The vehicle 2 shown in fig. 1 is a motor vehicle. The vehicle 2 includes a body 4 defining a vehicle cab 6 and an access opening 8 that provides access to the vehicle interior 6.
The vehicle 2 includes an access door 10 (hereinafter "door") mounted on the vehicle body 4 and movable between an open position (fig. 1) that allows an occupant to access the vehicle interior 6 through the access opening 8 and a closed position (not shown).
The vehicle 2 includes a vehicle interior component 12 that includes an instrument panel 14 and a door panel 16.
The instrument panel 14 is fixed to the vehicle body 4 of the vehicle cab interior 6 and extends in the lateral direction of the vehicle 2. As shown in fig. 1, the dashboard 14 may optionally be provided with an exhaust fan 15 and/or a dashboard 18.
When the door 10 is closed, a door panel 16 is mounted on an interior surface of the door 10 that faces the vehicle interior 6. As shown in fig. 1, the door panel 16 optionally includes a door armrest 20, which may optionally be provided with a handle and/or door opening controls 22 for opening the door 10.
When the door 10 supporting the door panel 16 is closed, the instrument panel 14 and the door panel 16 include respective adjustment surfaces 24, 26 that oppose each other. When the door 10 supporting the door panel 16 is opened, the adjustment surfaces 24, 26 are spaced apart from each other (FIG. 1).
As is known, when the door 10 supporting the door panel 16 is closed, a gap is formed between the adjustment surfaces 24, 26. The dimension of this gap in the transverse direction of the vehicle 2 is usually very small to improve the perceived quality. The dimension of this gap in the transverse direction of the vehicle 2 is typically less than 10mm, in particular less than 5 mm.
The vehicle interior trim component 12 includes at least one lighting device 30 having at least one light outlet 32, 34 located on an adjustment surface 24, 26 of one of the instrument panel 14 or the door panel 16, or on an edge of an adjustment surface 24, 26 of one of the instrument panel 14 or the door panel 16.
Each light outlet 32, 34 is preferably arranged on an adjustment surface 24, 26 or on an edge of an adjustment surface 24, 26, so that when the vehicle door 10 is closed, the gap formed between the respective two adjustment surfaces 24, 26 and/or the door armrest 20 is illuminated, and when the vehicle door 10 is open (fig. 1), the floor 36 of the vehicle interior 6 or the floor 38 on which the vehicle 2 is parked is illuminated.
As shown in fig. 1, in one example, the vehicle interior assembly 12 includes an illumination device 30 having a light outlet 32 configured to illuminate the gap when the door 10 is closed. The light outlet 32 is oriented to emit a light beam toward the gap when the door 10 is closed.
The light outlet 32 in this example is located on the edge of the adjustment surface 24 of the instrument panel 14, i.e. at the periphery of the adjustment surface 24. Alternatively, the light exit 32 is located on the adjustment surface 24.
Alternatively or optionally, the lighting device 30 has a light outlet 34 which is arranged to illuminate a floor 36 of the vehicle cab 6 or a ground 38 on which the vehicle 2 is parked.
The light outlet 34 in this example is arranged to illuminate both the floor 36 and the ground 38. The light outlet 34 is configured to produce a beam of light 40 that shines downward, with a portion of the beam of light 40 being directed to shine toward the floor 36 and another portion of the beam of light 40 being directed to shine toward the ground 38.
Alternatively, the light outlet 34 is arranged to illuminate only the floor 36 or only the floor 38. The light beam 40 is directed to illuminate only the floor 36 or only the ground 38.
Preferably, the light outlet 34 is configured to illuminate the door armrest 20 and/or the floor 36 when the vehicle door 10 is closed.
As shown in fig. 2 and 3, the illumination device 30 comprises, for example, a light source 42 for generating light and a light guide 44 for guiding the light generated by the light source 42 towards the at least one light outlet 32, 34 of the illumination device 30.
The light source 42 may be any type of light source, such as a light source including at least one Light Emitting Diode (LED).
For example, the light source 42 is remote from each light outlet 32, 34 of the lighting device 30, and the light guide 44 is configured to guide light emitted by the light source 42 towards each light outlet 32, 34 of the lighting device 30.
The light guide 44 is, for example, elongate and includes a first end 46 and a second end 48.
The first end 46 is positioned to receive light generated by the light source 42, for example. Thus, light generated by the light source 42 enters from the first end 46 of the light guide 44.
As shown in fig. 2, in one example, the second end 48 of the light guide 44 is configured to cause light to exit the light guide 44, thereby providing light to the light exit of the lighting device 30, in this case the light exit 34.
Further, the light guide 44 has, for example, at least one prism 48 disposed between the first end 46 and the second end 48 of the light guide 44 to direct light out of the light guide 44 to provide light to the light outlet of the illumination device 30, in this case the light outlet 32.
As shown in fig. 3, each prism 48 is constituted by a groove 50 formed on the outer surface of light guide 44, the surface of groove 50 being oriented so as to deflect light guided into light guide 44 toward the outside of light guide 44.
