The application protects a shell assembly and a mobile terminal comprising the shell assembly. The mobile terminal can be a smart phone, a tablet computer, a game machine, a learning machine and the like. The housing assembly is described in detail below with a smart phone as an example.
Specifically, the mobile terminal includes a case assembly and a functional device. Referring to fig. 2 and 3, the housing assembly 200 includes a rear cover 210 and a decoration 220. The rear cover 210 has an inner surface 211 and an outer surface 212. The rear cover 210 has a mounting hole 213 formed therethrough from the inner surface 211 to the outer surface 212. The functional device (not shown) includes a power supply and a camera, the power supply corresponds to the inner side surface 211 of the rear cover 210, the camera is electrically connected with the power supply and is disposed corresponding to the mounting hole 213, and the decoration 220 is mounted on the outer surface 212 of the rear cover 210 and covers the mounting hole 213 to fix the camera and protect the camera. The decorative element 220 and the design surface 212 together perform a decorative function. In other embodiments, the functional device may be replaced by other electronic components with specific functional functions. In some embodiments, the mobile terminal includes a middle frame. The middle frame comprises a middle plate and a frame connected to the periphery of the middle plate. The rear cover 210 is connected to the bezel, and the functional device is mounted on the middle plate and is limited in a space surrounded by the middle plate and the inner side surface 211.
As shown in fig. 3, 4, 5 and 7, in particular, for the rear cover 210, the appearance surface 212 thereof includes a first surface 214 having a flat surface and a second surface 215 having a curved surface, and the second surface 215 is connected to the edge of the first surface 214. It should be noted that the curved design of the second surface 215 can make the appearance surface 212 exhibit better 3D effect. In addition, in the embodiment that the mobile terminal includes the middle frame, the periphery of the first surface 214 is connected with the second surface 215, that is, the second surface 215 surrounds the first surface 214 in a ring shape, and the second surface 215 is a convex arc surface extending towards the frame and smoothly connected with the first surface 214.
Specifically, the garnish 220 has an attachment surface 221 that engages the exterior surface 212. The engagement surface 221 includes a first engagement surface 222 and a second engagement surface 223, at least a portion of the first engagement surface 222 being engaged with the first surface 214, the second engagement surface 223 being engaged with the second surface 215; the second engagement surface 223 is curved. It is understood that the decoration 220 is connected to the surface 212, and the surface of the decoration 220 connected to the surface 212 is the connection surface 221. In this embodiment, the first engaging surface 222 is entirely engaged with the first surface 214, and in other embodiments, a part of the first engaging surface 222 may be engaged with the first surface 214, and the rest of the first engaging surface 222 may be engaged with the second surface 215. In some embodiments, first engagement face 222 may be adhesively engaged to first surface 214. The second engagement face 223 may be adhesively engaged to the first surface 214.
In the case assembly 200, all or part of the first joint surface 222 is joined to the first surface 214, and the second joint surface 223 is joined to the second surface 215, so that the first joint surface 222 and the second joint surface 223 are jointly matched to realize stable connection of the decoration piece 220 on the appearance surface 212 of the rear cover 210, and thus, complicated fixing pieces can be omitted, occupation of the space inside the rear cover 210 by the fixing pieces can be avoided, a large space is provided for installation of functional devices inside the rear cover 210, and the space inside the rear cover 210 can be fully utilized. Further, compared with the scheme that the decoration piece 220 is only arranged on the first surface 214, the decoration piece 220 can be made large by arranging the second joint surface 223 jointed with the second surface 215 on the decoration piece 220, so that the appearance expression is strong, and a better visual effect is achieved. Further, the second joining surface 223 has a curved surface capable of conforming to the second surface 215, which can help to reduce the gap between the second joining surface 223 and the second surface 215 to highlight the fineness of the design.
