Referring to fig. 1 and 2, the wall-mounted indoor unit 100 of an air conditioner may include a cabinet 110, a flow promoting device, an indoor heat exchanger 140, a fresh air device, and a driving motor 130.
The cabinet 110 may be formed with an intake port 115 and an exhaust port (not shown). In the illustrated embodiment, the air inlet 115 may be formed at the top of the casing 110, and the air outlet may be formed at the bottom of the casing 110. In other embodiments, the intake vents 115 may be formed at both lateral ends of the cabinet 110, and the exhaust vents may be formed at a front wall of the cabinet 110.
The flow promoting device may include a flow promoting fan 120 disposed in the casing 110 for promoting the air around the air inlet 115 to flow toward the air outlet, thereby promoting the air circulation of the indoor environment.

In some embodiments, the fresh air device may further include a volute disposed within the housing 110 to define a flow path of the outdoor air. Wherein the airflow inlet of the volute may be open in the direction of the rotation axis of the fresh air fan 150. The airflow outlet of the volute may open in a direction perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the fresh air fan 150.
In some further embodiments, the airflow outlet of the volute may be configured to flow outdoor air around the intake vent 115 to exchange heat between the outdoor air and the indoor heat exchanger 140 to avoid over-cooling and over-heating the airflow. In the illustrated embodiment, the top of the casing 110 may be correspondingly opened with a fresh air outlet 116 to allow the outdoor air to flow out.
In some further embodiments, the outer race of the bearing 180 may be configured to be fixedly connected with the volute to further reduce the footprint.
Specifically, the volute may be provided with an annular projection 162 extending in a direction proximate the flow promoting fan 120. The bearing 180 may be disposed in the annular protrusion 162, and an outer ring thereof may be disposed to be fixedly connected with an inner wall of the annular protrusion 162, so as to reduce wind resistance of the fresh air fan 150 and facilitate assembly.
The bottom wall of the annular protrusion 162 may be formed with a through hole, so that the rotating shaft 122 passes through the volute and is fixedly connected to the fresh air fan 150.
In some further embodiments, the opening direction of the airflow inlet of the volute may face away from the flow promoting fan 120, so as to facilitate the connection of the flow promoting fan 120 and the fresh air fan 150, and further reduce the occupied space of the fresh air device.
The fresh air device may also include a fresh air cover 172 and a fresh air duct 170. The fresh air cover 172 may be disposed on a side of the volute away from the flow promoting fan 120, and forms an outdoor air inlet chamber with the volute.
The fresh air duct 170 may be disposed at least partially below the fresh air cover 172 and the volute, and communicate the outdoor environment with the intake plenum. That is, the fresh air duct 170 may be at least partially covered by the projection of the fresh air cover plate 172 and the volute in a horizontal plane to make the structure more compact.
Referring to fig. 2, in some embodiments, the volute may be formed by the two half- shells 160a, 160b being split along an imaginary plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the shaft 122 to facilitate the assembly operation.
In some embodiments, the airflow inlet and the airflow outlet of the volute may be provided with a dust filter 174 and a high efficiency air filter 176, respectively, for filtering dust and fine particles in the outdoor air, respectively.
