Fastener tape assembly and diaper including the same

Technical Field

The present invention relates to the field of personal hygiene articles, in particular to a fastening tape assembly for a diaper and a diaper comprising a fastening tape assembly.

Background

This section provides background information related to the present invention, and such information does not necessarily constitute prior art to the present invention.

The fastener tape assembly may be used in disposable articles, particularly disposable diapers, for rolling and adhesively securing the used diaper together for disposal. For example, infants often use training pants or pant-type diapers during potty training.

Pant diapers may also be used in the adult incontinence market. Pant diapers are generally thinner than diapers, and pant diapers are designed to include certain features of both the diaper and the undergarment. Pant diapers may be disposable and discarded, or they may be reused, but require cleaning between uses. Fastening tape assemblies in the form of tape assemblies are commonly used to hold used diapers in a "rolled up" form for disposal or disposal. Specifically, the tape assembly does not affect the normal use of the normal diaper product when the diaper product is worn, and it is desirable that the tape assembly is as small as possible, and when the used diaper is wound up by the tape assembly after the diaper product is used, it is desirable that the tape assembly is long enough, and for this reason, a folding tape assembly is disposed on the diaper product, and when the diaper product is normally used, the folding tape assembly is folded together, and when the diaper product is discarded, the folding tape assembly is unfolded so as to conveniently wind up the rolled-up diaper product. The present invention provides a fastening band assembly having improved fastening reliability and easy operation.

The present invention provides a fastening tape assembly comprising: a fastening component comprising a first free edge; a bonding means for securing to a diaper or substrate; and an intermediate member, the fastening member, the intermediate member and the engaging member being stacked in this order, a first hook member being provided on a surface of the first free edge facing the intermediate member, the first hook member being flush with or extending beyond the first free edge.

Advantageously, the engaging means comprises a first folded edge engaging with the intermediate means and a second free edge opposite to the first folded edge, wherein a second hook means is provided on the surface of the second free edge facing the diaper or substrate.

Advantageously, the intermediate component includes a second folded edge joined to the fastening component and a second edge opposite the second folded edge, the second edge of the intermediate component extending beyond the first hook component.

Advantageously, the first hook component extends beyond the first folded edge of the engaging component.

Advantageously, the fastening component, the intermediate component and the joining component are in the form of a Z-folded assembly by joining the second folded edge of the intermediate component with the fastening component and joining the first folded edge of the joining component with the intermediate component at the second edge.

Advantageously, the first hook component and the second hook component each comprise a polypropylene-based film layer and a plurality of mushroom-head protrusions of circular or oval shape disposed on the polypropylene-based film layer.

Advantageously, the plurality of mushroom-head protrusions are configured to have a density of greater than or equal to 1600 per square inch on the polypropylene-based film layer.

Advantageously, the fastening means, the intermediate means and the joining means are each a single-coated tape comprising a cast polypropylene film layer and a styrene-isoprene system pressure-sensitive adhesive layer coated on the cast polypropylene film layer.

Advantageously, the width of the first hook member in the width direction of the fastening member is 5mm to 10 mm.

The utility model also provides a diaper comprising the above fastener tape assembly.

The fastener strip assembly according to embodiments of the present invention has one or more of the following benefits: 1) by providing a hook member on the free edge of the fastening component of the fastening tape assembly, such that the hook member serves both as a user lift end and as a fixed end to hold the "rolled up" diaper, improved fastening reliability is provided and ease of handling is achieved; 2) by providing the hook member on the edge of the engaging member of the fastening tape assembly so that the hook member serves as a fixed end fixed to the diaper, improved fastening reliability is provided; 3) by providing hook members that extend beyond the respective folded edge, the thickness of the folded portion of the fastener tape assembly can be reduced to reduce the process pressure effect.

The following description of the preferred embodiment(s) is merely exemplary in nature and is in no way intended to limit the utility model, its application, or uses.

Referring to FIG. 1, there is shown a fastening tape assembly 10 in a folded ready state according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprising: a fastening component 20 comprising a first free edge 21 and a third edge 22 opposite the first free edge 21; a bonding element 30 for securing to a diaper or substrate; an intermediate member 40 disposed between the fastening member 20 and the bonding member 30 and bonded thereto, for example, by an adhesive or the like. The fastening component 20 as the top layer, the intermediate component 40 as the intermediate layer and the engaging component 30 as the bottom layer can be put on standby by being engaged by respective folded edges to form a folded assembly form in which a first hook member 50 is provided on the surface of the first free edge 21 of the fastening component 20 facing the intermediate component 40, the first hook member 50 being flush with the first free edge 21 or extending beyond the first free edge 21.

The arrangement and function of the first hook component will be described with reference to the fastener tape assembly of figure 2 in an unfolded use condition, the folded fastener tape assembly 10 being unfolded in use for fixedly holding an article such as a pant diaper, the engaging component 30 being first secured to the article, for example by adhesive or mechanical fasteners, then the first hook component 50 at the first free edge of the fastening component 20 is lifted such that the fastening component 20 is peeled away from the intermediate component 40, the intermediate component 40 is peeled away from the engaging component 30 and unfolded, finally, the first hook component 50 of the fastening component 20 is secured to the article (e.g. by hook and loop engagement between the hook component and corresponding "loop" fibres or the like on the diaper) to hold the article such as a pant diaper in a "rolled up" form for disposal or disposal. Thus, the first hook member can serve as both a user-lifted end and a mechanical fastener when the folded fastener tape assembly 10 is in use, thereby achieving improved fastening reliability and ease of operation of the fastener tape assembly.

