Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a cup cover and a cup assembly. The cup cover is used for being matched with the cup body to seal an opening of the cup body, and comprises a cover body (11) and an interference fit portion (12). The cover body (11) is configured to cover an opening of the cup body, the interference fit portion (12) extends from the cover body at an outer periphery of the cover body, the interference fit portion (12) includes a first fitting wall (121) connected with the cover body, a curved connecting wall (122) extending from the first fitting wall, and a second fitting wall (123) extending from the connecting wall and opposite to the first fitting wall, wherein an annular receiving groove (124) for receiving an opening rim of the cup body is formed between the first fitting wall (121) and the second fitting wall (123), and wherein the first fitting wall (121) and the second fitting wall (123) are configured to clamp both sides of the opening rim of the cup body in an interference fit manner.

Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to a cup cover and a cup assembly.
Background
At present, in the aspect of beverage packaging and manufacturing, a finished cup body, such as a finished paper cup, is usually purchased outside in the paper-plastic industry, and then the cup cover is automatically produced to be matched with the purchased finished paper cup. However, in the current industry, most cup lids, especially paper-plastic cup lids, cannot achieve the sealing effect meeting the requirements, and after the cup lids are matched with finished paper cups, drinks can leak out. This is especially true when the beverage is a hot beverage.
It is desirable to improve the seal between the lid and the cup, particularly between the paper-plastic lid and the paper cup, by improving the structure of the lid. At the same time, it is desirable to improve the sealing between the lid and the cup at low cost.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
In response to the above-mentioned problems and needs, the present disclosure is directed to a novel cup lid and cup assembly having a cup lid that provides a good sealing effect.
Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a lid for cooperating with a cup to seal an opening of the cup, the lid including a lid configured to cover the opening of the cup and an interference fit portion extending from the lid at a periphery of the lid, the interference fit portion including a first mating wall connected with the lid, a curved connecting wall extending from the first mating wall, and a second mating wall extending from the connecting wall and opposite the first mating wall, wherein an annular receiving groove for receiving an opening rim of the cup is formed between the first mating wall and the second mating wall, and wherein the first mating wall and the second mating wall are configured to grip both sides of the opening rim of the cup in an interference fit.
According to a preferable mode, the cover body includes a flat portion at an outer periphery thereof, and the first fitting wall of the interference fit portion is connected to the flat portion and is at an angle of 70 degrees to 90 degrees with respect to the flat portion.
According to a preferred scheme, the first matching wall is at an angle which is larger than 0 degree and smaller than or equal to 20 degrees relative to the longitudinal axis of the cup cover.
According to a preferred scheme, the second matching wall is at an angle which is larger than 0 degree and smaller than or equal to 20 degrees relative to the longitudinal axis of the cup cover.
According to a preferred version, the cover comprises a raised portion higher than the flat portion.
According to a preferred aspect, the lid further includes a drink opening on the bulge, and the cup lid further includes a drink opening plug removably mounted to the drink opening.

The lid is adapted to cooperate with the cup to close the opening of the cup, and to this end, generally, the lid includes a lid body 11 covering the opening of the cup, and a cup engagement structure for effecting a fitting connection with the cup.
The specific structure of the cover 11 is not limited, and in the preferred embodiment of the present disclosure as shown in the drawings, the cover 11 is generally circular.
The cup body matching structure is used for being matched and connected with the opening edge of the cup body, so that the cup cover 1 and the cup body 2 are matched together and can be separated only by a certain force. In order to improve the sealing performance between the cup lid 1 and the cup body 2, the cup body matching structure of the lid body is improved significantly, and the cup body matching structure is set to be an interference fit structure, which is referred to as an interference fit part 12 in the text.
Referring to the drawings, the interference fit portion 12 extends from the cover 11 at the outer periphery of the cover 11. Preferably, the interference fit portion 12 is of an integral structure with the cover 11.
The interference-fit portion 12 includes a first fitting wall 121 connected to the cover 11, a curved connecting wall 122 extending from the first fitting wall, and a second fitting wall 123 extending from the connecting wall and opposite to the first fitting wall. The first mating wall 121, the connecting wall 122 and the second mating wall 123 are of an integral structure and smoothly transition with each other. It can be seen that when the cup and lid are mated together, first mating wall 121 of interference fit 12 of the cup may cause deformation of inner side 211 of brim curl 21 of the cup, and second mating wall 123 of the cup may cause deformation of outer side 212 of brim curl 21 to achieve the interference fit.
The cup cover is suitable for cup bodies and cup covers with various common sizes, in particular to paper cups and corresponding cup covers with conventional sizes.

Preferably, the first fitting wall 121 is angled at 70 to 90 degrees with respect to the flat portion. More preferably, the first fitting wall 121 is angled at 80 to 85 degrees with respect to the flat portion.
Preferably, first mating wall 121 is at an angle greater than 0 degrees and less than or equal to 20 degrees with respect to the longitudinal axis of the lid. More preferably, first mating wall 121 is at an angle greater than 10 degrees and less than or equal to 15 degrees with respect to the longitudinal axis of the lid.
Preferably, second mating wall 123 is at an angle greater than 0 degrees and less than or equal to 20 degrees with respect to the longitudinal axis of the lid. More preferably, the second mating wall 123 is at an angle greater than 10 degrees and less than or equal to 15 degrees relative to the longitudinal axis of the lid.
Through the angle characteristics, the cup cover and the cup body are further favorably sealed well, and the structure of the interference fit part is easy to separate the filler and the product from a hot press die in the hot press molding process, so that the manufacturing cost is very low.
