Abstract

技术领域
本申请要求于2015年10月15日在韩国知识产权局提交的韩国专利申请第10-2015-0144084号的优先权和权益,通过引用将其全部内容结合在此。本实用新型涉及一种包括具有弯曲结构的电极引线的袋型电池单元。
背景技术
可再充电电池被广泛地用作诸如手机、笔记本电脑、便携式摄像机等移动装置的电源。特别地,由于高操作电压和每单位重量的高能量密度的优势,锂可再充电电池的使用正在迅速增加。
根据电极的构造和电解质溶液,锂可再充电电池可分为锂离子电池、锂离子聚合物电池、锂聚合物电池等,并且在这些电池中,电解质溶液泄漏的可能性较低并且易于制造的锂离子聚合物电池正在增加。
锂离子聚合物电池(LiPB)具有如下的结构:其中,包括被热熔并浸渍有电解液的电极(正极和负极)和分隔膜(separation membrane)的电极组件主要以该电极组件被密封在由铝层压片制成的袋型壳体中的形式而使用。
因此,锂离子聚合物电池有时被称为袋型电池。

参照图1,电池单元10由如下的结构制成:其中,由正极、负极、以及置于正极与负极之间的分隔膜制成的电极组件30构建在袋型电池壳体20中,并且将其正极接片31和负极接片32分别焊接至电极端子40和电极端子41并且进行密封以暴露于电池壳体20的外部。
电池壳体20由诸如铝层压板之类的柔性包装材料形成,并且包括壳体主体21和盖22,所述壳体主体21包括具有电极组件30可容纳于其中的凹陷形状的容纳单元23,所述盖22的一侧连接至主体21。
对于在电池单元10中使用的电极组件30,除了如图1中所示的堆叠型结构之外,包卷型结构或堆叠/折叠型结构也是可能的。
在堆叠型电极组件30中,多个正极接片31和多个负极接片32分别地焊接至各电极端子40和电极端子41。
参照图2连同图1,电池壳体20的容纳单元23的两个部分通过压力被施压并加热,由此形成被密封的密封部24,并且密封部24在容纳单元23的两侧处进行弯曲并紧密接触以使电池单元的体积最小化。
电池壳体20的上端如同密封部24一般通过压力被施压并加热,由此形成被密封的密封剩余部25。然而,与密封部24不同,由于电极接片31、电极接片32、电极端子40和电极端子41连接至密封剩余部25的内部,因此密封剩余部25不会沿着电池壳体20的容纳单元23的方向弯曲,因此电池单元的体积不会被最小化。
结果,对于电池每单位体积的能量密度的劣化,从密封剩余部25突出的电极端子40和电极端子41是负有责任的。
因此,可以解决上述问题的电池单元是非常必要的。
在这一背景技术部分中公开的上述信息仅用于提高对本实用新型背景的理解,因此其可能包含不构成本国本领域普通技术人员已知的现有技术的信息。
实用新型内容
本实用新型的一个目的是解决现有技术的问题和过去的其他技术问题。
本实用新型通过使因突出的电极端子而形成的空间最小化来提供一种具有改进的电池每单位体积的能量密度的电池单元。
根据本实用新型的电池单元包括由正极、负极和分隔膜构造的电极组件以及电池壳体,其中,以电极组件构建在容纳单元中的状态,密封剩余部形成在所述电池壳体的外周处。
其中所述电池壳体由具有第一表面和与第一表面相对的第二表面的片形结构而形成,
片形结构的电极端子经由电池壳体的一侧密封剩余部而突出,并且以电极端子在突出部处沿着电池壳体的第一表面方向或第二表面方向弯曲的状态,电极端子与密封剩余部的一个表面或与该表面相对的另一表面接触。
第一表面可以指电极组件的容纳单元所形成的水平表面,第二表面可以指与容纳单元相对的电池壳体的盖所位于的水平表面。
因此,由于根据本实用新型的电池单元是由如下的结构制成:其中电极端子沿着电池壳体的第一表面方向或第二表面方向弯曲,以便与密封剩余部的一个表面或另一表面接触,所以因电极端子的突出而形成的空间得以减至最小,由此改善电池每单位体积的能量密度。
电极组件可由折叠结构、堆叠型结构、堆叠/折叠型结构、或层压/堆叠型结构制成。
