A gas water heating apparatus comprising a gas water heating apparatus body, and a heat exchanger and an overheat protector provided in the gas water heating apparatus body, the overheat protector being mounted on the heat exchanger by a mounting bracket, characterized in that the mounting bracket is the overheat protector mounting bracket according to any one of claims 1 to 7.
