Before explaining the embodiments of the present application in detail, an application scenario of the embodiments of the present application will be described.
Electric toothbrushes typically include a motor, a housing, an end cap, and the like. The shell is used for accommodating the motor, and the end cover is used for being connected with the shell. The end cap has a cap hole through which an output shaft of the motor passes. The output shaft of the motor is connected with the brush head after passing through the cover hole on the end cover. When the electric toothbrush works, the output shaft of the motor rotates rapidly and drives the brush head to vibrate or rotate rapidly, so as to achieve the purpose of cleaning teeth.
In the related art, the part of the output shaft of the motor, which extends out of the shell and the end cover, is also connected with a waterproof elastic piece. The waterproof elastic piece is used for preventing water flow on the brush head from flowing into the shell along the output shaft of the motor. However, the waterproof elastic member connected to the output shaft of the motor through the spring is easily broken, affecting the waterproof effect of the electric toothbrush.
Therefore, the embodiment of the application provides a waterproof structure of an electric toothbrush and the electric toothbrush, and the waterproof structure and the electric toothbrush are not easy to break by connecting the waterproof elastic piece and the end cover together, so that the waterproof performance of the electric toothbrush can be improved.
The waterproof structure of the electric toothbrush provided in the embodiments of the present application will be explained in detail below. In the embodiments of the present application, the connection between two devices refers to a fixed connection, i.e., the two devices are kept in a relative position by the connection. For example, the fixing connection may be by adhesive bonding, by screwing, or integrally molding.
Fig. 1 is a front view schematically illustrating a waterproof structure 10 of an electric toothbrush 01 according to an embodiment of the present invention, and fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view schematically illustrating the waterproof structure 10 according to the embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 1 and 2, the waterproof structure 10 includes an end cap 12 and an elastic member 14.
The waterproof structure 10 is used for the electric toothbrush 01. Generally, the electric toothbrush 01 includes a housing for housing the motor 220 and the motor 220. In order to distinguish from other housings of the electric toothbrush 01 described below, in the embodiments of the present application, a housing in which the electric toothbrush 01 is provided with the motor 220 is referred to as a first housing 210. The waterproof structure 10 is used in connection with the first housing 210 of the electric toothbrush 01 to prevent water from flowing into the first housing 210 along the output shaft 222 of the motor 220. The waterproof structure 10 includes an end cap 12 and an elastic member 14. The resilient member 14 is coupled to the end cap 12 such that the relative positions of the resilient member 14 and the end cap 12 remain fixed. In this case, when the end cap 12 is fixed in position, the position of the elastic member 14 is also fixed.
The end cap 12 has a first through hole 1202, and the first through hole 1202 is used for passing through the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 of the electric toothbrush 01. The elastic member 14 has a second through hole 1402, and the second through hole 1402 is also used for passing the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 of the electric toothbrush 01. When the waterproof structure 10 is connected to the first housing 210 of the electric toothbrush 01, the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 may pass through the first through hole 1202 of the end cap 12 and pass through the second through hole 1402 of the elastic member 14 to extend out of the first housing 210 and the waterproof structure 10. The aperture of the first through hole 1202 may be equal to or slightly larger than the diameter of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 to prevent the end cover 12 from influencing the rotation of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 and to function to limit the position of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220. The second through hole 1402 has a hole diameter smaller than the diameter of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220. In this case, since the elastic member 14 has elasticity, after the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 passes through the second through hole 1402, the elastic member 14 with a constant position does not affect the rotation of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220. Meanwhile, since the aperture of the second through hole 1402 is smaller than the diameter of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220, the elastic member 14 may be in interference fit with the output shaft 222 of the motor 220, thereby blocking the water flowing down along the output shaft 222 of the motor 220. The elastic member 14 of the waterproof structure 10 is connected to the end cap 12, and is not easily broken, so that the waterproof performance of the electric toothbrush 01 can be improved.
Further, the end cap 12 may be made of a hard glue material, and the elastic member 14 may be made of a soft glue material.
Specifically, the end cap 12 may be made of a hard rubber material so as to be coupled to the first housing 210, provide a fixing means for the elastic member 14, and function to define the position of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220. For example, the material of the end cap 12 may be one of polycarbonate, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, polystyrene, or acrylonitrile styrene. The elastic member 14 may be made of a soft rubber material, so as to be in interference fit with the output shaft 222 of the motor 220, thereby playing a waterproof role. For example, the material of the elastic member 14 may be silicone rubber, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene-octene copolymer, or styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer.
