Abstract
End cap for a hospital bed comprising a frame (10) and a bed plate (60) which is movable in a linear direction (L) relative to the frame. The end cover (20) is used for connecting one end of the bed plate in the linear direction and avoiding the movement track of the bed plate. When the movable door 40 is in the state shown in fig. 1, the user's hand or article may further bypass the movable door 40 and be partially located in the receiving groove 11. When the moving bed plate 60 presses the hand or the object, the movable door 40 is rotated to enlarge the gap 80, so that the pressed hand or the object can be separated from the medical bed through the enlarged gap 80, thereby reducing the damage. Without limitation, in other exemplary embodiments, the gap 80 may be formed entirely by the moveable door 40, with the moveable door 40 not being located only at the most likely location of damage; and the number of the movable doors 40 can be adjusted as needed, for example, only one is provided.
As shown in fig. 1, in the present exemplary embodiment, the shutter 40 has an outer edge portion 41 for forming a partial gap 80. The moveable door 40 is moveable to a closed position (i.e., the position shown in fig. 1). Fig. 4 is a partial schematic structural view of the end cap of the hospital bed shown in fig. 1, showing the back side of the end cap shown in fig. 1. The cap body 30 has two pairs of stops 34 (only one of which is visible in fig. 4). A pair of stoppers 34 can abut against a movable door 40 in the closed position to prevent the outer edge portion 41 from rotating in a first rotating direction R1 toward the other end of the bed frame 10 in the linear direction L. When the movable door 40 is rotated in the second rotating direction R2 opposite to the first rotating direction R1, the gap 80 becomes larger at the corresponding position. Thereby preventing the user from pushing the movable door 40 in the first rotating direction R1 and inserting hands or articles into the medical bed to cause unnecessary damage. In other exemplary embodiments, the number, position and specific shape of the stoppers 34 may be adjusted as needed, and are not limited to those shown in the figures.
In the illustrated embodiment, the end cap 20 also includes two resilient members 50 (only one of which is visible in FIG. 4). An elastic member 50 applies force to the cover main body 30 and a shutter 40 to drive the shutter 40 to automatically return to the closed position, thereby simplifying the operation. In the present exemplary embodiment, the elastic member 50 is a tension spring, but is not limited thereto.
Referring to fig. 5, in the illustrated embodiment, each of the movable doors 40 has two pivot portions 42 extending in a direction parallel to the rotational axis thereof. The cover main body 30 has two pairs of pivoting portions 31 (only one of which is visible in fig. 5), and a pivoting portion 42 is rotatably inserted through one of the pivoting portions 31 through a pivoting hole 35 provided in the pivoting portion 31. Fig. 6 shows a schematic structural view of the pivot portion 42 and the pivot portion 31 along the rotation axis direction, wherein the pivot portion 42 and the pivot portion 31 are in a detached state. As shown in fig. 6, each pivot portion 42 has a cross section defined by two circular arc edges that are concentric and two straight edges that are parallel and of equal length. The circumferential side wall of each pivot portion 31 is opened with an opening 32 communicating with the pivot hole 35 to allow the pivot portion 42 to be detached from or attached to the pivot portion 31 through the opening 32 in a direction perpendicular to the rotation axis (i.e., from the bottom to the top in fig. 6). Thereby being convenient for the installation and the disassembly of the movable door. In other exemplary embodiments, the number of the pivoting portions 31 and the number of the pivoting portions 42 of each of the movable doors 40 may be adjusted as needed.
As shown in fig. 6, in the exemplary embodiment, the opening 32 is substantially trapezoidal, the caliber of the opening is gradually reduced in the direction perpendicular to the rotation axis, and the minimum caliber D2 is substantially equal to the distance D1 between two straight edges of the pivot portion 42, so that the pivot portion 42 and the pivot portion 31 are not easily separated during use. Without limitation, in other exemplary embodiments, the minimum diameter of the opening 32 in a direction perpendicular to the axis of rotation may be greater than the distance between two linear sides of the pivot portion 42; or the minimum caliber of the opening 32 in the direction perpendicular to the rotation axis is slightly smaller than the distance between two straight edges of the pivot part 42, the pivot part 31 is slightly deformed under the extrusion of an external force to allow the pivot part 42 to be assembled, so as to obtain better stability in use.
As shown in fig. 1, in the exemplary embodiment, the cap body 30 has a groove 33 that penetrates in the linear direction L. The recess 33 is used to accommodate the deck 60. The shutter 40 is disposed adjacent to the recess 33 and cooperates with the walls of the recess 33 to form a gap 80. Thereby being beneficial to the compactness of the medical bed.