A second embodiment according to the present invention is explained in conjunction with fig. 3. The combining member 30 may include a first folded edge 31 combined with the intermediate member 40 and a second free edge 32 opposite to the first folded edge 31, wherein a second hook member 60 is provided on a diaper or substrate facing surface of the second free edge 32, which allows the combining member 30 to be mechanically fixed to the diaper by the second hook member 60 when the fastening tape assembly is in use, thereby achieving improved fastening reliability of the fastening tape assembly.

Referring again to fig. 1, the intermediate member 40 may include a second folded edge 41 joined with the fastening member 20 and a second edge 42 opposite the second folded edge 41, and thus, the fastening member, the intermediate member, and the joining member are in the form of a Z-folded assembly by joining the second folded edge 41 of the intermediate member 40 with the fastening member (e.g., at the third edge 22 of the fastening member 20), and joining the first folded edge 31 of the joining member 30 with the intermediate member at the second edge 42. Wherein the second edge 42 of the intermediate member 40 extends beyond the first hook member 50 to substantially cover the first hook member 50 in the folded condition. This configuration can prevent the first hook component from causing undesired engagement (e.g., the hook component catching fibers at other unsuitable locations of the pant diaper) due to its good engageability before the fastener strip assembly is used (in a folded standby state), while protecting the first hook component from contamination or damage.

Advantageously, the first hook member 50 on the first free edge 21 of the fastening component 20 extends beyond the first folded edge 31 of the engaging component 30, the configuration being such that the thickness of the fastening tape assembly in the folded standby state is reduced at the folded portion (the hook member being offset from the folded edge in the thickness direction) to reduce the effect of process pressure.

In an embodiment according to the present invention, the first hook component 50 of the fastening component 20 may include a polypropylene-based film layer and a plurality of mushroom-head protrusions arranged on the polypropylene-based film layer in a circular or oval shape, wherein the polypropylene-based film layer of the first hook component may be secured to a corresponding surface of the first free edge of the fastening component by, for example, an adhesive, and the plurality of mushroom-head protrusions are configured to have a density of greater than or equal to 1600 per square inch on the polypropylene-based film layer. In other aspects according to embodiments of the utility model, the secondary hook member 60 of the engaging member 30 may have the same configuration as the primary hook member 50 of the fastening member 20, but may of course have other configurations suitable for mechanical fastening than the primary hook member.

The fastening part 20, the intermediate part 40 and the coupling part 30 of the above-described fastener tape assembly according to an embodiment of the present invention may each be a single-coated tape including a cast polypropylene film layer and a styrene-isoprene system pressure-sensitive adhesive layer coated on the cast polypropylene film layer. Specifically, the width of the first hook member 50 is 5mm to 10mm in the width direction of the fastening member 20 in the form of a single-sided coated tape. In other aspects according to embodiments, the fastening member, the intermediate member, and the coupling member may also have other suitable shapes such as a strip, a sheet, and the like.

The utility model also provides a diaper comprising the above described fastener tape assembly, which may in particular be a pant-type diaper, which may comprise a spunbond nonwoven layer or a through-air nonwoven layer to which the fastener tape assembly is secured.

Although various aspects of embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail herein, it is to be understood that this invention is not limited to the particular embodiments described and illustrated in detail herein, and that other modifications and variations may be effected by one skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the utility model, all of which are within the scope of the utility model. Moreover, all the components described herein may be replaced by other technically equivalent components.

Claims (10)

1. A fastening strap assembly (10) comprising:

a fastening component (20) comprising a first free edge (21);

a bonding means (30) for securing to a diaper or substrate; and

an intermediate member (40) in which the fastening member, the intermediate member and the coupling member are stacked in this order,

characterized in that a first hook member (50) is provided on the surface of the first free edge (21) facing the intermediate member (40), the first hook member (50) being flush with the first free edge (21) or extending beyond the first free edge (21).

2. The fastening tape assembly (10) of claim 1,

the engaging means (30) comprises a first folded edge (31) engaging with the intermediate means (40) and a second free edge (32) opposite to the first folded edge (31), wherein a second hook member (60) is provided on a surface of the second free edge (32) facing the diaper or substrate.

3. The fastening tape assembly (10) of claim 2 wherein the intermediate component (40) comprises a second folded edge (41) joined with the fastening component (20) and a second edge (42) opposite the second folded edge (41), the second edge (42) of the intermediate component (40) extending beyond the first hook component (50).

4. The fastener strip assembly (10) of claim 3, wherein the first hook member (50) extends beyond the first folded edge (31) of the engaging member (30).

5. The fastening tape assembly (10) of claim 3 wherein the fastening components, the intermediate component and the joining component are in the form of a Z-fold assembly by joining the second folded edge (41) of the intermediate component (40) with the fastening components and joining the first folded edge (31) of the joining component (30) with the intermediate component at the second edge (42).

6. The fastening tape assembly (10) of claim 2 wherein the first hook component (50) and the second hook component (60) each comprise a polypropylene based film layer and a plurality of mushroom-headed protrusions of circular or oval shape disposed on the polypropylene based film layer.

7. The fastening tape assembly (10) of claim 6 wherein said plurality of mushroom-head protrusions are configured to have a density of greater than or equal to 1600 per square inch on said polypropylene-based film layer.

The fastening tape assembly (10) according to any one of claims 1 to 7 wherein the fastening component (20), the intermediate component (40) and the bonding component (30) are each a single-coated tape comprising a cast polypropylene film layer and a styrene-isoprene system pressure sensitive adhesive layer coated on the cast polypropylene film layer.

9. The fastener strip assembly (10) of claim 8, wherein the width of the first hook member (50) is 5mm to 10mm in the width direction of the fastener component (20).

10. A diaper, characterized in that it comprises a fastening tape assembly (10) according to any one of claims 1-9.
