Abstract
The application relates to an electronic device and a key assembly thereof. The key assembly comprises a support and a keycap connected to the support; the keycap comprises a shell and a limiting piece, wherein the shell is arranged on one side of the support and is connected with the support. The limiting piece is connected to the shell, and one end, far away from the shell, of the limiting piece is overlapped on one side, far away from the shell, of the support, so that at least part of the structure of the support is located between the shell and the limiting piece. The key assembly is designed into a split type key comprising the support and the key cap, so that the processing difficulty and the installation difficulty of the key can be reduced, and the connection structure between each part of the key assembly is firmer.
Description
Technical Field
The present application relates to the field of communications devices, and in particular, to an electronic device and a key assembly thereof.
Background
With the continuous development of electronic technology, electronic devices such as smart phones or tablet computers have become electronic devices commonly used by users. In order to facilitate users to use the electronic device, keys (such as side keys) are often provided on the electronic device, so that the users can quickly invoke functions such as locking a screen, adjusting volume, and the like.
The side key of the current electronic equipment is usually directly installed in a key hole of a shell of the electronic equipment, and the side key is provided with a plurality of buckle structures which are buckled with the shell of the electronic equipment to prevent the side key from falling off. Such side keys typically require more coupling structures to ensure secure mounting with the housing of the electronic device and accurate mating with the key circuit board. However, forming a plurality of structures on the key at the same time increases the difficulty of processing and installing the key.
Disclosure of Invention
The embodiment of the application provides electronic equipment and a key assembly thereof, which are used for solving the technical problem.
According to a first aspect of the present application, a key assembly is provided, which includes a support and a key cap connected to the support; the keycap comprises a shell and a limiting piece, wherein the shell is arranged on one side of the support and is connected with the support. The limiting piece is connected to the shell, and one end, far away from the shell, of the limiting piece is overlapped on one side, far away from the shell, of the support, so that at least part of the structure of the support is located between the shell and the limiting piece.
In some embodiments, the housing includes an end wall and a side wall connected to a periphery of the end wall, the bracket overlying a side of the side wall remote from the end wall. The limiting pieces are at least two, and the at least two limiting pieces are connected to the side wall at intervals.

In order to make the technical solutions better understood by those skilled in the art, the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present application. It is to be understood that the embodiments described are only a few embodiments of the present application and not all embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present application.
As used in embodiments herein, a "electronic device" "a communication terminal" (or simply "terminal") includes, but is not limited to, an apparatus configured to receive/transmit communication signals via a wireline connection, such as via a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), a Digital Subscriber Line (DSL), a digital cable, a direct cable connection, and/or another data connection/network, and/or via a wireless interface (e.g., for a cellular network, a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), a digital television network such as a DVB-H network, a satellite network, an AM-FM broadcast transmitter, and/or another communication terminal). A communication terminal arranged to communicate over a wireless interface may be referred to as a "wireless communication terminal", a "wireless terminal", a "mobile terminal" and/or an "electronic device". Examples of electronic devices include, but are not limited to, satellite or cellular telephones; a Personal Communications System (PCS) terminal that may combine a cellular radiotelephone with data processing, facsimile and data communications capabilities; PDAs that may include radiotelephones, pagers, internet/intranet access, Web browsers, notepads, calendars, and/or Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers; and conventional laptop and/or palmtop receivers or other electronic devices that include a radiotelephone transceiver.
With the continuous development of electronic technology, electronic devices such as smart phones or tablet computers have become electronic devices commonly used by users. In order to facilitate users to use the electronic device, keys (such as side keys) are often provided on the electronic device, so that the users can quickly invoke functions such as locking a screen, adjusting volume, and the like.
The side key of the current electronic equipment is usually directly installed in a key hole of a shell of the electronic equipment, and the side key is provided with a plurality of buckle structures which are buckled with the shell of the electronic equipment to prevent the side key from falling off. Such side keys typically require more coupling structures to ensure secure mounting with the housing of the electronic device and accurate mating with the key circuit board. However, forming a plurality of structures on the key at the same time to facilitate the realization of the functions thereof undoubtedly increases the processing difficulty and the installation difficulty of the key.
