Based on the embodiments in the present invention, all other embodiments obtained by a person skilled in the art without creative work belong to the protection scope of the present invention.
In the description of the present invention, it should be noted that the terms "upper", "lower", "horizontal", "inner", "outer", and the like indicate orientations or positional relationships based on the orientations or positional relationships shown in the drawings, and are only for convenience of description and simplification of description, but do not indicate or imply that the device or element referred to must have a specific orientation, be constructed and operated in a specific orientation, and thus, should not be construed as limiting the present invention.
In the description of the present invention, it is to be noted that, unless otherwise explicitly specified or limited, the terms "mounted," "connected," and "connected" are to be construed broadly, and may be, for example, fixedly connected, detachably connected, or integrally connected; can be mechanically or electrically connected; they may be connected directly or indirectly through intervening media, or they may be interconnected between two elements. The specific meaning of the above terms in the present invention can be understood in specific cases to those skilled in the art.
Furthermore, the technical features mentioned in the different embodiments of the invention described below can be combined with each other as long as they do not conflict with each other.
Example 1
As shown in fig. 1, in one aspect, the rescue feeder has a pair of semi-cylindrical troughs 10 opposite each other, the troughs 10 allowing food to be deposited for consumption by back-up pigs, the troughs 10 extending longitudinally along the length of the rescue feeder, the troughs 10 may be made of stainless steel or a non-metallic substance such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and when made of PVC, the troughs may be made of PVC tubing that is split into two halves along the length of the tubing, the first half of the tubing may be used to provide a first trough 10A and the second half of the tubing may be used to provide a second trough 10B.
The trough 10 is mounted at an angle with the lower part of the front wall 15 facing the pigs fed from the trough, the adjacent long sides of the two troughs rising to one side and the non-adjacent sides falling; in this orientation, since the rear wall 20 (from the pig eating perspective) is higher than the front wall 15, highly fortified feed waste is minimized; a water tap 30 is provided through the raised rear wall 20 of each channel, the raised rear wall 20 of the first channel 10A having a water tap hole 90 through which the water tap 30 is insertable and threadably received in the water supply pipe; the water nozzle 30 comprises an actuating pin which allows the water to flow out of the water supply pipe; as is well known, a portion of the water released from the water nozzle 30 falls into the water tank due to the inconvenience of the pig eating; the water nozzle 30 extends horizontally through the corresponding water nozzle holes 90 in the rear wall 20 of the first and second slots 10A, B; wet feeds are more palatable to pigs than dry feeds, and when a replacement pig is fed using a standard rubber pan, the breeder must manually wet and mix the highly fortified feed; any excess water dispensed from the water spout 30 falls into the first basin 10A or the second basin 10B by inserting the water spout 30 through the basin's back wall 20; the water supply pipe 50 provides structural support for each basin through the basin receiving nozzle 30.
The edge protector 60 covers the tops of the first and second grooves 10A and 10B to prevent injury due to the nose of the pig hitting the edge; the edge protectors may comprise welded metal bars secured to the first and second slots 10A, 10B by suitable fasteners. The edge protector 60 is of ladder-like construction, consisting of 1/4 to 3/4 circular metal rods (e.g., 3/8 circular metal rods) welded together, with a first bar 62 extending along the top front of the slot and a second bar 64 extending along the top rear of the slot, the smaller bars constituting ladder rungs 66A-E extending between the first and second bars 62, 64 along the longitudinal length of the first and second slots 10A, 10B. A first edge protector 60A having a ladder-like structure is mounted to the first tank 10A and a second edge protector 60B having a ladder-like structure is mounted to the second tank 10B. Another advantage of the edge protector 60 is to prevent feed waste and another advantage is to prevent the pig from lying down, sleeping or defecating in the trough.
The edge protectors 60A, B have several longitudinally spaced apart rail portions 66A-E which provide discrete, defined feeding areas for each pig, the first slot 10A having two end rail portions and the second slot 10B having two end rail portions disposed at the longitudinal ends of the first and second bars 62, 64. Between the end rail portions are a plurality of longitudinally spaced inner rail portions mounted between the first bar 62 and the second bar 64; the eating area is defined by a pair of ladder sections 66A-E, with interior rung sections separating the different eating areas, and corresponding water nozzle fittings are provided between each ladder pair to provide each pig with a discrete eating area, which limits competition among pigs, thereby ensuring that infected pigs do not have to compete into the eating area.
As shown in fig. 3, the feeding device 5 for pigs is equipped with a quick connect floor stand 100 for securing the feeding device, the quick connect floor stand 100 comprising a spring or biasing member 130, a top handle portion 115, a lower support portion 125, the handle portion 115 extending horizontally from the top of the body portion, the support portion 125 extending horizontally from the lower portion of the shaft 120, and a shaft 120 between the top handle portion 115 and the support portion 125.
A feeding device for live pig feeding further comprises a separate water reservoir 140, the water reservoir 140 being fluidly connected to the water supply pipe 50 at an elevated position; in the raised position, reservoir 140 provides pressurized water to nozzle 30; the fluid supply tube may also contain a drug or feed supplement when connected to a pressurized water source or reservoir 140. The water reservoir may be mounted to the vertical portion 51 of the water supply pipe 50 in such a way that the water reservoir 140 does not interfere with the view of the pigs located at the first and second grooves 10A and 10B.
A feeding device for live pig feeding may provide a conduit for connecting a water reservoir 140 or a source of pressurized water and a supply of concentrated medicine or feed supplement, the conduit comprising a T-valve 145 comprising a threaded first port 150 and a threaded second port 155; the first port 150 is adapted to receive the reservoir 140, the first port 150 having a first shut off valve 160; the second port 155 is adapted to be connected to a source of pressurized water, the second port 155 having a second shut-off valve 165 for supplying water from the reservoir 140 or source of pressurized water to the water nozzle 30; alternatively, the first port 150 or the second port 155 may be configured to receive a metered amount of a concentrated medication or feed supplement.
Finally, it should be noted that: although the present invention has been described in detail with reference to the foregoing embodiments, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that modifications may be made to the embodiments described in the foregoing embodiments, or equivalents may be substituted for elements thereof. Any modification, equivalent replacement, or improvement made within the spirit and principle of the present invention should be included in the protection scope of the present invention.
