The radio frequency power amplifier can be applied to electronic equipment with radio frequency signal transmission, such as mobile phones, tablets, computers and the like.
First, briefly describing the phase2 scheme, fig. 1 shows a 4G mobile phone RF circuit of the conventional phase2 scheme, and as shown in fig. 1, a radio frequency Transceiver (RF Transceiver) is mainly used for modulation and conditioning of RF signals, and illustratively, has 5 RF TX ports and 14 RF RX ports. The 5 RF TX ports can be divided into 2 low frequencies (LB), 2 intermediate frequencies (MB) and 1 high frequency (HB) according to different frequency bands, wherein one port of each of the two low frequencies and the two intermediate frequencies is allocated to GSM 2G system, the remaining three ports of low, medium and high frequencies are allocated to CDMA2000/TDSCDMA/TDD-LTE/FDD-LTE 3G/4G system, and the 14 RF RX ports are respectively used for receiving signals transmitted from the antenna end according to different frequencies of the low, medium and high frequency bands of the mobile phone.
The multi-mode multi-power amplifier (3G/4G MMMB PA) is mainly used for amplifying 3G/4G rf signals, and fig. 2 is a port schematic diagram of a conventional multi-mode multi-power amplifier, as shown in fig. 2, and includes 5 TX low frequency (LB) ports, 5 TX intermediate frequency (MB) ports, 4 TX high frequency (HB) ports, and two high frequency RX ports.
With continued reference to fig. 1, the radio frequency front end module (TRX-FEM) is mainly used for amplifying 2G GSM signals and port transmission and switching of 3G and 4G radio frequency bands. Based on the above phase2 scheme, fig. 4 is a schematic circuit diagram of radio frequency signal transmission of a conventional multimode multi-power amplifier, as shown in fig. 4, since there are 5 intermediate frequency bands commonly used by an operator, which are respectively B1, B2, B3, B4, and B34(B39), and the intermediate frequency bands are transmitted through the intermediate frequency transmission ports MB1, MB2, MB3, MB4, and MB5 of the multimode multi-power amplifier, respectively, and the number of the intermediate frequency ports TX in the above phase2 scheme is exactly corresponding, but the B34(B39) band is TDD, TX and RX need to go in two ways, and therefore a dual-port radio frequency switch needs to be additionally added to solve the problem. Meanwhile, the multimode multi-power amplifier is provided with two high-frequency receiving ports HBRX1 and HBRX2, the original design is respectively used for receiving channels of TDD LTE high-frequency partial frequency bands B40 and B41(B38), and because B40 and B41(B38) are in a TDD mode, radio frequency can only be used in one frequency band in work, RX loops can share one path, so that only the HBRX1 port is needed, and the other HBRX2 port can be transformed into an intermediate-frequency receiving port for RX transmission of TDD LTE or TDSCDMA B34(B39) frequency band. Fig. 5 is a schematic diagram of a port of a radio frequency power amplifier according to an embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 5, it is the main inventive idea of the present disclosure to transform one of the high frequency receiving ports HBRX into an intermediate frequency receiving port MBRX.

For the receiving loop, as described above, in the intermediate frequency band commonly used by operators, the B34(B39) frequency band is in TDD mode, and transmission and reception need to be divided into two paths, so that the redundant high-frequency receiving port is modified into the second intermediate frequency receiving port MB _ RX1, so that the radio-frequency signal with the TDD mode frequency band can be received without using an additional dual-port radio-frequency switch, on one hand, external radio-frequency devices are reduced, radio-frequency routing is optimized, cost is reduced, radio-frequency line loss is reduced, and radio-frequency performance is improved; on the other hand, an improved thought is provided, which can enable the design to be more free; meanwhile, when a second intermediate frequency signal having a TDD scheme is transmitted via an antenna, the second intermediate frequency receiving port MB _ RX1 and the second intermediate frequency transmitting port MB5 are turned on according to a predetermined control signal, so that the second intermediate frequency receiving port MB _ RX1 can receive the second intermediate frequency signal, and by setting the second intermediate frequency switch 3, the second intermediate frequency switch 3 can effectively control and switch the connection state of the second intermediate frequency receiving port MB _ RX1 and the second intermediate frequency transmitting port MB5, and the control is simple, convenient and effective. It will be understood that the predetermined control signal is generated by a microprocessor mentioned below, and for example, when the signal of 600-700 band needs to be transmitted, the signal is determined by the processor to be a low band signal, and the low band signal is suitable for being transmitted through the low band transmission port LB1, a first low band transmission control signal is generated, and the low band selection switch is controlled to connect the low band amplifier with the low band transmission port LB1 for signal transmission. Further, the predetermined control signal refers to a signal for controlling different frequency bands according to different frequency bands, and is not described in detail herein.
Fig. 7 is a schematic circuit diagram of a radio frequency signal transmission principle of another radio frequency power amplifier according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 7, optionally, the first intermediate frequency selection switch includes a first intermediate frequency sub-selection switch 21 and a second intermediate frequency sub-selection switch 22, and the second intermediate frequency switch includes a second intermediate frequency selection switch 31.

The output terminal of the intermediate frequency amplifier 10 is electrically connected to the input terminal of the first intermediate frequency sub-selection switch 21.
