Detailed Description
A locker 10 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to fig. 1 to 3. The locker 10 includes a locker assembly 1 and a support plate 2. In the case of the application of the latching device 10 to a vehicle front hatch, the support plate 2 may be a latch reinforcement plate on the front hatch, which may be fixed to the inside of the front hatch by means of the two ends 23,24, for example by welding, riveting or bolting. Furthermore, the support plate 2 can be any fixed or mounted support plate when the latch assembly is used in other environments.
As shown more clearly in fig. 2 and 3, the latch assembly 1 may include a latch body 11 and an adjustment bolt 14, which when mounted (as shown in fig. 1), for example, at a support plate or other component, the latch body 11 and adjustment bolt 14 cooperate to form a latch ring at the support plate or other component for cooperating with a latch hook, latch, or the like on another opposing component to form a locking mechanism. The latch main body 11 includes: a first leg 12, a second leg 13, and a connecting section 16 connecting proximal ends 122,132 of the first leg 12 and the second leg 13, the first leg 12 having a length greater than the second leg 13, the distal end 121 of the first leg 12 having external threads, and the distal end 131 of the second leg 13 having or not having external threads, such as being cylindrical. The adjusting bolt 14 is a separate component from the shackle body 11, having a proximal end 142 and a distal end 141. The distal end 141 of the adjustment bolt 14 is externally threaded and the proximal end 142 of the adjustment bolt 14 is adapted to mate with the distal end 131 of the second leg 13. For example, the proximal end 142 of the adjustment bolt 14 has a matching recess with the distal end 131 of the second leg 13. In some embodiments, the recess is shaped to allow the adjusting bolt 14 to rotate relative to the second leg distal end 131 when the second leg distal end 131 fits in the recess, e.g., the recess has a shape that matches the cylindrical outer shape of the second leg distal end 131. In some embodiments, a rubber cap 15 is also provided between the proximal end 142 of the adjustment bolt 14 and the distal end 131 of the second leg 13. The rubber cap 15 may strengthen the fit of the adjusting bolt 14 and the second leg 13 of the shackle body 11, thereby avoiding a gap and possible noise therebetween. Although in the illustrated embodiment the rubber cap 15 is shown as a separate component, in an alternative embodiment the rubber cap 15 may be attached to the adjusting bolt 14 or the second leg 13 of the shackle body 11. Additionally, the proximal end 142 of the adjustment bolt 14 may have an outer polygonal profile on the outside thereof to mate with a driving member such as a wrench. Where the distal end 131 of the second leg 13 is externally threaded, the recess of the proximal end 142 of the adjustment bolt 14 may be internally threaded, thereby enhancing the fit of the second leg 13 and the adjustment bolt 14. In other embodiments, the distal end 131 of the second leg 13 and the proximal end 142 of the adjustment bolt 14 may be engaged in other suitable manners, so long as the engagement ensures that the latch body 11 cannot move in the installed state of FIG. 3.
In the embodiment shown, the first leg 12 is substantially parallel to the second leg 13. In the illustrated embodiment, the connecting section 16 is a substantially straight section perpendicular to the first leg 12 and the second leg 13. In an alternative embodiment, the connecting segment 16 may be an arcuate segment connected between the proximal ends of the first and second legs 12, 13. As best shown in fig. 3, in some embodiments, the length of the first leg 12 is substantially equal to the length of the second leg 13 plus the adjustment bolt 14 (with a deviation of less than 10 percent), alternatively, the former may be greater than or less than the latter (with a deviation of more than 10 percent). It can be seen that the latch assembly is generally U-shaped when assembled to facilitate engagement of devices such as latch hooks, latches, etc.
As shown, the support plate 2 is provided with a first nut 21 and a second nut 22, the first nut 21 receiving the distal end 121 of the first leg 12 of the lock body, and the second nut 22 receiving the distal end 141 of the adjustment bolt 14. For this reason, the distance between the first nut 21 and the second nut 22 on the support plate 2 needs to be set appropriately. In the embodiment shown in fig. 1 to 3, the first nut 21 and the second nut 22 are fixed to the support plate 2, for example to the front side of the support plate 2 or, as in the figures, to the back side of the support plate 2. The first nut 21 and the second nut 22 may be fixed to the support plate 2 by welding, riveting, or the like, for example.
How the locker is adjusted in this embodiment will be described by taking the case of fig. 3 as an example. First, the adjusting bolt 14 is driven further in by the wrench engaging with the outer polygonal contour of the proximal end 142 of the adjusting bolt 14, so that the proximal end 142 of the adjusting bolt 14 is separated from the distal end 131 of the second leg 13 of the shackle body 11; then, the latch body 11 is rotated by using the first leg 12 of the latch body 11 as a rotation axis, so as to adjust the distance from the connecting section 16 of the latch body 11 to the support plate 2, i.e. the height of the latch body 11, and the latch body is adjusted in place after rotating an integer number of turns, at which time the distal end 131 of the second leg 13 of the latch body 11 is aligned with the adjusting bolt 14; finally, the adjusting bolt 14 is rotated in the opposite direction so that the proximal end 142 of the adjusting bolt 14 engages the distal end 131 of the second leg 13 of the shackle body 11 with the rubber cap therebetween. In this way the height of the locker can be easily adjusted.
With continued reference to fig. 4 and 5, a latching mechanism according to another embodiment of the present invention will be described. In this embodiment, the same components as in the embodiment of fig. 1 to 3 will not be described again, except that the support plate 2 is replaced by a support plate 3. The support plate 3 can likewise be fixed to the vehicle front hatch inner side, for example by means of bolts 33, 34. In this embodiment, the second nut 32 is also fixed to the support plate 3, for example to the outside of the support plate 3, on the same side of the support plate 3 as the latch body 11, while the first nut 31 is rotatably riveted to the support plate 3. In addition, the first nut 31 includes a nut head 311 having an outer polygonal profile, the nut head 311 being located at the same side of the support plate 3 as the locker body 11. In this arrangement, the locker adjustment is substantially the same as described in relation to fig. 3, however the step in which the locker body 11 is rotated to adjust the locker height may be replaced by rotating the first nut 31. Specifically, with the locker body 11 held stationary, the nut head 311 is screwed with a wrench or the like to rotate the first nut 31, thereby achieving locker height adjustment. By this arrangement a finer height adjustment of the latching means can be achieved, since no integer turns are required.
The latch assembly and the latch device of the present invention are applicable to a vehicle, such as a vehicle front hatch. The position requirement of the front hatch cover lock body can be reduced through the adjustable lock catch, for example, a complicated adjusting mode that the size requirement is ensured by adjusting the lock body can be avoided, meanwhile, a special positioning tool of the lock body is omitted, the cost and the working time are saved, and the follow-up after-sale maintenance is facilitated. In addition, the rubber sleeve structure of the lock catch can avoid the abnormal sound problem caused by the fit clearance of the lock catch.
The foregoing description of the specific embodiments has been presented only to illustrate the principles of the utility model more clearly, and in which various features are shown or described in detail to facilitate an understanding of the principles of the utility model. Various modifications or changes to the utility model will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art without departing from the scope of the utility model. It is to be understood that such modifications and variations are intended to be included within the scope of the present invention.
