The vehicle speed can be acquired by the radar detection unit 101, and the vehicle image can be acquired by the image acquisition unit 102. Wherein the processing unit 103 detects the queuing length of the vehicle in the vehicle image through the video detection function. Compared with the infrared correlation sensor in the related art, the present implementation may also obtain more traffic information by using the radar detection function and the video detection function of the traffic detection device 100 in cooperation, for example, obtain traffic information of each lane, including one or more of average speed of traffic, vehicle type, vehicle occupancy in the lane, average headway, average queue length, and lane status. In some embodiments, the traffic flow information of each lane in each time period may also be obtained, which is not described herein again. Through the traffic flow control equipment of parking area access & exit of this embodiment, traffic flow information has been richened, has promoted the validity of equipment to traffic flow control.
In some of these embodiments, the traffic flow detection device 100 supports the collection of vehicle data for at least one direction and at least one lane in the doorway of a parking lot.

In some embodiments, the farthest vehicle detection distance detected by the traffic flow detection device 100 may be 250 meters, and statistics of the indicators of the average speed of traffic flow, the type of vehicle, the occupancy of vehicle in the lane, the average headway, the average queuing length, the lane status, and the like are supported by lanes and time periods. The detection range and the detection dimension of the traffic flow detection device 100 are wider than those of an infrared correlation sensor, so that the control range of the traffic flow control equipment at the entrance and exit of the parking lot is wide, the control force is accurate, and the control effect is better.
In some embodiments, the Vehicle flow detection device 100 supports detection of common Vehicle types, including but not limited to buses, center buses, vans, center trucks, sedans, vans, minivans, vans, convertibles, bikes, SUVs (Sport/Sport Utility vehicles), MPVs (Multi-Purpose vehicles), buses, pick-up trucks, and minibuses.