The light guide 44 has, for example, a plurality of prisms 48 distributed along the light guide 44 and arranged to provide light to the same light outlet of the lighting device, in this case the light outlet 32. The amount of light deflected toward the light exit 32 can be controlled by the distribution and number of prisms 48 along the light guide 44.
At least one light outlet 32, 34 of the lighting device 30 is formed, for example, by an opening 52, 54 defined in the adjusting surface 24, 26 or an edge thereof. In this example, the light guide 44 is configured to guide light rays toward each opening 52, 54.
Optionally, at least one or each opening 52, 54 is provided with a light diffuser 56, 58. The light diffusers 56, 58 can emit light in a more diffuse manner, which is more comfortable for the occupant.
As shown in fig. 2, each light outlet 32, 34 is formed by a respective opening 52, 54 at the edge of the adjusting surface 24, 26, wherein each opening 52, 54 is provided with a respective light diffuser 56, 58.
Advantageously, the lighting device 30 comprises an electronic control unit 60 configured for controlling the lighting device 30 so as to vary at least one light parameter generated by the lighting device 30 as a function of at least one usage parameter.
For this purpose, the electronic control unit 60 is connected to a detector 62, for example, which provides the usage parameters.
In one example, the usage parameter considered is the closing/opening of the vehicle door 10. The electronic control unit 60 is therefore configured for controlling the lighting device 30 so as to vary at least one light parameter generated by the lighting device 30 as a function of the closing/opening of the vehicle door 10.
The lighting parameters that may be varied depending on one or more usage parameters include, for example, light intensity and/or color of light. By varying the intensity and/or color of the light, the illumination may be increased when, for example, the door 10 is open to further illuminate the floor 36 and/or ground 38, and decreased when the door 10 is closed to dim the illumination.
In a specific example, the electronic control unit 60 is configured to control the lighting device 30 so as to change the light intensity according to the closing/opening of the vehicle door 10. Thus, the detector 62 is configured to detect the closing/opening of the vehicle door 10.
In one example, the instrument panel 14 includes: a body 64 configured to extend transversely into the vehicle 2, and a tip 66 secured to the body 60 at an end 68 of the body 64 that is adjacent the door 10 when the door 10 is closed. The body 60 is open, for example, at the end 68, and the tip 66 is configured to close the end 64.
The adjustment surface 24 of the instrument panel 14 is located on the head 66.
The adjustment surface 24 is an outer surface of the head 66, i.e., the head 66 surface faces outward of the vehicle 2.
As shown in fig. 2, when the lighting device 30 includes a light guide 44, the light guide 44 extends along, for example, a tip 66 edge 68, wherein the edge defines an edge of the adjustment surface 24. In this example, the light outlets 32, 34 are arranged on this edge.
As shown in fig. 1 and 2, the vehicle interior assembly 12 includes a lighting device 30 having light outlets 32, 34 disposed on an edge of the adjustment surface 24 and/or the adjustment surface of the instrument panel 14.
As shown in fig. 4, in one example, the vehicle interior trim component 12 includes an illumination device 30 having at least one light outlet 32, 34 disposed on the adjustment surface 26 of the door panel 16 and/or an edge of the adjustment surface 26.
The lighting device 30 provided on the door panel 10 is preferably arranged to illuminate the gap formed between the respective two adjustment surfaces 24, 26 and/or the door armrest 20 when the door 10 is closed, and to illuminate the floor 36 or the ground 38 when the door 10 is open.
The examples and modifications described in fig. 1 to 3 with respect to the lighting device 30 also apply to the lighting device 30 in fig. 4. Thus, the lighting device 30 in fig. 4 may comprise, inter alia, a light source and a light guide, at least one diffuser and/or at least one light parameter configured to vary depending on at least one usage parameter.
Additionally, in one example, the vehicle interior component 12 includes an illumination device 30 disposed on the instrument panel 14 and an illumination device disposed on the door panel 16.
In the particular example, one of the lighting devices 30 has a light outlet 32 for illuminating the gap, and the other lighting device 30 has a light outlet 34 for illuminating the floor 36 and/or the ground 38, particularly when the door 10 is open.
With the present invention, the vehicle interior assembly 12 is able to improve the perceived quality of the vehicle by providing ambient lighting and/or functional lighting in non-designated areas, such as illuminating the floor 36 or the ground 38, due to the good intimate integration of each lighting device 30 in the vehicle interior assembly 12, because the light outlets 32, 34 are located in an area that is not actually visible or is completely visible when the door 10 is closed.
In addition, illumination of the floor 36 and/or the ground 38 from the instrument panel 14 may illuminate a defined area, particularly the threshold of the access opening 8 into the vehicle 2. The lighting device 30 is fixed with respect to the vehicle body 4 and always illuminates the same area. In contrast, if the lighting device 30 is mounted on the door panel 16, when the door 10 is opened, the illuminated area also moves with the door, and the position of the illuminated area depends on the magnitude of opening of the door 10.