折叠结构、堆叠型结构、堆叠/折叠型结构、以及层压/堆叠型结构将被描述如下。
首先,折叠型结构的单元电池可通过如下方式制造:在将包括电极活性材料的复合物涂布至金属集电器的每一个之后,将分隔膜片放置并卷绕在经干燥和压制的片形的正极和负极之间。
堆叠型结构的单元电池可通过如下方式制造:在将包括电极活性材料的复合物涂布、然后干燥并压制到每一个金属集电器之后,将切割成具有对应于正极板和负极板的预定尺寸的分隔膜插置和放置在切割成预定尺寸的正极板和负极板之间。
作为正极和负极彼此面对的结构,堆叠/折叠型结构的单元电池可包括两个或更多的单元电池,其中两个或更多个电极板被堆叠并且可通过如下方式制造:用至少一个非重叠形状的隔膜将各单元电池进行卷绕,或者将隔膜进行弯曲成各单元电池的尺寸并将其插置在各单元电池之间。
如果需要,作为正极和负极彼此面对的结构,至少一个单电极板可以额外地包括在任何单元电池之间和/或在最外侧的单元电池的外表面处。
单元电池可以是其中两个最外侧的电极板具有相同极性的S型单元电池,和其中两个最外侧的电极板具有相反极性的D型单元电池。
S型单元电池可以是其中两个最外侧的电极板是正极的SC型单元电池,和其中两个最外侧的电极板是负极的SA型单元电池。
层压/堆叠型结构的单元电池可通过如下方式制造:在将电极复合物涂布、然后干燥并压制到每一个金属集电器之后,从底部顺序地堆叠负极、负极上的分隔膜、以及正极和其上的分隔膜,然后将其切割至预定尺寸。
电池壳体可由包括树脂外层、阻挡金属层、和热熔树脂密封层在内的层压片而制成。
由于树脂外层必须具有对外部环境的优异的耐受性,因此需要具有超过预定值的拉伸强度和耐候性。
从这方面来看,作为树脂外层的聚合物树脂,可优选地使用聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)和拉伸尼龙膜。
对于阻挡金属层,除了展现出防止诸如气体和湿气的异物流入或外泄的功能之外,为了展现出改善电池壳体的强度的功能,可优选地使用铝。
树脂密封层可优选地使用聚烯烃基树脂,以便具有热熔性(热粘结性)和低吸湿性,从而抑制电解质溶液的渗透且不被电解质溶液溶胀或侵蚀,并且更优选地使用流延聚丙烯(CPP)。
在本实用新型的一个实施例中,粘结构件可插置在密封剩余部和电极端子之间,以便维持电极端子的弯曲和对于密封剩余部的接触状态。
作为详细的实施例,粘结构件可以是双面胶带。
作为另一实施例,粘结构件可以是可固化粘结剂。
作为另一实施例,粘结构件可以是粘结剂。
粘结构件可以是双面胶带、可固化粘结剂、或粘结剂,但并不限于此,只要材料可以保持电极端子的弯曲和电极端子对于密封剩余部的接触状态即可。
在本实用新型的一个实施例中,密封剩余部的一个表面可位于电池壳体的第一表面处,密封剩余部的另一表面可位于电池壳体的第二表面处,并且由于从密封剩余部突出的部分弯曲了180度,因此电极端子可与密封剩余部的一个表面或外表面接触。
在另一详细的实施例中,密封剩余部的一个表面可位于电池壳体的第一表面处,并且由于从密封剩余部突出的部分沿着容纳单元方向弯曲了180度,因此电极端子可与密封剩余部的一个表面接触。
在另一详细的实施例中,密封剩余部的另一表面可位于电池壳体的第二表面处,并且由于从密封剩余部突出的部分沿着电池壳体的盖方向弯曲了180度,因此电极端子可与密封剩余部的另一表面接触。
在本实用新型的另一实施例中,电极端子可由第一电极引线和第二电极引线制成。
也就是说,正极端子和负极端子可由作为两个单元的电极引线的第一电极引线和第二电极引线而制成。
电极组件的电极接片可粘合到位于容纳单元处的第一电极引线的端部和第二电极引线的端部,由此形成电连接。
详细地,电极组件的正极接片可粘合到第一正极引线的端部和第二正极引线的端部,电极组件的负极接片可粘合到第二负极引线的端部和第二负极引线的端部。
而且,第一电极引线和第二电极引线可通过激光焊接以共同的端部是重叠的状态粘合到电极接片。