In order to reduce the processing difficulty and the installation difficulty of the key, the inventor of the application has made long-term research and provides a split type key, wherein the key is divided into two parts, one part is used as the appearance structure of the key, and the other part is used for being installed in a matched manner with a shell of electronic equipment, so that different matched structures are respectively formed on the two parts of the key, and the processing difficulty and the installation difficulty of the key can be remarkably reduced. However, the inventor has further found in practice that the two-part structure of the split key is adhered together by glue, and there is a risk of falling off during use.
Therefore, the inventor has continued research on how to improve the bonding strength between the two-part structures of the split type keypad. Through extensive and repeated research, the inventor of the present application proposes an electronic device and a key assembly thereof, wherein the case assembly comprises a support and a key cap connected to the support. The key cap comprises a shell and a limiting part connected to the shell, the shell is arranged on one side of a support and connected with the support, one end of the limiting part is connected to the shell, one end, far away from the shell, of the limiting part is overlapped on one side, away from the shell, of the support, so that at least part of the structure of the support is located between the shell and the limiting part, clamping structures are formed on the support by utilizing the shell and the limiting part respectively on two sides of the support, the key cap and the support can be effectively prevented from being separated from each other, and the connection structure between each part of the key assembly is firmer. In addition, through designing the button subassembly for including the split type button of support and key cap, can form different cooperation structures respectively in the support and the key cap of button, for example, the key cap is as the outward appearance part, can carry out outward appearance processing alone, and then can form on the support through processing with the structure of case circuit board contact, can show the processing degree of difficulty and the installation degree of difficulty that reduces the button.
The electronic device and the key assembly thereof proposed by the present application will be further explained with reference to the detailed description and the accompanying drawings.
Referring to fig. 1, an electronic device 200 is provided in the present embodiment, where the electronic device 200 may be, but is not limited to, an electronic device such as a mobile phone, a tablet computer, and a smart watch. The electronic device 200 of the present embodiment is described by taking a mobile phone as an example.
The electronic device 200 includes a housing 201, and a display screen 203 and a key assembly 100 disposed on the housing 201, in this embodiment, the display screen 203 generally includes a display panel, and may also include a circuit for responding to a touch operation performed on the display panel, and the like. The Display panel may be a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panel, and in some embodiments, the Display panel may also be a touch screen Display.
In this embodiment, the housing 201 may be a middle frame of the electronic device 200, which may include a middle frame plate (not shown in the figure) and a frame 2011. The frame 2011 is disposed around the periphery of the middle frame plate, and the two frames together form a receiving space for receiving electronic components such as a battery and a circuit board of the electronic device 200. Further, the casing 201 may further have a key hole 2013, and the key hole 2013 is used for accommodating the key assembly 100.
The key assembly 100 is mounted in a key hole 2013 of the casing 210, and serves as a function shortcut of the electronic device 200, and is configured to receive a manipulation action of a user to enable the electronic device 200 to perform a corresponding function. In this embodiment, the key assembly 100 may be a side key of the electronic device 200, which is disposed on the frame 2011 of the housing 201. In some other embodiments, key assembly 100 may be disposed at other parts of electronic device 200, for example, at a front side surface or a rear side surface of electronic device 200, and is not limited to the description of the embodiment.
Referring to fig. 2, the key assembly 100 includes a support 10 and a key cap 30, the support 10 is at least partially installed in a casing 201, the key cap 30 is disposed at one side of the support 10, and forms an appearance surface of the electronic device 200 together with the casing 201 as an appearance portion of the key assembly 100 exposed outside the casing 201.
Referring to fig. 3, the bracket 10 includes a main body 12 and a connecting portion 14 connected to the main body 12. In the present embodiment, the main body 12 has a substantially elongated plate shape, extends along the length direction of the frame 2011, and is used to form a portion that contacts the circuit board in the housing 201. The coupling portion 14 is coupled to one side of the main body 12 and is used to couple with the key cap 30. In the present embodiment, the combining portion 14 protrudes relative to the surface of the main body 12 so as to be connected with the key cap 30 in a plugging manner. Further, the joining portion 14 is also substantially elongated, and is substantially perpendicular to the body 12. Further, in some embodiments, both ends of the bonding portion 14 may be convexly formed with protrusions 141 with respect to a middle portion thereof, and the protrusions 141 are used to cooperate with a partial structure of the key cap 30 to enhance the connection strength between the support 10 and the key cap 30.