As shown in fig. 4 to 6, in the present embodiment, a boss 230 is disposed on the second joining surface 223, and the boss 230 is flexible and can be deformed under pressure to fill a gap between the second joining surface 223 and the second surface 215. Through setting up flexible boss 230, can be after boss 230 warp with the clearance filling that produces because of machining error between second faying face 223 and the second surface 215 to avoid having visual gap and influencing the outward appearance effect between second faying face 223 and the second surface 215, also avoid foreign matter to get into gap department between the two simultaneously and be unfavorable for the clearance. In addition, the boss 230 is provided on the second engagement surface 223 to be coupled with the deco 220, so as to be mounted on the rear cover 210 along with the deco 220, so that the mounting operation is simple and convenient, and the complexity of the mounting operation is reduced. In this embodiment, under the action of pressure, the second engaging surface 223 and the second surface 215 respectively abut against the two sides of the deformed boss 230 to achieve engagement. It will be appreciated that if the second joining surface 223 is adhesively joined to the second surface 215, the shape of the glue is not controllable, and even filling of the gap between the second joining surface 223 and the second surface 215 cannot be achieved if the glue is unevenly applied, and the glue easily overflows out of the second joining surface 223, which adversely affects the appearance. In this embodiment, by providing the boss 230, the gap between the second joint surface 223 and the second surface 215 can be uniformly filled, and deformation of the boss 230 can be controlled.
Note that the pressure of the boss 230 during the previous deformation is an external force acting on the garnish 220 to press it against the rear cover 210. When the decoration 220 is stably mounted on the rear cover 210, the pressure for maintaining the boss 230 in the deformed state is the bonding force after the bonding surface 221 and the appearance surface 212 are bonded, for example, the first bonding surface 222 is bonded to the first surface 214 by gluing, and the bonding force between the two can maintain the boss 230 in the deformed state.
Specifically, the height of the boss 230 protruding from the second bonding surface 223 along the direction perpendicular to the second bonding surface 223 is 0.03mm to 0.1 mm; the width of the boss 230 is 0.07mm or less in the bending direction of the second engagement surface 223. By designing the height and width of the boss 230, the boss 230 can achieve a better filling effect on the gap between the second joining surface 223 and the second surface 215 after being deformed. It is understood that the deformation of the boss 230 specifically means that the boss 230 deforms toward the side close to the first engagement surface 222 and the side away from the first engagement surface 222. Too small a cross-sectional area of the boss 230 will not be sufficient to fill the gap between the second engagement face 223 and the second surface 215, while too large a cross-sectional area of the boss 230 will affect the degree of deformation of the boss 230 and risk deforming the second engagement face 223.
Note that, since the second joining surface 223 is a curved surface, "a direction perpendicular to the second joining surface 223" specifically means: a direction indicated by a predetermined perpendicular line passing through a predetermined point on the second joining surface 223 and perpendicular to a tangent plane to the predetermined point. Thus, the height of the boss 230 has the specific meaning: the maximum value of the distance from the predetermined point on the predetermined vertical line on the boss 230. It is understood that any point on the projection 230 has a predetermined perpendicular line and a predetermined point corresponding thereto, and thus the largest distance value among the infinite distance values obtained between any point on the projection 230 and the predetermined point corresponding thereto is the height of the projection 230. The height of the boss 230 may be set to 0.03mm to 0.1mm when the boss 230 is made of a silicone material, and 0.03mm to 0.07mm when the boss 230 is made of a PC or PA material. It is understood that the height of the boss 230 may be set to a value of 0.03mm, 0.04mm, 0.05mm, 0.06mm, 0.07mm, 0.08mm, 0.09mm, 0.1mm, etc.
It is noted that the specific meaning of "cross section of the boss 230" is: a cross section obtained by cutting the boss 230 from the mounting hole 213 toward the edge of the rear cover 210 in a plane perpendicular to the first surface 214 is a shape that the boss 230 takes on in fig. 6. The specific meaning of "width of boss 230" is: an arc parallel to the second engagement surface 223 is drawn through any two points on the cross-section of the boss 230, the maximum arc length between the two points. The width of the boss 230 is not more than 0.07mm, and may be set to a value of 0.01mm, 0.02mm, 0.03mm, 0.04mm, 0.05mm, 0.06mm, 0.07mm, or the like.
