Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a terminal fixing assembly for a high voltage connector, a connector housing assembly including the terminal fixing assembly and a connector including the connector housing assembly.
Background
In the related art, a high-voltage connector generally includes a housing, a terminal holding body, a shield shell, and a terminal. The terminals are inserted into terminal insertion grooves of the terminal holding body, the terminal holding body is inserted into the shield shell, and the shield shell is inserted into the shell. In the prior art, the terminal holding body is fixed into the housing through the shield shell, and is not directly fitted to the housing, and the positioning between the terminal holding body and the housing is not reliable, which results in that the terminal holding body easily appears to shake with respect to the housing at the time of vibration.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
An object of the present invention is to solve at least one of the above problems and disadvantages in the prior art.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a terminal fixing assembly for a high voltage connector, comprising: a holding body formed with a terminal insertion slot for inserting a terminal; and the shielding shell is sleeved on the retaining body and is suitable for being inserted into the connector shell, a positioning bulge is formed on the retaining body, and the positioning bulge penetrates through the shielding shell and protrudes to the outside of the shielding shell so as to be inserted into a positioning hole in the connector shell.
According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the holding body includes a body on which the terminal insertion groove is formed, and the positioning projection is formed on a front end surface of the body and projects forward.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the holding body is an integral component, and a plurality of the terminal insertion grooves for respectively inserting a plurality of terminals are formed on the holding body.
According to a further exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a plurality of positioning projections are formed on the retaining body and are spaced apart in a lateral and/or height direction of the retaining body.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a through hole allowing the positioning boss of the holding body to pass therethrough is formed on the shield shell, and an inner wall surface of the through hole is in contact with an outer side surface of the positioning boss to position a relative position therebetween.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the terminal insertion groove extends in a longitudinal direction of the holding body and has a rear end insertion opening formed on a rear end face of the holding body and a top insertion opening formed on a top face of the holding body; the terminal is adapted to be inserted into the terminal insertion groove via the rear-end socket in a longitudinal direction of the holding body, and the mating terminal is adapted to be inserted into the terminal insertion groove via the top socket in a height direction of the holding body.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the shield case includes: a top wall; a bottom wall; a pair of side walls connected between both sides of the top wall and the bottom wall, respectively; and a front end wall connected between the top wall, the bottom wall and the front ends of the side walls, a rear end of the shield shell being open, the holding body being inserted into the shield shell from the open rear end of the shield shell, an opening being formed in the top wall of the shield shell to allow a mating terminal to be inserted into the terminal insertion slot of the holding body through the opening.
According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a connector housing assembly including: a housing having an interior cavity; and the terminal fixing component for the high-voltage connector is inserted into the inner cavity of the shell.
According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a positioning hole extending in the longitudinal direction is formed on the inner wall of the housing, the positioning hole being engaged with the positioning projection on the holding body; the outer side surface of the positioning protrusion is in contact with the inner wall surface of the positioning hole to limit the position of the retainer in the transverse direction and the height direction.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the positioning hole is a positioning blind hole formed on an inner wall of the housing, and an end surface of the positioning projection is in contact with a bottom surface of the positioning hole to define a position of the holding body in a longitudinally forward direction.
According to a further exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the housing has a first insertion port extending in the longitudinal direction for a terminal fixing assembly of a plug-in connector and a second insertion port extending in the height direction for a plug-in counter connector.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the housing is L-shaped and includes: a first housing portion extending in a longitudinal direction; and a second housing portion extending in a height direction and connected to one end of the first housing portion, the first insertion port being formed on the first housing portion, and the second insertion port being formed on the second housing portion.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the second housing part comprises: an outer peripheral wall; and an inner circumferential wall spaced apart from the outer circumferential wall by a predetermined gap to allow insertion of a counterpart housing of a counterpart connector, the positioning hole being formed on an inner side of the inner circumferential wall.
According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a connector including: the connector housing assembly; and a terminal inserted into the holding body of the connector housing assembly.