Referring to fig. 2 and fig. 3, in the present embodiment, the key cap 30 includes a housing 32 and a position-limiting member 34 connected to the housing 32. The housing 32 is disposed on one side of the support 10, and one end of the limiting member 34 away from the housing 32 is overlapped on one side of the support 10 away from the housing 32, so that at least a part of the structure of the support 10 is located between the housing 32 and the limiting member 34, and thus, by using the housing 32 and the limiting member 34 to form a clamping structure on the support 10 on both sides of the support 10, the keycap 30 and the support 10 can be effectively prevented from being separated from each other, and the connection structure between the parts of the key assembly 100 is firmer.
The housing 32 includes an end wall 321 and a side wall 323, the side wall 323 is connected to a periphery of the end wall 321 and is bent relative to the end wall 321 to form a receiving space 325 together with the end wall 321, and the receiving space 325 is used for receiving the combining portion 14 of the support 10, so that the key cap 30 and the support 10 are connected in a nested manner.
In the present embodiment, the end wall 321 of the key cap 30, which is the appearance part of the key assembly 100 exposed outside the casing 201, forms the appearance surface of the electronic device 200 together with the casing 201, which can obtain different appearance effects via process treatments such as surface drawing, anodic oxidation, etching, sand blasting, and the like. When the combining portion 14 of the bracket 10 is received in the receiving space 325, an adhesive (not shown) is disposed between the combining portion 14 and the end wall 321, and the adhesive is used for adhering the end wall 321 and the combining portion 14 together. The bonding piece can be polyurethane hot melt adhesive to ensure that the bonding piece has larger bonding force.
Further, referring to fig. 4 and fig. 5, an accommodating groove 3211 is disposed on a side of the end wall 321 facing the accommodating space 325, the accommodating groove 3211 is disposed corresponding to the protruding portion 141 of the combining portion 14, and the protruding portion 141 is at least partially accommodated in the accommodating groove 3211. Through the matching structure of the protrusion 141 and the accommodating groove 3211, the laying area of the adhesive can be increased to enhance the bonding force between the bracket 10 and the key cap 30. Meanwhile, the end wall 321 is provided with a structure of a containing groove 3211 recessed relative to other portions, the containing groove 3211 can serve as a glue containing groove, and when glue is applied between the joint portion 14 and the end wall 321 and pressure maintaining and curing are performed, the glue can be prevented from overflowing, so that the adhesive force between the two can be ensured.
In the present embodiment, the side wall 323 has a substantially annular structure, and is disposed around the periphery of the end wall 321 to form a receiving groove 3211. The end of the side wall 323 away from the end wall 321 overlaps the main body 12 of the bracket 10, and the combining portion 14 of the bracket 10 protrudes into the accommodating groove 3211, so that the key assembly 100 is more compact.
Referring to fig. 2 and 3 again, the position-limiting element 34 is connected to the sidewall 323. In the present embodiment, the stopper 34 includes a connecting portion 341 and a stopper portion 343. The connecting portion 341 is connected between the sidewall 323 and the limiting portion 343, and the limiting portion 343 bends relative to the connecting portion 341 and abuts against a side of the main body 12 away from the sidewall 323. In the embodiment of the present application, the bending angle of the limiting portion 343 with respect to the connecting portion 341 is not limited, for example, the limiting portion 343 is bent 90 degrees, 120 degrees, 135 degrees, or the like with respect to the connecting portion 341. In some embodiments, the surface of the position-limiting portion 343 facing the main body 12 is an inclined surface, which is disposed in an inclined manner relative to the main body 12, and the inclined surface makes the thickness of the end portion of the position-limiting portion 343 far from the connecting portion 341 relatively thin, and makes the thickness of the position-limiting portion 343 near the connecting portion 341 relatively thick, after the main body 12 is stacked on the side wall 323, an external force is applied to the position-limiting portion 343 to bend relative to the connecting portion 341, and the inclined surface can continuously abut against the surface of the main body 12 during the bending process, so that an interference fit structure is finally formed between the position-limiting portion 341 and the main body 12, thereby enhancing the assembling structural strength of the two portions. Therefore, in the key assembly 100 provided in the present embodiment, before the key assembly 100 is assembled, the limiting member 34 is substantially in a sheet shape, in the process of assembling the key assembly 100, the combining portion 14 of the bracket 10 is inserted into the accommodating groove 3211 of the key cap 30, the main body 12 of the bracket 10 is overlapped at one end of the side wall 323, and then, an external force is applied to the limiting portion 343 to bend the limiting portion relative to the connecting portion 341 and abut against one side of the main body 12 away from the side wall 323, so that the key cap 30 forms a clamping structure for the bracket 10.
