after being converged and shaped, a part of the stray light is incident on the side surface of the outer lens 1, i.e., the portion connected to the lamp housing assembly. This portion of the light is finally emitted outside the motor vehicle by refraction at the sides, which may cause glare to the users of the oncoming road. In order to avoid glare caused by this portion of the light, in the outer lens shown in fig. 1, a light shield 3 is provided which defines a light output window to block this portion of the light from exiting via the side.
With the pursuit of automobile styling, the use of light screens tends to be reduced. It is therefore desirable to reduce the light shield while avoiding glare from stray light.
To solve the above problem, the present invention proposes an outer lens 100 for a lighting module for lighting and/or signal guidance of a motor vehicle.
A schematic view of an outer lens 100 according to an embodiment of the invention is schematically shown in fig. 2. The outer lens 100 includes: a first lens portion 101 and a second lens portion 102; the first lens part 101 includes a first light incident surface 1011 for receiving light rays and a first light emitting surface 1012 opposite to the first light incident surface 1011 for emitting the light rays; the second lens portion 102 includes a second light incident surface 1021 and a second light emitting surface 1022, and the second lens portion 102 is adjacent to the first lens portion 101 and extends from the first light incident surface 1011 of the first lens portion 101 away from the first light emitting surface 1012.
The first light incident surface 1011 of the first lens portion 100 receives light from a light source, and outputs emergent light meeting the requirement from the first light emitting surface 1012.
In the example shown in fig. 2, the second light incident surface 1021 of the second lens portion 102 is a convex surface. The second light incident surface 1021 is a convex surface, i.e., the radial direction of the second light incident surface 1021 extends away from the second light emitting surface 1022 of the second lens portion 102.
Preferably, the convex surface of the second light incident surface 1021 is an arc surface.
The light incident on the second lens portion 102 is reflected or refracted at the second light incident surface 1021 of the arc surface. The light rays reflected by the second light incident surface 1021 of the second lens portion 102 are received by the first light incident surface 1011 of the first lens portion 101 and exit through the first light emitting surface 1012.
The light refracted at the second light incident surface 1021 of the second lens portion 102 passes through the second lens portion 102 and exits through the second light exiting surface 1022. Due to the convex design of the second light incident surface 1021, the light beam emitted from the second light emitting surface 1022 of the second lens portion 102 is deflected when compared with the case that the second light incident surface 1021 is a plane, and preferably, the deflection angle exceeds 10 degrees, so that the range of the emission angle can effectively avoid the visual field of the oncoming road user, and avoid causing dazzling of the oncoming road user.
Fig. 3 is a light path diagram when the second light incident surface of the second lens portion is a plane. It can be seen from the light path contrast that fig. 3 and fig. 2 show, according to the utility model discloses a scheme with second lens portion 102 first go into to go out after the plain noodles 1021 designs into the convex surface, second lens portion 102 the light beam that second goes out the plain noodles 1022 department outgoing compares and goes into the plain condition emergence obviously to the plain condition of plain second income plain noodles 1021 to make the scope of emergence angle can effectively avoid subtending the road user's field of vision, avoid causing subtending the road user's dazzling.
The angle of the arc-shaped surface of the second light incident surface 1021 can be adjusted as required. Preferably, the arc of the arcuate surface is greater than 5 degrees. Such a radian setting does not significantly affect the processes such as mold drawing in the production process of the outer lens 100, and is beneficial to reducing the production cost of the outer lens 100.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the second light incident surface 1021 of the second lens portion 102 may be formed as a concave surface when the mold-releasing condition is satisfied. When the second light incident surface 1021 is a concave surface, the light beam emitted from the second light emitting surface 1022 of the second lens portion 102 is also deflected, so that the range of the emission angle can effectively avoid the field of view of the oncoming road user, thereby avoiding dazzling of the oncoming road user.
The outer lens 100 is preferably a unitary structure. The first lens portion 101 and the second lens portion 102 of the outer lens 100 are integrally formed by an injection molding process. The material of the outer lens 100, which is preferably chosen to facilitate the propagation of the light beam through the material, is for example typically Polycarbonate (PC), Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) or the like.
According to the utility model discloses an outer lens can avoid dazzling of subtend road user when satisfying the molding demand.
The present invention also provides a lighting module comprising at least one light emitting assembly and an outer lens 100 as described above.
Additionally, the utility model also provides a motor vehicle's head-light, motor vehicle head-light includes aforementioned lighting module and casing, the casing is used for holding at least lighting module, the casing by outer lens 100 seals.
It is obvious to a person skilled in the art that the invention is not restricted to details of the above-described exemplary embodiments, but that it can be implemented in other specific forms without departing from the spirit or essential characteristics of the invention. The present embodiments are therefore to be considered in all respects as illustrative and not restrictive, the scope of the invention being indicated by the appended claims rather than by the foregoing description, and all changes which come within the meaning and range of equivalency of the claims are therefore intended to be embraced therein. Any reference sign in a claim should not be construed as limiting the claim concerned. Furthermore, it is to be understood that the word "comprising" does not exclude other elements or steps, and the singular does not exclude the plural. The terms first, second, etc. are used to denote names, but not any particular order.