Two output ends of the first intermediate frequency sub-selection switch 21 are respectively connected with an input end of the second intermediate frequency sub-selection switch 22 and an input end of the second intermediate frequency selection switch 31; the output ends of the second intermediate frequency sub-selection switches 22 are electrically connected to the first intermediate frequency transmission ports MB in a one-to-one correspondence.
The first intermediate frequency sub-selection switch 21 and the second intermediate frequency sub-selection switch 22 are used to selectively connect the intermediate frequency amplifier 10 to one of the first intermediate frequency transmission ports MB, respectively, according to predetermined control signals.
The other input terminal of the second if selector switch 31 is electrically connected to the if receiving port MB _ RX1, and the output terminal of the second if selector switch 31 is electrically connected to the second if transmitting port MB 5.
The first intermediate frequency sub-selection switch 21 and the second intermediate frequency selection switch 31 are used to communicate the intermediate frequency amplifier 10 with the second intermediate frequency transmission port MB5 or communicate the second intermediate frequency reception port MB _ RX1 with the second intermediate frequency transmission port MB5, respectively, according to predetermined control signals.
Further, the first intermediate frequency selector switch includes a first intermediate frequency sub-selector switch 21 and a second intermediate frequency sub-selector switch 22, for example, when the first intermediate frequency signal amplified by the intermediate frequency amplifier 10 is transmitted to the input terminal of the first intermediate frequency sub-selector switch 21, and when the first intermediate frequency signal is not in the TDD format, the first intermediate frequency sub-selector switch 21 connects the intermediate frequency amplifier 10 with the second intermediate frequency sub-selector switch 22, and meanwhile, according to the frequency of the first intermediate frequency signal, the intermediate frequency signal can be divided into 4 frequency bands, and according to the difference of the frequency bands, the second intermediate frequency sub-selector switch 22 selects to conduct the corresponding first intermediate frequency transmission port MB, so that the first intermediate frequency signals with different frequencies can be output through the corresponding first intermediate frequency transmission port MB. When the first intermediate frequency signal is in the TDD mode, the first intermediate frequency sub-selection switch 21 connects the intermediate frequency amplifier 10 and the second intermediate frequency selection switch 22, and the second intermediate frequency selection switch 22 connects the second intermediate frequency transmission port MB5, so as to transmit the TDD mode intermediate frequency signal. In addition, when receiving the intermediate frequency signal of the TDD scheme, the second intermediate frequency selection switch 22 connects the second intermediate frequency transmission port MB5 with the second intermediate frequency reception port MB _ RX1, so that the second intermediate frequency reception port MB _ RX1 can receive the second intermediate frequency signal of the TDD scheme, and thus, an additional dual-port rf switch is not required to be provided for reception, external rf devices are reduced, cost is reduced, and rf performance is improved.
Optionally, the radio frequency power amplifier further comprises: the high-frequency input port RFIN _ HB, the high-frequency amplifier 11, the high-frequency receiving port HB _ RX1, at least one high-frequency transmission port HB, and at least one high-frequency selection switch 20, where the number of the high-frequency transmission ports HB and the number of the high-frequency selection switches 20 are in one-to-one correspondence. In the present embodiment, 4 high-frequency transmission ports HB1 to HB4 are taken as an example.
The high frequency input port RFIN _ HB is electrically connected to an input terminal of the high frequency amplifier 11, and the high frequency input port RFIN _ HB is used to input a first high frequency signal.
Each of the high-frequency selection switches 20 includes two input terminals and one output terminal, and a second input terminal of each of the high-frequency selection switches 20 is electrically connected to an output terminal of the high-frequency amplifier 11, and the high-frequency amplifier 11 is configured to amplify a first high-frequency signal.
The output ends of the high-frequency selection switches 20 are electrically connected with the high-frequency transmission ports HB 1-HB 4 in a one-to-one correspondence manner, the first input end of each high-frequency selection switch 20 is electrically connected with the high-frequency receiving port HB _ RX1, the high-frequency selection switches 20 are used for selectively communicating the high-frequency amplifier 11 with the high-frequency transmission ports HB 1-HB 4 according to a preset control signal, and the high-frequency transmission ports HB are used for respectively transmitting first high-frequency signals of different frequency bands.
The high-frequency receiving ports HB _ RX1 are electrically connected with the high-frequency transmission ports HB 1-HB 4, and the high-frequency receiving ports HB _ RX1 are used for receiving second high-frequency signals of different frequency bands.
The high-frequency selection switch 20 is further configured to selectively connect the high-frequency receiving port HB _ RX1 with the high-frequency transmission ports HB1 to HB4 according to predetermined control signals, respectively; the high-frequency transmission ports HB 1-HB 4 are also used for respectively transmitting second high-frequency signals of different frequency bands provided by the high-frequency receiving port HB _ RX 1.
It will be appreciated that the radio frequency power amplifier may also transmit high frequency radio frequency signals. Illustratively, a first high-frequency signal is input through the high-frequency input port RFIN _ HB, after the first high-frequency signal is amplified by the high-frequency amplifier 11, the first high-frequency signal can be divided into 4 frequency bands according to the frequency of the first high-frequency signal, the high-frequency selection switch 20 selectively connects the high-frequency transmission ports HB corresponding to the different frequency bands with the high-frequency amplifier 11 through the different frequency bands of the first high-frequency signal, so as to simply, conveniently and effectively transmit the first high-frequency signal of the different frequency bands, and improve the transmission efficiency of the radio-frequency signal.
