Background
In the prior art, replacement and installation work of the carbon brushes of the stator collecting rings during C-level (or D-level) maintenance of the hydroelectric generating set are important maintenance items. In the generator maintenance process, part of carbon brushes of the collector ring of the generator set are seriously worn after running, and the worn carbon brushes are not in line with the regulation requirements and need to be replaced. The new carbon brush contact surface can be installed and used after being ground. In the previous maintenance, the carbon brush is usually ground in a manual carbon brush grinding mode. However, the carbon brush is ground and replaced by a method of manually grinding the carbon brush. The method for grinding the carbon brush by hand has the following defects: 1) the polished carbon powder can not be collected intensively in a dispersed manner, and the influence on the running environment of the machine set after maintenance is achieved. 2) The hand-grinding carbon brush has the defects that the grinding of the contact surface part of the hand-grinding carbon brush and the collecting ring is uneven and has no radian, and the like, which can cause some adverse factors, so that the abrasion of the carbon brush is increased, and the normal operation of a generator is influenced. 3) The manual grinding control is not good, so that no gap or too small gap exists between the carbon brush and the brush holder, and the carbon brush can be clamped in the brush holder due to thermal expansion. 4) After the replacement, the contact surface of the new carbon brush and the collector ring needs to have a certain radian, and the contact surface of the cambered surface of the carbon brush and the slip ring after polishing needs to reach about 75 percent. However, the manual polishing sometimes fails to meet the corresponding requirements, the contact area between the carbon brush and the collector ring is insufficient, the carbon brush and the slip ring cannot be guaranteed to be always in good contact, and adverse factors such as overheating of the carbon brush due to increase of electrical loss and burning due to increase of sparks can be caused, so that the abrasion of the carbon brush is increased, and the operation of the generator is influenced.

Referring to fig. 1-3, the part names are as follows: the carbon brush grinding machine comprises a cuboid dust collecting box 1, a carbon brush placing socket 2, a flat grinding port 3, a plane module 4, an arc plane grinding module 5, a crank 6, a knob 7, a sucker type pad foot 8, a driving wheel 9, a first driven wheel 10, a second driven wheel 11, a third driven wheel 12, a guide rod bolt 13, a brush holder 14, a spring 15, a tension adjusting wheel 16 and a guide fixing block 17.

The tool shell is a cuboid dust collecting box 1 made of aluminum materials, which is not only an outer frame of the whole mechanism, but also a dust collecting box for collecting ground carbon powder. An inclined brush holder 14 is arranged at the upper right part of the dust collection box 1, is a constant pressure spring brush holder commonly used by a hydraulic generator and is used for placing a carbon brush for grinding. A plane module 4 and an arc plane grinding module 5 are arranged above the dust collecting box 1 and are used for grinding the side face and the chamfer of the carbon brush.
Behind the tool is a guide bolt 13 and knob 7 that drive the crank 6 and locking mechanism of the entire device for adjusting the tightness of the belt and removing the belt. The bottom of the dust collecting box 1 is provided with four sucker type foot pads 8 for fixing.
Referring to fig. 1, a fixed plane grinding module 4 is disposed between the driving wheel 9 and the first driven wheel 10 to grind the side surface of the carbon brush, thereby adjusting the distance between the carbon brush and the brush holder. An arc-shaped plane grinding module 5 is arranged between the first driven wheel 10 and the second driven wheel 11, and the size is designed according to the diameter of a slip ring of the generator and the width of a carbon brush. The third driven wheel 12 is an expander, the center of which is connected to the locking mechanism.
Referring to fig. 1, 2, and 3, the enclosed carbon brush grinding tool specifically operates as follows: the carbon brush to be ground is placed on a constant-pressure spring brush holder 14, a crank 6 is rotated, the abrasive belt is supported by an arc-shaped plane grinding module 5 installed on a tangent line by utilizing the tangent line distance of a first driven wheel 10 and a second driven wheel 11 (installed at an angle of alpha =35 degrees) and the arc surface of the abrasive belt on the driven wheel, so that the abrasive belt moves according to the arc of the arc-shaped plane grinding module 5, and the arc of the contact surface of the carbon brush is ground to be consistent with the arc of the slip ring. If a small gap is required between the carbon brush and the brush holder, the carbon brush can be placed on the plane grinding module 4 above the tool for grinding.
The effect shows that after the carbon brush is ground and replaced by the closed type carbon brush grinding tool, a better effect can be achieved, the radian of the contact surface of the carbon brush, the distance between the contact surface of the carbon brush and a brush holder and other aspects can meet the requirements of corresponding regulation standards, and meanwhile, the carbon brush body is not damaged.
The closed carbon brush grinding tool realizes standard and quick grinding of the carbon brush. In the practical use, the tool is small in size, convenient to carry and suitable for operation in narrow space of the unit, and the closed design of the tool is convenient for storing ground carbon powder and protects the internal operation environment of the unit. The tool is easy to machine, low in cost and simple to operate, can be converted into electric operation, and can effectively reduce labor intensity and improve working efficiency.
