4. The forebay flume of claim 3, wherein the cover comprises a grid mesh.
5. The forebay launder of claim 4, wherein said drain holes are inclined in said forebay cover plate.
6. The forebay launder of claim 5, said grid mesh comprising a plurality of mesh openings, one side edge of each said mesh opening being provided with a curved dam wall extending vertically above each respective said mesh opening.
7. The forebay flume of claim 3, wherein the cover comprises a screen.
8. The forebay launder according to claim 3, wherein said cover comprises a screen plate provided with at least one conical hole, the top of each said conical hole being located on the side of the drain hole adjacent to the launder body.