As shown in fig. 6, in the present embodiment, the protruding platform 230 is a strip-shaped structure with a quadrilateral cross section, which is defined by a bottom surface 231, a top surface 232, a first side surface 233, and a second side surface 234. Further, the bottom surface 231 is coincident with a portion of the second engagement surface 223, the top surface 232 is opposite to the bottom surface 231, and the first side surface 233 and the second side surface 234 are connected between the bottom surface 231 and the top surface 232, wherein the first side surface 233 is close to the first engagement surface 222, and the second side surface 234 is far from the first engagement surface 222. Further, the top surface 232 is an arc surface parallel to the bottom surface 231, so that the distance D1 between the top surface 232 and the bottom surface 231 is the height of the protrusion 230. The first side surface 233 is perpendicular to the bottom surface 231, and the second side surface 234 is disposed obliquely to the first side surface 233, so that the boss 230 is tapered from the bottom surface 231 to the top surface 232 to facilitate deformation of the boss 230. Thus, the cross-section of the boss 230 has an arc length D2 between the intersection of the bottom surface 231 and the first side surface 233 and the intersection of the bottom surface 231 and the second side surface 234, which is the width of the boss 230. By such an arrangement, the boss 230 can meet the requirement of compensating the gap between the second engagement surface 223 and the second surface 215 after deformation on the basis of convenience in molding. It should be noted that in other embodiments, the cross-sectional shape of the boss 230 may also be triangular or inverted trapezoidal.
Referring again to fig. 4-6, further, the second engagement surface 223 includes a first region 223a, and the first region 223a is located on a side of the boss 230 away from the first engagement surface 222. It will be appreciated that when the boss 230 is undeformed, the boss 230 does not completely cover the second engagement face 223 and forms a first region 223a at an edge of the second engagement face 223 remote from the first engagement face 222. The projection width D3 of the first region 223a on the projection plane, which is a plane parallel to the first surface 214, is 0.1 mm. By setting the projected width of the first region 223a to 0.1mm, it can be ensured that the boss 230 does not overflow out of the garnish 220 after being deformed under pressure, and there is no problem that the gap between the first region 223a and the second surface 215 is not sufficiently filled. It will be appreciated that the projected width is set too large and the deformation of the projection 230 will not adequately fill the gap between the first region 223a and the second surface 215. When the projection width is set too small, the projection 230 will overflow to the outside of the first region 223a after being deformed, which will adversely affect the appearance. Therefore, in the case of ensuring that the boss 230 remains between the second joining surface 223 and the second surface 215 after being deformed, the projection width needs to be reduced as much as possible, so that the deformed boss 230 exactly corresponds to the edge of the first region 223a, so that the fineness of the structure is better presented, the quality of the product is improved, and the mobile terminal meets the quality requirement of high-end consumers.
Further, the second engagement face 223 includes a second region 223b, and the second region 223b is located on a side of the boss 230 near the first engagement face 222. It will be appreciated that the second region 223b and the first region 223a are located on either side of the boss 230. The second region 223b is proximate to the first engagement face 222, and the first region 223a is distal to the first engagement face 222. When the projection width of the first region 223a on the projection plane is D4, and the projection widths of the first region 223a and the second region 223b on the projection plane are equal to each other, D4-D3-0.01 mm. With this arrangement, it is ensured that the boss 230 does not overflow out of the second joining surface 223 after being deformed by pressure, and there is no problem that the gap between the second region 223b and the second surface 215 is not sufficiently filled. It will be appreciated that the projected width is set too large, and the projection 230 will not be deformed to adequately fill the gap between the second region 223b and the second surface 215. If the projection width is too small, the projection 230 will be deformed and then will overflow the second region 223b, which may affect the connection stability between the decoration 220 and the rear cover 210. Therefore, in the case of ensuring that the projection 230 remains between the second joining surface 223 and the second surface 215 after being deformed, it is necessary to reduce the projected width as much as possible so that the deformed projection 230 corresponds exactly to the edge of the second region 223 b.
