In addition to the drive wheel 12, the chain saw is equipped with a spacer plate 16, a screw connection 18 and a fastening element 22. In the mounted state, the drive shaft passes through the screw connection 18, the spacer disk 16 and the drive wheel 12. The fixing element 22 can be fixed near the open end of the drive shaft. In this example, a locking piece is provided as the fixing member 22.
Fig. 5 shows a schematic perspective exploded view of the drive wheel 12 and other elements for a chain saw according to a second example of the prior art. A locking ring is used as the fixing element 22. Fig. 6 shows the drive wheel 12, the drive shaft 14 and the side disk 26 according to a second example of the prior art in the mounted state, wherein the drive wheel 12 and the side disk 26 are fastened to the drive shaft 14 by means of a locking ring.
The driving wheel 12 and its fixed structure according to the prior art are suitable for a maximum power of about 1500W and cause premature wear of the motor shaft. In case of loss of the motor shaft, the entire motor needs to be replaced, which results in high costs. Too large a gap between the drive wheel for the saw chain and the motor shaft also leads to rapid wear of the motor shaft.

a motor for driving the drive shaft, wherein,
a fixing element for fixing the drive wheel to the drive shaft, and
at least one disk spring arranged between the drive wheel and the stationary element.
The chain saw according to the invention with a structure for the specific fastening of the drive wheel by means of the disk spring and the fastening element enables a greater motor output, a greater torque and a greater rotational speed. Furthermore, the service life of the motor shaft is extended. The clearance between the drive wheel and the motor shaft is reduced by the belleville spring.
The fixing element is preferably fixed or fixable at the open end of the drive shaft.
For example, screws are provided as fixing elements.
The screw extends in particular in the fixed state coaxially to the drive shaft. For this purpose, the screw preferably has an external thread and the drive shaft has a corresponding internal thread.
At least one washer can optionally be arranged between the disk spring and the fastening element.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a schematic perspective exploded view of the drive wheel 12 and other elements for the chain saw 10, according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
In addition to the drive wheel 12, the chainsaw 10 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention is equipped with a spacer 16, a screw connection 18, a belleville spring 20, a fixing element 22 and a washer 24. In the installed state, the drive shaft 14 passes through the screw connection 18, the spacer disk 16, the drive wheel 12 and the disk spring 20. The fixing element 22 can be fixed at the open end of the drive shaft 14. Preferably, at least one washer 24 is located between the belleville spring 20 and the retaining element 22. In this example, a screw is provided as the fixing member 22.
Fig. 2 shows a schematic perspective exploded view of the drive wheel 12 and other elements for the chain saw 10 and the drive shaft 14, according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
In the installed state, the drive shaft 14 passes through the screw connection 18, the intermediate disk 16, the drive wheel 12 and the disk spring 20, while the fastening element 22 can be fastened at the open end of the drive shaft 14. In a preferred embodiment, the drive shaft 14 and the motor shaft are constructed as a single component. Alternatively, the drive shaft 14 and the motor shaft can also be constructed as separate components. Preferably, at least one washer 24 is located between the belleville spring 20 and the retaining element 22. In this particular example a screw is provided as the fixing element 22.
The belleville springs 20 minimize the clearance between the drive wheel 12 and the drive shaft 14. This reduces the losses of the motor shaft in particular. In addition, greater motor power, greater torque and greater rotational speed are thereby achieved.
Fig. 3 shows a schematic perspective view of a chainsaw 10 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
The chainsaw 10 has a drive wheel 12, a belleville spring 20, and a stationary element 22. The chainsaw 10 also has a saw chain and a guide rail for the saw chain, which are not shown in fig. 3 for clarity.
The motor and drive shaft 14 are located inside the chainsaw 10. The drive wheel 12, the disk spring 20 and the fixing element 22 are fixed at the outer end of the drive shaft 14. The motor is arranged to drive the drive shaft 14 and the drive wheel 12. The drive wheel 12 is in turn arranged for driving a saw chain.
The drive wheel 12, the disk spring 20 and the fastening element 22 are accessible from the outside, so that the fastening element 22 and the disk spring 20 and the drive wheel 12 can be removed and, if necessary, replaced in a simple manner.
The belleville springs 20 between the drive wheel 12 and the stationary element 22 minimize play between the drive wheel 12 and the drive shaft 14 or motor shaft. In this way, the losses of the motor shaft and the motor are reduced. In addition, the disk spring 20 achieves greater motor power, greater torque and greater rotational speed. For example, a motor power of 1800W and a speed of 13000RPM can be achieved.
In addition, the Belleville spring 20 reduces the noise impact of the chain saw 10. Finally, in the case of a conventional chain saw, the disk spring 20 can also be provided with a screw as the fastening element 22.
Fig. 4 shows a schematic perspective exploded view of the drive wheel 12 and other elements for the chainsaw 10, according to a first example of the prior art. In addition to the drive wheel 12, the chain saw is equipped with a spacer plate 16, a screw connection 18 and a fastening element 22. In the installed state, the drive shaft 14 passes through the screw connection 18, the spacer disk 16 and the drive wheel 12. The fixing element 22 can be fixed at the open end of the drive shaft 14. In this example, a locking plate is provided as the fixing element 22.
Fig. 5 shows a schematic perspective exploded view of the drive wheel 12 and other elements for the chainsaw 10 according to a second example of the prior art. In this example, the drive shaft 14 passes through the drive wheel 12 and the side disc 26. A locking ring is used as the fixing element 22.
Fig. 6 shows a schematic side view of the drive wheel 12 and other elements for the chainsaw 10 according to a second example of the prior art. Fig. 6 shows the drive wheel 12, the drive shaft 14 and the side disk 26 in the mounted state, wherein the drive wheel 12 and the side disk 26 are fastened to the drive shaft 14 by means of a locking ring.
The driving wheel 12 and its fixed structure according to the prior art are suitable for a maximum power of about 1500W and cause premature wear of the motor shaft. This results in high costs since the motor needs to be replaced in case of loss of the motor shaft.
