The connecting member 22 further includes a lock member 225 located between the first wall 221 and the second wall 222, the lock member 225 being movable between a release position in which the lock member 225 partially overlaps the through hole as viewed in the axial direction of the through hole, and a lock position in which the lock member 225 is offset from the through hole. The locking piece 225 according to the invention is configured for being blocked in the locked position at the constriction 112 of the pin 11 of the wiper arm 1 in order to connect the wiper blade to the wiper arm 1, and to be separated from the pin 11 when the locking piece 225 is in the released position in order to allow the pin 11 of the wiper arm 1 to be inserted into or extracted from the through hole.
In some embodiments, the locking member 225 may be a member that moves between a released position and a locked position, such as driven by a resilient device, such as a reed or spring. In other embodiments, the locking member 225 is formed of a material that is resilient in nature, such as plastic or rubber, such that the locking member 225 is resiliently deformed during movement from the locking position to the releasing position such that the locking member 225 tends to return to the locking position when in the releasing position. In a further embodiment, as shown more clearly in the longitudinal cross-sectional view of fig. 4, the lock member 225 can include a fixed first end 2251, a free second end 2253, and an intermediate portion 2252 between the first and second ends 2251, 2253, wherein in the locked position, the intermediate portion 2252 of the lock member 225 partially overlaps the through-hole. It can be seen that the middle part 2252 partially overlaps the mounting hole 228, and that the position of the middle part 2252 may shift slightly when the pin 11 of the wiper arm passes through the through hole due to abutment against the pin 11, but still partially overlaps the mounting hole 228. In some embodiments, the lock member 225 extends from the first end 2251 to the second end 2253 in a generally upward and forward sloping direction such that the second end 2253 of the lock member 225 is positioned at the top of the connector 22, thereby making the second end 2253 of the lock member 225 easily accessible. Further, the second end 2253 of the lock 225 may have a toggle for toggling the lock 2253 from the locked position to the released position for easy detachment of the wiper blade from the wiper arm 1. Further, as can be seen in fig. 3, in the locked position, the middle 2252 of the locking member 225 substantially overlaps the edge of the through hole. Additionally, in the illustrated embodiment, the connector 22 includes a locking member 225 integrally formed, such as by injection molding, the locking member 225 being a portion of the connector 22, the locking member 225 being positioned between the first arm 221 and the second wall 222, and the first end 2251 thereof being coupled to one of the plurality of ribs between the first wall 221 and the second wall 222. As in some embodiments, the connecting member 22 may be made of, for example, a material having elasticity of its own, such as plastic or rubber, as a whole.
In some embodiments, the adapter 21 includes a post 214 connected between the first sidewall 212 and the second sidewall 213, the connector 22 includes a channel 224 for mating with the post 214, and the connector 22 is connected to the adapter 21 by the mating between the channel 224 and the post 214. In some embodiments, the downward facing opening of the first section 2241 of the channel 224 may have two guide walls 2240 for guiding the channel 224 in cooperation with the post 214. In some embodiments, the first section 2241 of the tunnel 224 may be in a vertical direction or at an angle to the vertical direction. In some embodiments, the first section 2242 of the channel 224 has a profile that matches the post 214 to define the mounting position of the post 214, the post 214 being passed through a bayonet having a smaller diameter D than the post before the post 214 enters its mounting position, the post 214 entering the second section 2242 of the channel 224 by means of deformation of the connector 22 which is itself resilient, and the bayonet locking its position after the post is mounted in place. In some embodiments, the first sidewall 212 and the second sidewall 213 and the post 214 connected therebetween may be made of a metallic material. In some embodiments, the entire adapter includes a metal bracket and a plastic housing, the metal bracket being integrally formed and including a first sidewall 212 and a second sidewall 213 and a post 214 connected therebetween. In some embodiments, the top of the first sidewall 212 and the second sidewall 213 have different profiles, while the connector 22 has a tab 230 (see fig. 4) that can only mate with the top profile of one of the first sidewall 212 and the second sidewall 213 for preventing the connector 22 from being installed upside down.