Referring to fig. 4, 7 and 8, in particular, the joint surface 221 includes a third joint surface 224 joined to the first surface 214, and the third joint surface 224 and the second joint surface 223 are connected to together enclose a ring shape surrounding the first joint surface 222; the boss 230 extends from the junction of the second engagement face 223 and the third engagement face 224 toward the third engagement face 224 with a gradually decreasing thickness. It is understood that since the area of the first surface 214 of the rear cover 210 is larger than that of the second surface 215, and the area of the second surface 215 is insufficient to mount the deco 220, the deco 220 is partially mounted to the first surface 214 and partially mounted to the second surface 215. And for the side of the decoration 220 facing the rear cover 210, the annular region at the periphery is surrounded by the second joint surface 223 and the third joint surface 224, the second joint surface 223 is the region of the annular region jointed with the curved second surface 215, and the third joint surface 224 is the region of the annular region jointed with the first surface 214. Further, it will be appreciated that the third engagement surface 224 and the second engagement surface 223 have two connection locations to define a ring shape, and the main portion 235 of the boss 230 extends in a strip shape between the two connection locations, and the end portion 236 of the boss 230 extends obliquely from the main portion 235 toward the third engagement surface 224 and has a gradually decreasing thickness. If the engagement between the third engagement face 224 and the first surface 214 is referred to as a first set of engagements and the engagement between the second engagement face 223 and the second surface 215 is referred to as a second set of engagements, the mating of the tip portion 236 of the boss 230 and the body portion 235 may transition from the first set of engagements to the second set of engagements, allowing for adequate filling of the slight gap between the two sets of engagements.
In this embodiment, the third engagement surface 224 is adhesively engaged to the first surface 214. Specifically, the first engaging surface 222 is annular, and the area of the first surface 214, which is engaged with the first engaging surface 222, is disposed around the mounting hole 213, so that the first engaging surface 222 and the first surface 214 are stably engaged around the mounting hole 213 and inside the annular shape surrounded by the third engaging surface 224 and the second engaging surface 223, so as to improve the connection stability of the decoration 220 on the rear cover 210.
With reference to fig. 4, 7 and 8, specifically, the engagement surface 221 includes a fourth engagement surface 225, the fourth engagement surface 225 is located between the first engagement surface 222 and the second engagement surface 223, and at least a portion of the fourth engagement surface 225 is engaged with the second surface 215, which is configured such that the fourth engagement surface 225 performs a transition function between the first engagement surface 222 and the second engagement surface 223, so as to provide a large pressure effect for maintaining the deformation of the boss 230, and achieve stable pressing of the boss 230 by the second engagement surface 223. In this embodiment, all of the fourth engagement surface 225 is engaged with the second surface 215, and in other embodiments, a portion of the fourth engagement surface 225 is engaged with the second surface 215.
Further, the second engagement surface 223 is higher than the fourth engagement surface 225, and the fourth engagement surface 225 is separated from the first engagement surface 222 by a stopper 226. It is understood that the fourth engagement surface 225 is a bottom wall of a groove structure formed on a side of the decoration 220 facing the rear cover 210. When the fourth engagement surface 225 is adhesively engaged with the second surface 215, the groove can receive glue therein and limit the flow direction of the glue, so that the fourth engagement surface 225 and the second engagement surface 223 can be stably connected. By dividing the first, fourth and second attachment surfaces 222, 225 and 223 into a plurality of spaced regions, the decorative member 220 can be stably attached to the rear cover 210 without interfering with each other after being attached to the exterior surface 212. Further, the fourth bonding surface 225 is an arc surface parallel to the second surface 215, so that distances from each point on the fourth bonding surface 225 to the second surface 215 can be kept equal, and when glue is applied between the fourth bonding surface 225 and the second surface 215, the thickness of the glue is kept uniform, and the connection stability between the fourth bonding surface 225 and the second surface 215 is further improved.
