Detailed Description
The following detailed description refers to the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification. The exemplary embodiments mentioned in the description and the drawings are only for illustrative purposes and are not intended to limit the scope of the present application. Those skilled in the art, having benefit of this disclosure, will appreciate that many other embodiments can be devised which do not depart from the spirit and scope of the present application. It should be understood that the aspects of the present application, as described and illustrated herein, may be arranged, substituted, combined, separated, and designed in a wide variety of different configurations, all of which are within the scope of the present application.
Referring to fig. 1, a lip stop 100 in one embodiment of the present application is schematically illustrated. Referring again to fig. 2, there is shown an assembled view of the lip stop 100 of fig. 1.
The lip stop device 100 comprises a lip stop module 101 and a force application device 103. The lip blocking module 101 is in an arc shape, a section of the tail end of each of the two ends of the lip blocking module is a straight rod 1011, and a section of at least one of the two straight rods 1011 near the middle of the lip blocking module 101 is provided with a mark 1013 for indicating a force value. Two sides of the middle part of the lip blocking module 101 are respectively provided with a lip blocking block 1015 for abutting against the inner side of the lip. The lip blocks 1015 on the two sides are transited by an arched rod 1017, and the arched structure of the arched rod 1017 can avoid frenulum.
In one embodiment, the arch of the lip block module 101 may approximate the shape of the periphery of the patient's dental arch.
In one embodiment, the lip block 101 may be integrally formed, and the lip block 101 may be made of a metal material or a resin material.
In another embodiment, the arched skeleton of the lip stop module 101 may be made of a metal material, for example, a steel wire may be bent to form an integrally arched skeleton including a straight rod 1011 and an arched rod 1017, and then the lip stop 1015 made of a resin or the like may be fixed to a corresponding portion of the arched skeleton by means of a snap or the like, so as to form the lip stop module 101.
The force applying device 103 includes an outer sleeve 1031 and an inner sleeve 1033, the outer sleeve 1031 is sleeved outside the inner sleeve 1033, and in one embodiment, the two are in threaded fit with each other, and the total length of the two can be adjusted by relative rotation.
A hook 1035 is fixedly provided on the lingual side near the end of the outer tube 1031 for hanging one ring of the two ring-twisted figure-8 connector 1037, and the other ring of the figure-8 connector is hung on a tongue button (not shown) provided on the labial side of the posterior dental area, wherein the end of the hook 1035 is formed with an expanded portion having a size larger than that of the main body portion thereof to prevent the figure-8 connector from being detached.
Referring to fig. 3, schematically illustrating the inner sleeve 1033 shown in fig. 1 and fig. 2, wherein an outer side of one end of the inner sleeve 1033 near the outer sleeve 1031 is provided with a thread 1039, which is matched with a thread (not shown) on an inner side of the outer sleeve 1031, so that on one hand, the relative position of the outer sleeve 1031 and the inner sleeve 1033 in the axial direction can be maintained, and on the other hand, the total length of the two can be adjusted, thereby playing a role in adjusting the elasticity. The outer side of the inner sleeve 1033 is also provided with a mark 1041 indicating the total length of the outer sleeve 1031 and the inner sleeve 1033.
Referring to fig. 3A, a cross-sectional view of the inner sleeve 1033 at a-a of fig. 3 is shown, wherein the inner sleeve 1033 is provided with a spring 1043 therein, which is compressed to generate a rebound force. The straight rod 1011 of the lip stop module 101 is inserted into the inner sleeve 1033, and when the lip stop module 101 is pushed toward the outer sleeve 1031, the straight rod 1011 moves toward the outer sleeve 1031, so as to compress the spring 1043, and at this time, the compressed spring 1043 generates an elastic force with equal magnitude and opposite direction, and pushes the lip stop module 101 toward the direction opposite to the outer sleeve 1031.
Assuming that the lip stop device 100 is worn in the mouth of a patient with the total length thereof unchanged (e.g., the end of the outer tube 1031 is fixed to the posterior dental region and the lip stop 1015 abuts against the inner side of the lip), if the total length of the outer tube 1031 and the inner tube 1033 is adjusted to be longer, the straight rod 1011 will be pushed into the inner tube 1033 for a longer distance to keep the total length of the lip stop device 100 unchanged, at this time, the spring 1043 is further compressed, and the generated repulsive force is correspondingly increased, whereas if the total length of the outer tube 1031 and the inner tube 1033 is adjusted to be shorter, the generated repulsive force of the spring 1043 is correspondingly decreased, and the acting force generated by the lip stop device 100 can be adjusted in this way.
In one embodiment, the force value indicia on the straight rod 1011 are coincident with the length indicia 1041 on the inner sleeve 1033, e.g., the spacing of the graduations is coincident, for ease of adjustment.
In one embodiment, the structure of the straight rods 1011 and the inner sleeve 1033 enables the straight rods 1011 to be inserted into and pulled out of the inner sleeve 1033. This configuration allows for easier installation of the lip stop 100 within the mouth due to the limited space within the mouth. In one embodiment, the combination of the outer tube 1031 and the inner tube 1033 may be fixed to the labial side of the posterior dental area first, and then the straight rod 1011 of the lip stop module 101 is inserted into the inner tube 1033 to complete the installation.
In one aspect, the lip stop device 100 of the present application can be used to train orofacial muscles; on the other hand, it can also be used to push the molar teeth backwards.
In one embodiment, the outer sleeve 1031 of the labial shield 100 may be mounted directly to the buccal side of the posterior teeth. In yet another embodiment, the outer sleeve 1031 of the labial shield 100 may also be installed on the buccal side of the posterior dental area of a shell-like dental instrument. Shell-like dental appliances are integral shell-like and form a cavity for receiving a tooth, the geometry of the cavity substantially conforming to the patient's tooth.
It will be appreciated in light of the present disclosure that in addition to the spring force generated by the compression spring, the spring force may be generated by compressing other substances, such as a gas, for example, the inner sleeve 1033 may be a cylinder.
While various aspects and embodiments of the disclosure are disclosed herein, other aspects and embodiments of the disclosure will be apparent to those skilled in the art from consideration of the specification. The various aspects and embodiments disclosed herein are for purposes of illustration only and are not intended to be limiting. The scope and spirit of the application are to be determined only by the claims appended hereto.
Likewise, the various diagrams may illustrate an exemplary architecture or other configuration of the disclosed methods and systems that is useful for understanding the features and functionality that may be included in the disclosed methods and systems. The claimed subject matter is not limited to the exemplary architectures or configurations shown, but rather, the desired features can be implemented using a variety of alternative architectures and configurations. In addition, to the extent that flow diagrams, functional descriptions, and method claims do not follow, the order in which the blocks are presented should not be limited to the various embodiments which perform the recited functions in the same order, unless the context clearly dictates otherwise.
