Background
In the related art, a high-voltage connector generally includes a housing, a terminal holding body, a shield shell, and a terminal. The terminals are inserted into terminal insertion grooves of the terminal holding body, the terminal holding body is inserted into the shield shell, and the shield shell is inserted into the shell. In the prior art, the terminal holding body is fixed into the housing through the shield shell, and is not directly fitted to the housing, and the positioning between the terminal holding body and the housing is not reliable, which results in that the terminal holding body easily appears to shake with respect to the housing at the time of vibration.

According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a connector housing assembly including: a housing having an interior cavity; and the terminal fixing component for the high-voltage connector is inserted into the inner cavity of the shell.

As shown in fig. 1-8, in the illustrated embodiment, the retention body 20 is a one-piece component, for example, the retention body 20 may be a one-piece injection molded part. A plurality of terminal insertion grooves 22 are formed in the holder 20, and the plurality of terminal insertion grooves 22 are used to insert a plurality of terminals, respectively. As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, a through hole 341 allowing the positioning boss 23 of the holding body 20 to pass therethrough is formed on the shield shell 30, and an inner wall surface of the through hole 341 is in contact with an outer side surface of the positioning boss 23 to position a relative position therebetween.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, the terminal insertion groove 22 extends in the longitudinal direction Y of the holding body 20 and has a rear insertion opening 221 formed on the rear end surface of the holding body 20 and a top insertion opening 222 formed on the top surface of the holding body 20. The terminals (not shown) of the connector are adapted to be inserted into the terminal insertion grooves 22 in the longitudinal direction Y of the holding body 20 via the rear-end insertion opening 221, and the mating terminals are adapted to be inserted into the terminal insertion grooves 22 in the height direction Z of the holding body 20 via the top insertion opening 222.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, the shield case 30 includes: a top wall 31, a bottom wall 32, a pair of side walls 33 and a front end wall 34. A pair of side walls 33 are connected between the sides of the top wall 31 and the bottom wall 32, respectively. A front end wall 34 is connected between the top wall 31, the bottom wall 32 and the front ends of the side walls 33. The rear end of the shield shell 30 is opened, and the holding body 20 is inserted into the shield shell 30 from the opened rear end of the shield shell 30. An opening 301 is formed on the top wall 31 of the shield case 30 to allow the mating terminal to be inserted into the terminal insertion slot 22 of the holding body 20 through the opening 301.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, there is also disclosed a connector housing assembly including: a housing 10 and the aforementioned terminal fixing assembly. The housing 10 has an inner cavity. The terminal holding assembly is inserted into the inner cavity of the housing 10.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, a positioning hole 123 extending in the longitudinal direction Y is formed on the inner wall of the housing 10, and the positioning hole 123 is engaged with the positioning protrusion 23 on the holding body 20. The outer side surface of the positioning boss 23 contacts the inner wall surface of the positioning hole 123 to define the position of the holding body 20 in the lateral direction X and the height direction Z.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, the positioning hole 123 is a positioning blind hole formed on the inner wall of the housing 10, and the end surface of the positioning projection 23 contacts the bottom surface of the positioning hole 123 to define the position of the holding body 20 in the longitudinal forward direction.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, the housing 10 has a first insertion port 101 for a terminal-fixing assembly of a plug-in connector extending in the longitudinal direction Y and a second insertion port 102 for a mating connector extending in the height direction Y.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, the housing 10 is L-shaped, and the housing 10 includes: a first housing part 11 and a second housing part 12. The first housing part 11 extends in the longitudinal direction Y. The second housing portion 12 extends in the height direction Y and is connected to one end of the first housing portion 11. A first insertion port 101 is formed on the first housing portion 11 and a second insertion port 102 is formed on the second housing portion 12.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, the second housing portion 12 includes: an outer peripheral wall 121 and an inner peripheral wall 122. The inner circumferential wall 122 is spaced apart from the outer circumferential wall 121 by a predetermined gap to allow insertion of a mating housing of a mating connector (not shown). Positioning holes 123 are formed on the inner side of the inner peripheral wall 122.
In one exemplary embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1-8, a connector is also disclosed. The connector may be, for example, a high voltage connector, the connector comprising: the aforementioned connector housing assembly and terminals inserted into the retention body 20 of the connector housing assembly.
In one exemplary embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1-8, a connector is also disclosed. The connector includes: a housing 10 and a terminal assembly. The housing 10 has an inner cavity. The terminal assembly includes the aforementioned terminal holding assembly and a terminal inserted into the holding body 20 of the terminal holding assembly. The terminal assemblies are inserted into the interior cavities of the housing 10.
As shown in fig. 1 to 8, in the illustrated embodiment, the connector further includes: a cable (not shown) and a shield (not shown). One end of the cable is electrically connected to the terminal and fixed to the housing 10. The shield member electrically connects the shield layer of the cable to the shield shell 30 of the terminal fixing assembly.

the terminal is adapted to be inserted into the terminal insertion groove via the rear-end socket in a longitudinal direction of the holding body, and the mating terminal is adapted to be inserted into the terminal insertion groove via the top socket in a height direction of the holding body.
7. The terminal holding assembly for a high-voltage connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein:
the shield case includes:
a top wall;
a bottom wall;
a pair of side walls connected between both sides of the top wall and the bottom wall, respectively; and
a front end wall connected between the top wall, the bottom wall and the front ends of the side walls,
the back end of the shielding shell is opened, the retainer is inserted into the shielding shell from the opened back end of the shielding shell,
an opening is formed on a top wall of the shield shell to allow a mating terminal to be inserted into the terminal insertion slot of the holding body through the opening.
8. A connector housing assembly, comprising:
a housing having an interior cavity; and
the terminal holding assembly for a high-voltage connector as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 7, which is inserted into an inner cavity of said housing.
9. The connector housing assembly of claim 8, wherein:
a positioning hole extending along the longitudinal direction is formed on the inner wall of the shell and matched with the positioning bulge on the holding body;
the outer side surface of the positioning protrusion is in contact with the inner wall surface of the positioning hole to limit the position of the holding body in the transverse direction and the height direction.
10. The connector housing assembly of claim 9, wherein:

an inner peripheral wall spaced apart from the outer peripheral wall by a predetermined gap to allow insertion of a counterpart housing of a counterpart connector,
the positioning hole is formed on an inner side of the inner circumferential wall.
14. A connector, comprising:
the connector housing assembly of any one of claims 8-13; and
a terminal inserted into the retention body of the connector housing assembly.
15. A connector, comprising:
a housing having an interior cavity; and
a terminal assembly comprising the terminal holding assembly of any one of claims 1 to 7 and a terminal inserted in a holding body of the terminal holding assembly,
the terminal assembly is inserted into the interior cavity of the housing.
16. The connector of claim 15, further comprising:
a cable having one end electrically connected to the terminal and fixed to the housing; and
a shield electrically connecting the shield layer of the cable to the shield case of the terminal fixing assembly.