Further, referring to fig. 3 and fig. 6, in some embodiments, the main body 12 may be provided with a matching groove 121 for avoiding the limiting member 34, the matching groove 121 is disposed on a side of the main body 12 and corresponds to the limiting member 34, and the connecting portion of the limiting member 34 is disposed through the matching groove 121. In this way, other portions of the edge of the main body 12 can overlap the end of the side wall 323, and only the portion of the main body 12 corresponding to the limiting member 34 is set aside, which is beneficial to providing more contact surfaces between the bracket 10 and the side wall 323, thereby improving the bonding strength of the two.
In the embodiment of the present application, the number of the stoppers 34 is not limited. For example, the number of the limiting members 34 is at least two, and the at least two limiting members 34 are respectively disposed on two opposite sides of the side wall 323, so as to form a clamping structure for the bracket 10 from two sides, thereby further improving the assembling structure strength of the key assembly 100.
Further, referring to fig. 3 again, in the present embodiment, the side wall 323 includes a first side wall 3231 and a second side wall 3233 opposite to each other, and the first side wall 3231 and the second side wall 3233 are respectively connected to two opposite sides of the end wall 321 and are substantially perpendicular to the end wall 321. The first side wall 3231, the second side wall 3233 and the end wall 321 together form a receiving groove 3211. In this embodiment, the end of the first side wall 3231 and the end of the second side wall 3233 may be connected by a circular arc-shaped side wall to form a cap-shaped structure of the key cap 30. Corresponding to the structure of the side wall 323, in the present embodiment, there are two limiting members 34, the two limiting members 34 are respectively connected to the first side wall 3231 and the second side wall 3233, and the bent portions 343 of the two limiting members 34 are bent toward the accommodating groove 3211, so as to clamp the main body 12 of the bracket 10 together with the housing 32. Further, the stoppers 34 connected to the first side wall 3231 and the stoppers 34 connected to the second side wall 3233 are disposed in a staggered manner to provide an operation space for assembling the key cap 30 and the support 10.
Further, in this embodiment, the support 10 and the key cap 30 can be made of different materials to meet the processing requirements of different structures, so as to further reduce the processing difficulty and the processing cost of the key assembly 100. For example, the support 10 may be made of plastic, and the key cap 30 may be made of metal. The bracket 10 made of plastic can be formed by injection molding to conveniently form various complex structures, such as the combination part 14, the matching groove 121 and the like, thereby reducing the manufacturing difficulty and cost. The key cap 30 made of metal can be conveniently machined by CNC to form structures such as the accommodating groove 3211 and the position-limiting member 34, and can enable the position-limiting member 34 to have a plastic deformation capability to clamp and clamp the support 10. Further, the key cap 30 made of metal may obtain different appearance effects through processes such as surface drawing, anodizing, etching, sand blasting, and the like. When the key assembly 100 is mounted on the casing 201 of the electronic device 200, due to the plastic material of the support 10, the support 10 provides a signal transmission channel for the radio frequency module of the electronic device 200, so as to prevent shielding of electromagnetic signals, and ensure that the electronic device 200 has better signal transmission capability.