According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a connector comprising: a housing having an interior cavity; and the terminal assembly comprises the terminal fixing assembly and a terminal inserted into the retaining body of the terminal fixing assembly, and the terminal assembly is inserted into the inner cavity of the shell.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the utility model, the connector further comprises: a cable having one end electrically connected to the terminal and fixed to the housing; and a shield member electrically connecting the shield layer of the cable to the shield case of the terminal fixing assembly.
In each of the foregoing exemplary embodiments according to the present invention, the holding body is directly matched with the positioning hole on the casing through the positioning protrusion, so that the holding body can be prevented from shaking relative to the casing, and the positioning reliability of the holding body is improved.

According to one general technical concept of the present invention, there is provided a terminal fixing assembly for a high voltage connector, including: a holding body formed with a terminal insertion groove for inserting a terminal; and the shielding shell is sleeved on the retaining body and is suitable for being inserted into the connector shell, a positioning bulge is formed on the retaining body, and the positioning bulge penetrates through the shielding shell and protrudes to the outside of the shielding shell so as to be inserted into a positioning hole in the connector shell.

As shown in fig. 1 and 2, in the illustrated embodiment, the connector housing assembly may be a housing assembly for a high voltage connector. The connector housing assembly mainly includes a housing 10, a holding body 20, and a shield shell 30. The holding body 20 is inserted into the shield case 30, and the shield case 30 is inserted into the housing 10.

As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, the terminal holding assembly may be, for example, a terminal holding assembly for a high voltage connector. The terminal fixing assembly includes: a holding body 20 and a shield shell 30. The holding body 20 is formed with terminal insertion grooves 22 for inserting terminals. The shield shell 30 is fitted over the holding body 20 and adapted to be inserted into the connector housing 10.
FIG. 6 shows a longitudinal cross-sectional view of a connector housing assembly according to an example embodiment of the utility model; fig. 7 shows a longitudinal sectional view of a connector housing assembly according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, in which a terminal holding assembly is separated from a housing 10; fig. 8 shows a longitudinal cross-sectional view of a connector housing assembly according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, taken in another direction.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, a positioning projection 23 is formed on the retainer 20. The positioning projection 23 passes through the shield shell 30 and projects to the outside of the shield shell 30 to be inserted into the positioning hole 123 on the connector housing 10.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, the holding body 20 includes a body 21, a terminal insertion groove 22 is formed on the body 21, and a positioning projection 23 is formed on a front end surface of the body 21 and projects forward.
As shown in fig. 1-8, in the illustrated embodiment, the retention body 20 is a one-piece component, for example, the retention body 20 may be a one-piece injection molded part. A plurality of terminal insertion grooves 22 are formed in the holder 20, and the plurality of terminal insertion grooves 22 are used to insert a plurality of terminals, respectively. In the illustrated embodiment, two terminal insertion grooves 22 are formed in the holder 20 to be arranged side by side.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, a plurality of positioning projections 23 are formed on the holding body 20, and the plurality of positioning projections 23 are spaced apart in the lateral direction X and/or the height direction Z of the holding body 20. In the illustrated embodiment, two positioning projections 23 are formed on the retainer 20, and the two positioning projections 23 are spaced apart in the lateral direction X of the retainer 20.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, a through hole 341 allowing the positioning boss 23 of the holding body 20 to pass therethrough is formed on the shield shell 30, and an inner wall surface of the through hole 341 is in contact with an outer side surface of the positioning boss 23 to position a relative position therebetween.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, the terminal insertion groove 22 extends in the longitudinal direction Y of the holding body 20 and has a rear insertion opening 221 formed on the rear end surface of the holding body 20 and a top insertion opening 222 formed on the top surface of the holding body 20. The terminals (not shown) of the connector are adapted to be inserted into the terminal insertion grooves 22 in the longitudinal direction Y of the holding body 20 via the rear-end insertion opening 221, and the mating terminals are adapted to be inserted into the terminal insertion grooves 22 in the height direction Z of the holding body 20 via the top insertion opening 222.