In particular, the engagement surface 221 includes a fifth engagement surface 229 engaged with the first surface 214, the fifth engagement surface 229 and the fourth engagement surface 225 together defining an annular shape surrounding the first engagement surface 222, it being understood that the fifth engagement surface 229 and the fourth engagement surface 225 together define an annular region, the fifth engagement surface 229 being a region engaged with the first surface 214 and the fourth engagement surface 225 being a region engaged with the second surface 215. The stopper 226 extends in an annular shape to block an annular region surrounded by the fifth engagement surface 229 and the fourth engagement surface 225 from the first engagement surface 222. The fifth engagement surface 229 is adhesively engaged with the first surface 214.
In the embodiment, the decoration 220 is a plastic piece, and the boss 230 and the decoration 220 are integrally formed. It is understood that the material of the back cover 210 is plastic, such as PC (polycarbonate) or PA (polyamide). The decoration 220 is made of plastic material, which is beneficial to the stable connection between the decoration 220 and the rear cover 210. Because the boss 230 has flexibility, under the condition that the decoration 220 is a plastic part, the boss 230 can be integrally formed on the second joint surface 223, so that the connection stability of the boss 230 and the second joint surface is improved, the boss does not need to be assembled, and the production efficiency can be improved.
Further, the housing assembly 200 includes a decorative cover 240, the decorative cover 240 is formed on a side of the decorative member 220 facing away from the rear cover 210, and the decorative cover 240 is a hardware or ceramic member. Compared with plastic materials, the hardware and ceramic elements have higher hardness, better appearance and cool decoration effect. Therefore, by providing the decoration cover 240 on the side of the decoration 220 facing away from the rear cover 210, the decoration cover 240 can provide a better decoration effect. Specifically, when the decoration cover 240 is a hardware or ceramic piece, the material is hard and can be adhered to the decoration 220 by gluing. In order to improve the stability of the connection, a groove 227 may be formed in the decoration member 220 to adhere the decoration cover 240 to the groove 227.
In other embodiments, the decoration 220 is made of hardware or ceramic, and since the decoration 220 is made of a hard material, a relatively large gap will inevitably exist between the second joint surface 223 and the second surface 215, and at this time, a groove may be formed on the second joint surface 223, so that part of the boss 230 is accommodated in the groove and bonded to the decoration 220, thereby disposing the flexible boss 230 on the second joint surface 223. In other embodiments, the flexible boss 230 may be formed in the recess of the second engagement surface 223 by a double shot injection molding process.
Referring to fig. 3 and 7, in the present embodiment, a plurality of positioning blocks 228a are further disposed on the decoration 220 at intervals, and the positioning blocks 228a can cooperate to abut against the inner wall of the mounting hole 213, so that the decoration 220 can be quickly positioned when the decoration 220 is mounted on the rear cover 210, thereby facilitating assembly. Furthermore, the decoration element 220 is further protruded with a pressing block 228b, which is received in the mounting hole 213 to press the camera, thereby fixing the camera.
The technical features of the embodiments described above may be arbitrarily combined, and for the sake of brevity, all possible combinations of the technical features in the embodiments described above are not described, but should be considered as being within the scope of the present specification as long as there is no contradiction between the combinations of the technical features.
The above-mentioned embodiments only express several embodiments of the present application, and the description thereof is more specific and detailed, but not construed as limiting the scope of the utility model. It should be noted that, for a person skilled in the art, several variations and modifications can be made without departing from the concept of the present application, which falls within the scope of protection of the present application. Therefore, the protection scope of the present patent shall be subject to the appended claims.