In some embodiments, the key assembly 100 can further include a conductive base 50, and the conductive base 50 is disposed on a side of the support 10 facing away from the housing 32. The conductive base 50 is used to contact a circuit board (e.g., a key circuit board) inside the electronic device 200 to transmit a pressing action received by the key assembly 100, so that the electronic device 200 generates and executes a corresponding instruction according to the pressing action. In the embodiment, the conductive base 50 is made of an elastic material to buffer the impact of an external force on the key circuit board, so as to prolong the service life of the key assembly 100 and the electronic device 200. Further, the hardness of the conductive base 50 is less than that of the support 10, which not only can ensure the structural strength of the key assembly 100, but also can buffer the impact of external force on the key circuit board. In some embodiments, the conductive base 50 may be made of rubber, for example, the conductive base 50 may be made of TPU (Thermoplastic Urethane elastomer).
Further, the number of the conductive bases 50 may be multiple, and the multiple conductive bases 50 are sequentially arranged along the length direction of the main body 12 at intervals to correspond to different portions of the key assembly 100, and when a user presses different portions of the key assembly 100, different conductive bases 50 contact the key circuit board to trigger different functions.
Further, in some embodiments, the main body 12 may be provided with a mounting portion 18 corresponding to the conductive base 50, the mounting portion 18 protruding with respect to the surface of the main body 12, and the conductive base 50 being fixed to an end of the mounting portion 18. By providing the mounting portion 18 of a predetermined height, it is possible to control the key assembly 100 to have a desired key stroke, and to reduce the manufacturing cost of the key assembly 100 by appropriately saving the material of the holder 10.

Claims (10)
1. A key assembly, comprising a support and a key cap coupled to the support; the bracket comprises a main body; the key cap includes:
the shell is arranged on one side of the bracket and is connected with the bracket; the shell comprises an end wall and a side wall, the side wall is connected to the periphery of the end wall, and the bracket is superposed on one side of the side wall far away from the end wall; and
the limiting piece is connected to the shell, and one end, far away from the shell, of the limiting piece is superposed on one side, far away from the shell, of the support, so that the main body of the support is located between the side wall and the limiting piece; the limiting part comprises a connecting part and a limiting part, the connecting part is connected between the side wall and the limiting part, and the limiting part is bent relative to the connecting part and is abutted against one side of the main body, which is far away from the side wall; the limiting part faces the surface of the main body and is obliquely arranged relative to the main body, so that the thickness of the end part of the limiting part far away from the connecting part is smaller than that of the part of the limiting part close to the connecting part, and an interference fit structure is formed between the limiting part and the main body.
2. The key assembly of claim 1, wherein the number of the position-limiting members is at least two, and at least two of the position-limiting members are connected to the side wall in a spaced manner.
3. The key assembly of claim 1, wherein the side walls include a first side wall and a second side wall opposite to each other, at least two of the position-limiting members are respectively connected to the first side wall and the second side wall, and the position-limiting members connected to the first side wall and the position-limiting members connected to the second side wall are disposed in a staggered manner.
4. The key assembly of claim 1, wherein the side wall and the end wall together form an accommodating space, and the bracket includes a coupling portion connected to the main body, the coupling portion being accommodated in the accommodating space.
5. The key assembly of claim 4, wherein two ends of the coupling portion are protruded to form protruding portions with respect to a middle portion of the coupling portion, a receiving groove is formed at a side of the end wall facing the receiving space, and the protruding portions are at least partially received in the receiving groove.
6. The key assembly of claim 4, wherein an adhesive is disposed between the bonding portion and the end wall, and the adhesive is polyurethane hot melt adhesive.
7. The key assembly of claim 4, wherein the side of the main body has a fitting groove, the main body overlaps the end of the side wall, and the position-limiting member is inserted into the fitting groove.
8. A key assembly as recited in any one of claims 1-7, further comprising a conductive base attached to a side of the bracket facing away from the housing, the conductive base being formed from an elastomeric material.
9. A key assembly as recited in claim 8, wherein the key cap is formed of metal and the carrier is formed of plastic, and the conductive base has a hardness that is less than a hardness of the carrier.
10. An electronic device, comprising:
the key comprises a shell, a key hole and a key hole, wherein the shell is provided with the key hole; and
a key assembly as recited in any one of claims 1-9, wherein the key assembly is mounted to the key hole.