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, the shield case 30 includes: a top wall 31, a bottom wall 32, a pair of side walls 33 and a front end wall 34. A pair of side walls 33 are connected between the sides of the top wall 31 and the bottom wall 32, respectively. A front end wall 34 is connected between the top wall 31, the bottom wall 32 and the front ends of the side walls 33. The rear end of the shield shell 30 is opened, and the holding body 20 is inserted into the shield shell 30 from the opened rear end of the shield shell 30. An opening 301 is formed on the top wall 31 of the shield case 30 to allow the mating terminal to be inserted into the terminal insertion slot 22 of the holding body 20 through the opening 301.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, there is also disclosed a connector housing assembly including: a housing 10 and the aforementioned terminal fixing assembly. The housing 10 has an inner cavity. The terminal holding assembly is inserted into the inner cavity of the housing 10.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, a positioning hole 123 extending in the longitudinal direction Y is formed on the inner wall of the housing 10, and the positioning hole 123 is engaged with the positioning protrusion 23 on the holding body 20. The outer side surface of the positioning boss 23 contacts the inner wall surface of the positioning hole 123 to define the position of the holding body 20 in the lateral direction X and the height direction Z.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, the positioning hole 123 is a positioning blind hole formed on the inner wall of the housing 10, and the end surface of the positioning projection 23 contacts the bottom surface of the positioning hole 123 to define the position of the holding body 20 in the longitudinal forward direction.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, the housing 10 has a first insertion port 101 for a terminal-fixing assembly of a plug-in connector extending in the longitudinal direction Y and a second insertion port 102 for a mating connector extending in the height direction Y.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, the housing 10 is L-shaped, and the housing 10 includes: a first housing part 11 and a second housing part 12. The first housing part 11 extends in the longitudinal direction Y. The second housing portion 12 extends in the height direction Y and is connected to one end of the first housing portion 11. A first insertion port 101 is formed on the first housing portion 11 and a second insertion port 102 is formed on the second housing portion 12.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, the second housing portion 12 includes: an outer peripheral wall 121 and an inner peripheral wall 122. The inner circumferential wall 122 is spaced apart from the outer circumferential wall 121 by a predetermined gap to allow insertion of a mating housing of a mating connector (not shown). Positioning holes 123 are formed on the inner side of the inner peripheral wall 122.
In one exemplary embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1-8, a connector is also disclosed. The connector may be, for example, a high voltage connector, the connector comprising: the aforementioned connector housing assembly and terminals inserted into the retention body 20 of the connector housing assembly.
In one exemplary embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1-8, a connector is also disclosed. The connector includes: a housing 10 and a terminal assembly. The housing 10 has an inner cavity. The terminal assembly includes the aforementioned terminal holding assembly and a terminal inserted into the holding body 20 of the terminal holding assembly. The terminal assemblies are inserted into the interior cavities of the housing 10.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, the connector further includes: a cable (not shown) and a shield (not shown). One end of the cable is electrically connected to the terminal and fixed to the housing 10. The shield member electrically connects the shield layer of the cable to the shield shell 30 of the terminal fixing assembly.
It will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that the above described embodiments are exemplary and can be modified by those skilled in the art, and that the structures described in the various embodiments can be freely combined without structural or conceptual conflicts, and that such modifications are intended to fall within the scope of the present invention.

Claims (16)
1. A terminal holding assembly for a high voltage connector, comprising:
a holding body formed with a terminal insertion groove for inserting a terminal; and
a shielding shell sleeved on the holding body and suitable for being inserted into the connector shell,
and a positioning bulge is formed on the retainer, penetrates through the shielding shell and protrudes to the outside of the shielding shell so as to be inserted into a positioning hole on the connector shell.
2. A terminal holding assembly for a high-voltage connector according to claim 1, wherein:
the holding body includes a body, the terminal insertion groove is formed on the body, and the positioning protrusion is formed on the front end face of the body and protrudes forward.
