Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to a terminal screw for a ring terminal.
Background
A series of annular wiring terminal products are horizontal installation small contactors specially developed for railway customers, and have the advantages of small size, flexible installation and the like. However, for design reasons, the terminal screws have quality problems of poor stability: the original design considers the integration of the protective terminal screw and the pressing plate, ensures that no internal stress of the terminal screw at the loosening position abrades the thread, and sacrifices the stability, but the high risk caused by the abrasion easily causes the deviation of a user when the terminal screw is locked, and even damages a wiring port.
The existing product design considers the integration of a protection screw and a pressure plate, ensures that no internal stress of the screw at a loosening position abrades threads, but sacrifices the stability. The screw has no mechanical connection with the mating piece at the loosening position and has no limit loss. Therefore, when the screw is locked, the offset is easy to occur, the static contact support is damaged, and the screw slides out of the teeth, so that the locking capability is lost.
The contemporary improvement scheme presents installation risks: when the screw is in the release position, the screw thread matching with the plastic cover plate improves the stability of the screw, but at the same time, internal stress can be transmitted to the pressure plate and the screw lower thread, so that the screw lower thread is damaged. Such installation risks increase significantly when the customer applies the electric screwdriver.
The existing products are also provided with a guiding and positioning type screw, the guiding of the screw is positioned at the root of the lower thread, the guiding action only occurs after the root of the screw enters the threaded hole at the lower part, the requirement cannot be met aiming at the application environment needing larger wiring space (the root of the screw and a counterpart), and the conical guiding still has larger risk of damaging a port under the conditions of larger torque and higher rotating speed of the electric screwdriver.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
To address one or more of the above-mentioned deficiencies in the prior art, the novel terminal screw according to the present disclosure adds a guide feature below the thread of the screw head as compared to prior art screws. When the head thread is unscrewed, the guide feature continues to cooperate with the internal thread, which gives the screw rotational and translational degrees of freedom but limits the remaining degrees of freedom, so that the screw can be guaranteed to rotate coaxially with the terminal without deviation when screwed, and no internal stress is guaranteed to damage the lower thread at the release position.
According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a terminal screw for a ring terminal is provided, the terminal screw including a screw head and a screw shank.
The outer surface of the screw head includes a first thread.
The outer surface of the screw shank includes a shank thread.
The outer surface of the screw head also includes a guided shank portion without threads thereon.
According to the above aspect of the present disclosure, the guided polish rod portion is capable of engaging with the axial bore formed by the cover plate threaded hole of the cover plate that is in threaded engagement with the first thread, such that the terminal screw retains only translational freedom along its longitudinal axis and rotational freedom about its longitudinal axis in the loosened position.
According to the above aspects of the present disclosure, the guided rod portion is located between the first thread and the screw shank portion.
According to the above aspects of the present disclosure, the outer surface of the screw shank further comprises a shank groove.

According to the above aspects of the present disclosure, the guided polish rod portion can contact the pressing plate in the locked position, thereby ensuring that the pressing plate provides sufficient pressing force to the ring terminal.
Based on the above aspect of the disclosure, the cover plate threaded hole of the cover plate and the guide polished rod part form a shaft hole matching, but are not in threaded connection, so that the terminal screw can maintain the freedom of translation along the Z direction (along the longitudinal axis direction) and rotation around the Z direction (around the longitudinal axis direction). Compared with the existing product, the terminal screw has limitation on translation and rotation in the X, Y direction (namely, perpendicular to the Z direction), and the damage risk of the terminal and the port caused by translocation of the screw can be effectively reduced. The rotation reserved in the Z direction can enable the screw to rotate freely at the loosening position, and the situation that the assembly of the terminal screw and the pressing plate generates internal stress to damage each thread is avoided.

Detailed Description
Specific embodiments according to the present disclosure are described in detail below with reference to fig. 1 to 3.
As shown in fig. 1, a terminal screw 1 for a ring terminal is provided, the terminal screw 1 including a screw head 2 and a screw shaft portion 3.
The outer surface of the screw head 2 comprises a first thread 2-1.
The outer surface of the screw shank 3 includes a shank thread 3-1.
The outer surface of the screw head 2 also includes a guided rod portion 2-2, with no threads on the guided rod portion 2-2.
According to the above-mentioned embodiment of the present disclosure, the guided polish rod portion can form a shaft-hole fit with the cover plate threaded hole 4-1 of the cover plate 4 that is in threaded fit with the first thread 2-1, so that the terminal screw 1 in the release position (as shown in fig. 3) only retains the translational freedom along its longitudinal axis and the rotational freedom around its longitudinal axis.
According to the above-described embodiment of the present disclosure, the guided polish rod portion 2-2 is located between the first thread 2-1 and the screw shank 3.
According to the above-described embodiments of the present disclosure, the outer surface of the screw shank 3 further includes a shank groove 3-2.
A pressure plate 5 (shown in fig. 2) can be fitted in the rod part groove 3-2.
According to the above-described embodiment of the present disclosure, the guided polish rod portion 2-2 is located between the first thread 2-1 and the rod groove 3-2.
According to the above-described embodiments of the present disclosure, the outer diameter of the screw head 2 is larger than the outer diameter of the screw shank 3.
According to the above embodiment of the present disclosure, the outside diameter of the guided polish rod portion 2-2 is equal to the diameter of the cylindrical surface coinciding with the root of the first thread 2-1.

According to the above-mentioned embodiment of the present disclosure, the cover plate threaded hole 4-1 of the cover plate 4 and the guide polished rod portion 2-2 form a shaft hole fit, but are not in threaded connection, so that the terminal screw 1 retains the freedom of translation along the Z direction (along the longitudinal axis direction thereof) and rotation around the Z direction (around the longitudinal axis direction thereof). Compared with the existing product, the terminal screw 1 according to the present disclosure has limitation to translation and rotation in X, Y direction (i.e. perpendicular to Z direction) during the terminal screw 1 moving towards the locking position and during the terminal screw 1 moving towards the releasing position, which can effectively reduce the damage risk of the terminal and the port caused by the translocation of the screw. The rotation reserved in the Z direction can enable the screw to rotate freely at the loosening position, and the situation that the assembly of the terminal screw and the pressing plate generates internal stress to damage each thread is avoided.