In the present embodiment, the elastic member 14 and the end cap 12 connected together may be integrally formed. In manufacturing the waterproof structure 10, the end cap 12 may be manufactured by injecting the hard glue into the first mold. The first mold here is the mold used to make the end cap 12. After the end cap 12 is manufactured, the end cap 12 is placed in a second mold, and soft gel is injected into the second mold, thereby forming the elastic member 14 connected to the end cap 12. The second mold is herein a mold for making the elastic member 14, and includes both a portion for making the elastic member 14 and a portion for receiving a joint where the end cap 12 and the elastic member 14 are joined. The elastic member 14 and the end cap 12 are integrally formed, so that the connection between the elastic member 14 and the end cap 12 is firmer, and the electric toothbrush 01 can be assembled more conveniently, thereby saving the assembling time of the electric toothbrush 01 and reducing the assembling cost.
Fig. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view of end cap 12 provided in an embodiment of the present application. As shown in fig. 3, end cap 12 has a first threaded bore 1222. The first screw hole 1222 is used to connect the first housing 210 of the electric toothbrush 01.
Specifically, as shown in fig. 3, the end cap 12 includes a fixing portion 122 and a first connecting portion 124. The fixing portion 122 and the first connecting portion 124 are integrally formed. The fixing portion 122 of the cap 12 is used to connect with the first housing 210 of the electric toothbrush 01. The first screw holes 1222 are located at the fixing portion 122 of the end cap 12, and when the end cap 12 is connected to the first housing 210, screws can be installed in the first screw holes 1222 to fix the end cap 12 to the first housing 210. The first connection portion 124 of the end cap 12 is used to connect the resilient member 14. When the end cap 12 includes the fixing portion 122 and the first connecting portion 124, the first through hole 1202 of the end cap 12 is located at the fixing portion 122 and the first connecting portion 124, so that the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 can penetrate through the fixing portion 122 and the first connecting portion 124 of the end cap 12 through the first through hole 1202.
Further, fig. 4 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the elastic member 14 provided in the embodiment of the present application. As shown in fig. 4, the elastic member 14 includes a waterproof portion 142 and a second connecting portion 144. The waterproof portion 142 and the second connecting portion 144 are integrally formed. Wherein the second connecting portion 144 of the elastic member 14 is used for connecting with the first connecting portion 124 of the end cap 12. As can be seen from fig. 2 to 4, the second connecting portion 144 of the elastic member 14 has an inner surface, and the inner surface of the second connecting portion 144 is used for connecting with the outer surface of the first connecting portion 124, so as to connect the elastic member 14 with the end cap 12. The second through hole 1402 of the elastic member 14 is located at the waterproof portion 142. In other words, the waterproof portion 142 is configured to be in interference fit with the output shaft 222 of the motor 220, so as to block the water flowing down along the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 and prevent the water from flowing into the first housing 210 of the electric toothbrush 01.
In the present embodiment, the waterproof structure 10 includes an end cap 12 and an elastic member 14. The end cap 12 is connected to the resilient member 14. The end cap 12 has a first through hole 1202 and the waterproof member has a second through hole 1402. The axes of the first through hole 1202 and the second through hole 1402 coincide for the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 of the electric toothbrush 01 to pass through. The first through hole 1202 has a diameter larger than the diameter of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220, and the second through hole 1402 has a diameter smaller than the diameter of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220. When the waterproof structure 10 is installed on the electric toothbrush 01, since the aperture of the second through hole 1402 of the elastic member 14 is smaller than the diameter of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220, the elastic member 14 can be in interference fit with the output shaft 222 of the motor 220, thereby blocking water flowing down along the output shaft 222 of the motor 220. Meanwhile, the elastic member 14 in the waterproof structure 10 is connected to the end cap 12, and is not easily broken, so that the waterproof performance of the electric toothbrush 01 can be improved. The elastic member 14 and the end cap 12 in the waterproof structure 10 are connected to achieve the purpose of fixing the position, and the elastic member 14 does not need to be tightly attached to the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 through a spring, so that the waterproof elastic member 14 can be prevented from being broken when the waterproof elastic member 14 is tensioned through the spring, and the waterproof performance of the electric toothbrush 01 can be improved. In the waterproof structure 10, the end cap 12 may be made of a hard glue material, so as to be connected to the first housing 210, provide a fixing means for the elastic member 14, and function to limit the position of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220. The elastic member 14 may be made of a soft rubber material, so as to be in interference fit with the output shaft 222 of the motor 220, thereby playing a waterproof role. The elastic member 14 and the end cap 12 may be integrally formed, so that the connection between the elastic member 14 and the end cap 12 is more firm, and the assembly of the electric toothbrush 01 is more convenient, thereby saving the assembly time of the electric toothbrush 01 and reducing the assembly cost.
The embodiment of the present application also provides an electric toothbrush 01, which includes a waterproof structure 10 as in any of the above embodiments.
