Detailed Description
The catheter of this embodiment can be a single lumen catheter, a dual lumen catheter, and a three lumen catheter. Three-lumen catheters are described below as examples, and it should be further noted that three-lumen catheters are merely exemplary, and those skilled in the art can realize the configuration of the embodiment on single-lumen catheters as well as dual-lumen catheters according to the related description.
Fig. 1 is a schematic view of a urinary catheter having a connection interface 150 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The urinary catheter comprises: a tube body 10 for forming a branch at a tail end placed outside a patient. For example, the tail end of a three-cavity catheter is provided with three branch tubes. Namely, the capsule injection cavity, the medicine injection cavity and the liquid discharge cavity form branch pipes at the tail end of the catheter respectively. The three branch pipes are respectively a capsule filling branch pipe 120 connected with the capsule injection cavity, a medicine injection branch pipe 140 connected with the medicine injection cavity and a liquid discharge branch pipe 130 connected with the liquid discharge cavity. The capsule filling manifold 120 has a capsule injection port at the end, the drug injection manifold 140 has a drug injection port at the end, and the fluid discharge manifold 130 has a fluid discharge port at the end.
The head end of the tube body 10 is generally a tapered tip 11 for insertion into a patient. In use, the tapered tip 11 is inserted into the bladder via the urethra and the balloon injection lumen is filled with a liquid or gas through the balloon filling manifold 120 to form a balloon to fixedly retain the tapered tip 11 within the bladder. The drug injection branch tube 140 is used to supply external drug solution to the bladder. The drainage manifold 130 is used to drain the liquid medicine and urine in the bladder.
Fig. 2 is a schematic view at a branch in a urinary catheter having a connection interface 150 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The catheter further comprises a connection interface 150, the connection interface 150 being arranged at the mouth of the branch tube for providing an interface to an external part. In a three-lumen catheter, the connection interface 150 may be provided at the drug-infusion manifold 140. In addition, the drain branch 130 may be provided with a connection port 150. The connecting pipe interfaces 150 and the corresponding branch pipes may be integrally formed or may be fixedly connected.
The end of the pipe connection interface 150 is formed with a connection section 151, and the connection section 151 is used to mate with an external member to which the branch pipe is connected. In some embodiments, the inner diameter of the connecting section 151 tapers from the end to the interior of the branch pipe to match the outer diameter of the pipe connection member that the pipe connection interface 150 is to receive. That is, the inner diameter of the connecting section 151 is formed in a tapered cylindrical shape to be fitted with the tapered structure of the coupling part so that the coupling part is directly inserted.
In other embodiments, the connection segment 151 may be formed with internal threads to mate with external threads provided on a coupling member that the coupling interface 150 receives. That is, the connection segment 151 is engaged with the coupling part by a screw structure.
The interior of the branch pipe is provided with an elastic valve 152 at a position of the connecting section 151 far away from the end of the pipe orifice, and the elastic valve 152 enables the branch pipe to be communicated with the outside when being expanded. The elastic valve 152 is made of silicon rubber or rubber, and a slit having a straight shape or a cross shape may be formed at the center of the elastic valve 152. The elastic valve 152 opens to allow the branch pipes to communicate with the outside. The elastic valve 152 may be used to block a portion of foreign objects from entering the branch pipe when no external component is connected to the pipe joint 150. The elastomeric valve 152 may improve the seal of the catheter to the outer member when the outer member is connected to the tube interface 150.
The catheter connector 150 of this embodiment can be used to mate with a variety of connector components. Fig. 3 is a schematic view of a catheter having a connector interface 150 mated with a plug member 160, according to an embodiment of the invention. The first end of the plug member 160 is formed with an adapter 161 that mates with the inner diameter of the connecting section 151 for plugging the connecting interface 150. The second end of the plug member 160 is provided with a hand grip 162.
In some use scenarios, some branch pipes require plugging operations. Such as after flushing, the drug injection manifold 140 so that it needs to be plugged. However, in the prior art, a medicine injection port does not have a special blocking part, and is generally blocked by an infusion connector, so that the blocking operation is relatively complex, and the workload of medical staff and the infection risk of patients are increased. The connection interface 150 of the catheter of this embodiment can be mated with the plug member 160 to achieve reliable plugging of the straight tube.
The plug member 160 is detachably connected to the connection segment 151, so that the branch pipes can be securely closed. The adapter portion 161 of the plug member 160 may be configured as external threads that mate with internal threads in the inner diameter of the connecting section 151. Or the adapter portion 161 of the plug member 160 may also be tapered to form a tapered plug that mates with the inner diameter of the connecting section 151.
To facilitate operation, the second end of the plug member 160 is provided with a handle portion 162. In operation, an operator may grip the handle portion 162 and screw or plug the plug member 160 into the connection interface 150.
In some embodiments, the length of the adapter 161 of the plug member 160 is equal to or less than the length of the connection segment 151, so that the plug member 160 has a clearance between its end and the resilient valve 152 when it blocks the connection interface 150. That is, the plug member 160 may be disposed so as not to contact the elastic valve 152. So that the coupling interface 150 can be reused to access other coupling components after the plug member 160 is removed.
Fig. 4 is a schematic view of a urinary catheter having a connection interface 150 mated with a connection member 170, according to an embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 5 is a schematic view of a connector 170 in a urinary catheter having a connector interface 150 according to an embodiment of the present invention.
The connecting member 170 may be formed with a tube insertion section 171 at both ends thereof, wherein the tube insertion section 171 at one end is disposed to be fitted to the inner diameter of the connecting section 151. The cannula section 171 at the other end of the connector member 170 may be used to connect other tubes, such as an infusion tube or a drainage tube. When the catheter is mated with the connector 170, the cannula section 171 of the connector 170 opens the elastomeric valve 152, thereby placing the branch tubes in communication with the lumen of the connector 170.
The middle of the connecting pipe member 170 may also be provided with a central section. The central section may be a central transparent section 172. The central transparent section 172 is disposed between the cannula sections 171 and is made of a transparent material for observing the liquid flowing through the connecting tube 170.
By matching the connecting pipe piece 170 with the connecting pipe interface 150, the catheter can be conveniently matched with other pipes, and the use of the catheter is convenient.
