2. The armrest as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that an elastic restoring member (33) is connected between the front end of said support (3) and the front end of said sliding channel (10), said elastic restoring member (33) being always in tension.
3. The armrest for reclining a chair back as claimed in claim 1, wherein said support (3) is provided with a plurality of engaging grooves (31) along the sliding direction, said movable member (4) being provided with a protrusion (44-1), said protrusion (44) being fixed to said protrusion (44-1).

The armrest as claimed in claim 3, wherein the middle of the movable member (4) is provided with a shaft (41) perpendicular to the sliding direction of the movable member, the movable member (4) is rotatable around the shaft (41), and the latch (44) is located at the rear end of the movable member (4).
5. The armrest as claimed in claim 4, wherein said shaft (41) is slidable up and down within a limited range.

The armrest as claimed in claim 4, characterised in that a locking member is provided in said sliding channel (10), said locking member acting on said movable part (4) and preventing said catch (44) from disengaging from said catch (31) when said movable part (4) is in the non-stressed condition.

The armrest for reclining a chair back as claimed in claim 3, wherein said support (3) has a closed elongated slot (30) along the sliding direction, said plurality of engaging grooves (31) are located on one side of said elongated slot (30), and said engaging member (44) is located in said elongated slot (30).

The movable armrest capable of enabling the chair back to have the reclining function as claimed in claim 1, wherein the rear end of the bracket (3) is provided with a chair back connecting piece (32) which is larger than the rear end opening (10-A), the chair back connecting piece (32) is provided with a strip-shaped groove (320), the chair back is provided with a connecting shaft (3-A), and the connecting shaft (3-A) is slidably arranged in the strip-shaped groove (320).

The movable armrest for providing the chair back with the reclining function as claimed in claim 8, wherein a supporting plate (13) is disposed in the armrest body (1) and serves as a top wall of the sliding channel (10) and is in sliding fit with the bracket (3), a bottom plate (14) of the armrest body (1) serves as a bottom wall of the sliding channel (10) and is in sliding fit with the bracket (3), and a plurality of connecting members (16) are fixedly connected between a top plate (15) of the armrest body (1) and the supporting plate (13).

A chair having a movable armrest as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 9, further comprising a seat, a backrest, and legs, wherein two movable armrests are provided and fixedly mounted on both sides of the seat, respectively, the left and right side edges of the backrest are connected to the brackets of the movable armrests, respectively, and the legs are mounted on the bottom of the seat.