Referring to fig. 1, in the present exemplary embodiment, the bed base 10 has two receiving grooves 11 (only one of which is visible in fig. 1) extending in the linear direction L. The storage groove 11 is used to store, for example, a rail, a slider, a trailer, and the like of a hospital bed. One side of the storage groove 11 in the linear direction L faces the shutter 40. When the movable door 40 is in the state shown in fig. 1, the user's hand or article may further bypass the movable door 40 and be partially located in the receiving groove 11. When the moving bed plate 60 presses the hand or the object, the movable door 40 is rotated to enlarge the gap 80, so that the pressed hand or the object can be separated from the medical bed through the enlarged gap 80, thereby reducing the damage.
In the present exemplary embodiment, the frame 10 and the cover main body 30 are separate structures, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and in other exemplary embodiments, the frame 10 and the cover main body 30 may be two integral parts that are integrally molded.
The present invention also provides a hospital bed, which in one illustrative embodiment includes a bed plate 60 and a bed frame assembly as described above. The deck 60 is movable in a linear direction L with respect to the frame 10. The end cap 20 is positioned to avoid the path of movement of the deck 60. the end cover (20) is used for connecting one end of the bed frame (10) in the linear direction (L) and avoiding the movement track of the bed board (60); the end cap (20) is configured to: when the bed plate (60) moves to be opposite to the end cover (20), a gap (80) penetrating along the linear direction (L) can be formed between the end cover (20) and the bed plate (60); the end cap (20) comprises:
a cover body (30) for connecting the frame (10); and
a movable door (40) rotatably connected to the cover main body (30) and adapted to form at least a part of the gap (80);
the projection area of the movable door (40) in the linear direction (L) can be changed through rotation, and the size of the gap (80) at the corresponding position is adjusted accordingly.
2. The end cap of a hospital bed according to claim 1, characterized in that the flap (40) has an outer edge (41) for forming the at least partial gap (80); said moveable door (40) being moveable to a closed position; said cover body (30) having a stopper (34), said stopper (34) being capable of abutting against said movable door (40) in the closed position to prevent said outer edge portion (41) from rotating in a first rotational direction (R1) toward the other end of said bed frame (10) in the linear direction (L); when the movable door (40) is rotated in a second rotational direction (R2) opposite to the first rotational direction (R1), the gap (80) becomes larger at the corresponding position.
3. The end cap of a hospital bed according to claim 2, characterized in that the end cap (20) further comprises an elastic member (50), the elastic member (50) exerting a force on the cap body (30) and the movable door (40) to drive the movable door (40) back to the closed position.
4. End cap for a hospital bed according to claim 1, characterized in that the axis of rotation of the flap (40) with respect to the cap body (30) is perpendicular to the linear direction (L).

The end cap of a hospital bed according to claim 1, characterized in that the flap (40) has a pivot portion (42) extending in a direction parallel to its axis of rotation, the cross section of the pivot portion (42) being defined by two circular arc edges which are co-circular and two straight edges which are parallel and of equal length; the cover main body (30) is provided with a pivoting part (31), and the pivoting part (42) is rotatably arranged on the pivoting part (31) through a pivoting hole (35) arranged on the pivoting part (31); the circumferential side wall of the pivoting part (31) is provided with an opening (32) communicated with the pivoting hole (35) so as to allow the pivot part (42) to be detached from or assembled with the pivoting part (31) through the opening (32) along a direction perpendicular to the rotating axis.
6. The end cap of a hospital bed as set forth in claim 5, characterized in that the minimum diameter (D2) of the opening (32) in the direction perpendicular to the axis of rotation is approximately equal to the distance (D1) between the two straight sides of the pivot portion (42).

End cap for hospital beds according to claim 1, characterized in that the cap body (30) has a through-going recess (33) in the linear direction (L), the recess (33) being intended to receive the bed plate (60); the movable door (40) is arranged close to the groove (33) and is matched with the groove wall of the groove (33) to form the gap (80).

Bed frame subassembly of medical bed, medical bed includes a bed board (60), its characterized in that, the bed frame subassembly include: a bed base (10), said bed plate (60) being movable in a linear direction (L) with respect to said bed base (10); and an end cap (20) according to any one of claims 1 to 7, said end cap (20) connecting an end of said bed frame (10) in the linear direction (L).

a bed base assembly according to claim 8 or 9, said bed plate (60) being movable in a linear direction (L) with respect to said bed base (10); the end cover (20) is arranged to avoid the motion track of the bed plate (60).