Specifically, the waterproof structure 10 includes an end cap 12 and an elastic member 14. The end cap 12 is connected to the resilient member 14. The end cap 12 has a first through hole 1202, the elastic member 14 has a second through hole 1402, the axis of the first through hole 1202 coincides with the axis of the second through hole 1402, the first through hole 1202 and the second through hole 1402 are used for the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 of the electric toothbrush 01 to pass through, the aperture of the first through hole 1202 is larger than the diameter of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220, and the aperture of the second through hole 1402 is smaller than the diameter of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220. Meanwhile, the elastic member 14 of the waterproof structure 10 is connected to the end cap 12, so that the waterproof elastic member 14 is prevented from being broken when the waterproof elastic member 14 is tensioned by a spring, and the waterproof performance of the electric toothbrush 01 is improved.
Further, the end cap 12 and the elastic member 14 are integrally formed. The material of the end cap 12 is one of polycarbonate, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer, polystyrene, or acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer. The material of the elastic member 14 is one of silicone, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene-octene copolymer, and styrene thermoplastic elastomer.
Fig. 5 is a schematic sectional view of the first housing 210 according to the embodiment of the present application, and fig. 6 is a schematic sectional view of an electric toothbrush 01 according to the embodiment of the present application. As shown in fig. 5 and 6, the electric toothbrush 01 further includes a first housing 210 and a motor 220.
Specifically, the first housing 210 is used to provide a motor 220. The first housing 210 has a first cavity 212 and a first opening 214 for exposing the first cavity 212. The motor 220 is located within the first cavity 212. A battery, a controller connected between the battery and the motor 220, and the like may also be disposed in the first cavity 212. The waterproof structure 10 is connected to one end of the first housing 210 having the first opening 214. As will be understood in conjunction with the above embodiments, the waterproof structure 10 includes the elastic member 14 and the end cap 12. After the waterproof structure 10 is connected to the first housing 210, the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 penetrates through the first through hole 1202 and the second through hole 1402 of the waterproof structure 10, so that the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 extends out of the first housing 210 and the waterproof structure 10 from the first through hole 1202 and the second through hole 1402. The aperture of the second through hole 1402 is smaller than the diameter of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220, so that the elastic element 14 is in interference fit with the output shaft 222 of the motor 220, and since the elastic element 14 has elasticity, after the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 passes through the second through hole 1402, the elastic element 14 with a constant position does not affect the rotation of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220. Generally, a brush head may be connected to an end of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 extending out of the first housing 210. In this case, when the water dropping from the brush head flows along the output shaft 222 of the motor 220, the water is stopped by the elastic member 14 which is in interference fit with the output shaft 222 of the motor 220, so that the water is prevented from flowing into the first housing 210.

Fig. 9 shows a schematic sectional view of the electric toothbrush 01 when the second housing 240 is coupled with the elastic member 14. At this time, a brush head (not shown) located at an end of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 away from the first housing 210 is located in a sealed space formed by the second housing 240 and the elastic member 14, so that dust can be prevented from being attached to the brush head. Meanwhile, after the second housing 240 is connected with the elastic member 14, water outside the electric toothbrush 01 can be prevented from entering the first housing 210 and the second housing 240, thereby achieving a dual waterproof effect.
In the embodiment of the present application, the electric toothbrush 01 includes the waterproof structure 10, and when the waterproof structure 10 is installed in the electric toothbrush 01, since the second through hole 1402 of the elastic member 14 has a smaller diameter than the output shaft 222 of the motor 220, the elastic member 14 can be in interference fit with the output shaft 222 of the motor 220, thereby blocking water flowing down along the output shaft 222 of the motor 220. The elastic member 14 of the waterproof structure 10 is connected to the end cap 12 to fix the position, and is not easily broken, so that the waterproof performance of the electric toothbrush 01 can be improved. The second housing 240 may be rotatably coupled to the elastic member 14 when the electric toothbrush 01 is not in use. At this time, the brush head located at the end of the output shaft 222 of the motor 220 far away from the first housing 210 is located in the sealed space formed by the second housing 240 and the elastic member 14, so that dust can be prevented from being attached to the brush head. Meanwhile, after the second housing 240 is connected with the elastic member 14, water outside the electric toothbrush 01 can be prevented from entering the first housing 210 and the second housing 240, thereby achieving a dual waterproof effect.
The above-mentioned embodiments are only used for illustrating the technical solutions of the present application, and not for limiting the same; although the present application has been described in detail with reference to the foregoing embodiments, it should be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that: the technical solutions described in the foregoing embodiments may still be modified, or some technical features may be equivalently replaced; such modifications and substitutions do not substantially depart from the spirit and scope of the embodiments of the present application and are intended to be included within the scope of the present application.