3. The terminal holding assembly for a high-voltage connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein:
the holding body is an integrated component, a plurality of terminal slots are formed in the holding body, and the terminal slots are used for being respectively inserted with a plurality of terminals.
4. The terminal holding assembly for a high-voltage connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein:
a plurality of the positioning projections are formed on the holding body, and the plurality of positioning projections are spaced apart in a lateral direction and/or a height direction of the holding body.
5. The terminal holding assembly for a high-voltage connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein:
a through hole allowing the positioning boss of the holding body to pass through is formed on the shield case, and an inner wall surface of the through hole is in contact with an outer side surface of the positioning boss to position a relative position therebetween.
6. The terminal holding assembly for a high-voltage connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein:
the terminal insertion groove extends along the longitudinal direction of the holding body and is provided with a rear end socket formed on the rear end surface of the holding body and a top socket formed on the top surface of the holding body;
the terminal is adapted to be inserted into the terminal insertion groove via the rear-end socket in a longitudinal direction of the holding body, and the mating terminal is adapted to be inserted into the terminal insertion groove via the top socket in a height direction of the holding body.
7. The terminal holding assembly for a high-voltage connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein:
the shield case includes:
a top wall;
a bottom wall;
a pair of side walls connected between both sides of the top wall and the bottom wall, respectively; and
a front end wall connected between the top wall, the bottom wall and the front ends of the side walls,
the back end of the shielding shell is opened, the retainer is inserted into the shielding shell from the opened back end of the shielding shell,
an opening is formed on a top wall of the shield shell to allow a mating terminal to be inserted into the terminal insertion slot of the holding body through the opening.
8. A connector housing assembly, comprising:
a housing having an interior cavity; and
the terminal holding assembly for a high-voltage connector as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 7, which is inserted into an inner cavity of said housing.
9. The connector housing assembly of claim 8, wherein:
a positioning hole extending along the longitudinal direction is formed on the inner wall of the shell and matched with the positioning bulge on the holding body;
the outer side surface of the positioning protrusion is in contact with the inner wall surface of the positioning hole to limit the position of the holding body in the transverse direction and the height direction.
10. The connector housing assembly of claim 9, wherein:
the positioning hole is a positioning blind hole formed in the inner wall of the shell, and the end face of the positioning protrusion is in contact with the bottom face of the positioning hole so as to limit the position of the holding body in the longitudinal forward direction.
11. The connector housing assembly of claim 8, wherein:
the housing has a first insertion port extending in a longitudinal direction for inserting a terminal holding member of a connector and a second insertion port extending in a height direction for inserting a mating connector.
12. The connector housing assembly of claim 11, wherein:
the housing is L-shaped and includes:
a first housing portion extending in a longitudinal direction; and
a second housing portion extending in a height direction and connected to one end of the first housing portion,
the first insertion port is formed on the first housing portion and the second insertion port is formed on the second housing portion.
13. The connector housing assembly of claim 12, wherein:
the second housing portion includes:
an outer peripheral wall; and
an inner peripheral wall spaced apart from the outer peripheral wall by a predetermined gap to allow insertion of a counterpart housing of a counterpart connector,
the positioning hole is formed on an inner side of the inner circumferential wall.
14. A connector, comprising:
the connector housing assembly of any one of claims 8-13; and
a terminal inserted into the retention body of the connector housing assembly.
15. A connector, comprising:
a housing having an interior cavity; and
a terminal assembly comprising the terminal holding assembly of any one of claims 1 to 7 and a terminal inserted in a holding body of the terminal holding assembly,
the terminal assembly is inserted into the interior cavity of the housing.
16. The connector of claim 15, further comprising:
a cable having one end electrically connected to the terminal and fixed to the housing; and
a shield electrically connecting the shield layer of the cable to the shield case of the terminal fixing assembly.
