2. The dirt cup assembly of claim 1, wherein a resilient member is disposed between the dirt holding tube and the end cap, the resilient member providing a resilient force to the end cap to open the first opening.

The dirt cup assembly of claim 1, wherein said dirt holding tube has a stop on an outer surface thereof, and said outer shroud has an inwardly extending projection on an interior thereof, said projection being positioned adjacent said upper cover relative to said stop, said projection being capable of abutting against or disengaging from said stop to removably attach said outer shroud to said inner cone.

The dirt cup assembly of claim 1, wherein the cup body is separate from the top cover, a first distance is provided between a rim of the first opening and the end cap, and a second distance is provided between an end of the outer filter housing distal from the dirt holding tube and an inner surface of the top cover, the second distance being greater than the first distance.
5. The dirt cup assembly of claim 1, wherein a dirt receptacle is disposed on the outer filter housing at a location corresponding to the dirt holding tube, the dirt receptacle including a sidewall, the end cap being disposed at an end of the sidewall, the sidewall having a second opening; the cup body is separated from the upper cover, and the end cover opens the first opening so that the first opening is communicated with the inner space of the cup body through the second opening.
6. The dirt cup assembly of claim 5, wherein said sidewall has a plurality of attachment ribs thereon, said attachment ribs having one end attached to said sidewall and another end attached to said end cap; the second opening is formed between the plurality of connecting ribs.
7. The dirt cup assembly of claim 1, wherein the cup body is coupled to the upper cover, and the end cap is a third distance from a bottom of the cup body.
8. The dirt cup assembly of claim 1, wherein the first engagement portion is an edge of the cup body opening, the second engagement portion is a limit rib disposed on an outer surface of the outer filter shroud, the edge of the cup body opening abuts the limit rib to move the outer filter shroud relative to the inner cone, and the end cap closes the first opening.
9. The dirt cup assembly of claim 1, wherein a snap member extends outwardly from an edge of the opening of the cup body, and a mating portion is disposed on the upper cover at a position corresponding to the snap member, the snap member being capable of being snapped into or out of engagement with the mating portion.
10. A vacuum cleaner comprising a main unit and a dirt cup assembly as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 9, the dirt cup assembly being removably attachable to the main unit.