With reference to fig. 4 to 6, it is described how a first type of wiper arm is mounted to a wiper blade according to an embodiment of the invention. As shown in fig. 4, the wiper arm 1 includes a pin 11 including a proximal end 113 closer to the main body of the wiper arm 1, a distal end 111 farthest from the main body of the wiper arm 1, and a constricted portion 112 between the proximal end 113 and the distal end 111. The constriction 112 has a smaller diameter than the proximal end 113 and the distal end 111, the distal end 111 of the pin 11 having a front portion 110 which is curved. When mounting, the pin 11 of the wiper arm 1 is inserted into the through-holes, specifically, as shown in fig. 4, the front portion 110 of the pin 11 is inserted into the first side wall 212 of the adaptor 21 and the first wall 221 of the connecting member 22, and then, as shown in fig. 5, the arc-shaped portion of the front portion 110 of the pin 11 is pushed out of the middle portion 2252 of the lock member 225 and the lock member 225 is elastically deformed so that the pin 11 can be continuously inserted forward, and finally, as shown in fig. 6, the front portion 110 of the pin 11 is passed through the second wall 222 of the connecting member 22 and the second side wall 213 of the adaptor 21, wherein the front portion 110 of the pin 11 is exposed, the distal end 111 of the pin 11 is fitted into the mounting hole of the second wall 222 of the connecting member and the opening hole of the second side wall 213 of the adaptor, the proximal end 113 of the pin 11 is fitted into the mounting hole of the first wall 221 of the connecting member 22 and the opening hole of the first side wall 212 of the adaptor 21, and in a position corresponding to the locking member 225, the locking member 225 tends to return to the locking position from the release position staggered from the through hole to allow the passage of the peg 11 due to elastic deformation, with the intermediate part 2252 thereof catching at the constricted part 112 of the peg 11, so that the peg 11 of the wiper arm 1 is connected to the wiper blade.
Referring to fig. 4, in some embodiments, the connector 22 has a front end 2202 and a rear end 2201, wherein the front end 2202 refers to the end closer to the root of the wiper arm when connected thereto and the rear end 2201 refers to the end farther from the root of the wiper arm. When the connecting member 22 is mounted to the adapter 21, the front end 2202 and the rear end 2201 of the connecting member 22 axially protrude from the first side wall 212 and the second side wall 213 (in other words, the front end 2202 and the rear end 2201 of the connecting member 22 have a width larger than the interval between the first side wall 212 and the second side wall 213), so that when being mated with the wiper arm 1, the wiper arm 1 is in contact with the connecting member 22 made of, for example, an elastic material without being in direct contact with the first side wall 212 and the second side wall 213 of the adapter 21 made of, for example, a metal, and noise is generated due to friction.
With continued reference to fig. 7, an enlarged view of the locked condition is shown, illustrating the manner of disassembly. In the locked state, the wiper blade can be easily removed by merely toggling the second end 2253 of the locking member 225 in the direction indicated by the arrow D1 from the locking position to the release position and then pulling the pin 11 of the wiper arm 1 in the direction indicated by the arrow D2 for the purpose of changing the wiper blade or the like. In some embodiments, the dials at the second end 2253 of the locking member 225 may be provided with protrusions to increase friction and facilitate dialing operations.
With continued reference to fig. 8, a perspective view of a wiper blade according to the invention is shown when mounted with a wiper arm 10 of a second type. As seen in fig. 1 and 2, the top of the connector 22 may have a depressible tab 226 and the second wall 222 and the second wall 213 have a correspondingly positioned horizontally oriented slot 229,217 and/or the first wall 212 and the first wall 221 have a correspondingly positioned slot. The wiper blade is connected to the second type of wiper arm 10 by means of the projections 226 and the grooves. More specifically, the second type of wiper arm 10 may have a side 101 with an inwardly concave protrusion 102. The second type of wiper arm 10 can be mounted to the wiper blade in a horizontal orientation, wherein the protrusions 102 move along the slots of the second side wall 213 until the projections 226 of the connecting member 22 fit into the openings in the top of the second type of wiper arm 10, thereby fixedly connecting the wiper blade to the second type of wiper arm 10. As shown more clearly in fig. 3, the projection 226 is located on the front side (right side in fig. 3) of the lock 225, the front side of the projection 226 is connected to the coupling 22 by a resilient cantilever 2261, the rear side of the projection 226 has a support 2262, and as can be seen in fig. 3, the projection 226 and the support 2262 have a height greater than the lock 225. Wherein the support table 226 can give a certain supporting force to the second type of wiper arm 10 to prevent the wiper arm 10 from floating and generating noise.
In addition, the present invention also provides a wiper including the wiper blade and the wiper arm according to various embodiments, such as the first type or the second type of the wiper arm.