第一电极引线可沿着电池壳体的第一表面方向弯曲以与密封剩余部的一个表面接触,第二电极引线可沿着电池壳体的第二表面方向弯曲以与密封剩余部的另一表面接触。
详细地,第一正极引线和第一负极引线可沿着电池壳体的第一表面方向弯曲以与密封剩余部的一个表面接触,第二正极引线和第二负极引线可沿着电池壳体的第二表面方向弯曲以与密封剩余部的另一表面接触。
粘结构件可插置在第一电极引线与密封剩余部的一个表面之间以及在第二电极引线与密封剩余部的另一表面之间。
粘结构件可以是双面胶带、可固化粘结剂、或粘结剂,但并不限于此,只要材料可以保持电极端子的弯曲和电极端子对于密封剩余部的接触状态即可。
而且,在密封剩余部中,绝缘膜可插置在电极端子与电池壳体的界面处,以增加电极端子与电池壳体之间的粘结性,以便防止电极端子与电池壳体的层压片的金属层之间的短路,并且改善电池壳体的密封性。
电池单元可以是锂可再充电电池,且详细地,电池单元可以是锂离子电池或锂离子聚合物电池。
通常,锂可再充电电池是由正极、负极、分隔膜和含锂盐的非水电解质构造而成。
正极可通过如下方式制造:例如,将正极活性材料、导电材料和粘合剂的混合物在正极集电器上涂布并干燥,并且如果有需要,进一步添加填料到混合物中。

基于包括正极活性材料在内的混合物的总重量,以1重量%-30重量%添加导电材料。
该导电材料并没有特别地限定,只要其不引起在电池中的化学变化,并具有导电性即可,例如,可以使用石墨,诸如天然石墨和人工石墨;炭黑,诸如炭黑、乙炔黑、Ketjen黑、槽法炭黑、炉法炭黑、灯黑、以及热炭黑;导电纤维,诸如碳纤维或金属纤维;金属粉末,诸如氟化碳粉末、铝粉、以及镍粉;导电晶须,诸如氧化锌和钛酸钾;导电金属氧化物,诸如钛氧化物;导电材料,诸如聚苯撑的衍生物;和类似物。
粘合剂是有助于活性材料与导电材料等的粘合以及有助于对集电器的粘合的一种组分,且基于包括正极活性材料在内的混合物的总重量,通常以1重量%-30重量%添加粘合剂。
粘合剂的实例可包括聚偏二氟乙烯、聚乙烯醇、羧甲基纤维素(CMC)、淀粉、羟丙基纤维素、再生纤维素、聚乙烯吡咯烷酮、四氟乙烯、聚乙烯、聚丙烯、乙烯-丙烯-二烯三元共聚物(EPDM)、磺化EPDM、苯乙烯丁二烯橡胶、氟橡胶、各种共聚物、和类似物。
填料是一种抑制正极的膨胀的组分,且是选择性地使用,并且没有特别地限定,只要其不引起在电池中的化学变化并且是纤维材料即可,例如,可以使用烯烃基聚合物,诸如聚乙烯和聚丙烯;纤维材料,诸如玻璃纤维和碳纤维。
负极是通过如下方式制造:在负极集电器和/或延伸集电部上涂布负极活性材料,并将其干燥,如果有需要,还可进一步可选地包括上述成分。
负极活性材料可包括,例如,碳,诸如硬碳、石墨系碳;金属复合氧化物,诸如LixFe2O3(0≤x≤1)、LixWO2(0≤x≤1)、和SnxMe1-xMe'yOz(Me:Mn、Fe、Pb、Ge;Me':Al、B、P、Si、元素周期表第1、2和3族元素、卤素;0<x≤1;1≤y≤3;1≤z≤8);锂金属;锂合金;硅系合金;锡系合金;金属氧化物,诸如SnO、SnO2、PbO、PbO2、Pb2O3、Pb3O4、Sb2O3、Sb2O4、Sb2O5、GeO、GeO2、Bi2O3、Bi2O4、和Bi2O5;导电聚合物,诸如聚乙炔;Li-Co-Ni系材料;和类似物。
分隔膜插置于正极和负极之间,并使用具有高的离子渗透性和机械强度的绝缘薄膜。
分隔膜通常具有0.01μm-10μm的孔径和5μm-300μm的厚度。
作为这种分隔膜,可使用例如烯烃基聚合物,诸如耐化学品的和疏水的聚丙烯;由玻璃纤维或聚乙烯制成的片或无纺布;和类似物。
在使用诸如聚合物之类的固体电解质作为电解质的情况下,固体电解质也可以用作分隔膜。
含锂盐的非水电解质溶液是由极性有机电解质溶液和锂盐组成。
作为电解质溶液,可使用非水电解质溶液、有机固体电解质、无机固体电解质等。
非水液体电解质溶液可包括:例如,非质子有机溶剂,诸如N-甲基-2-吡咯烷酮、碳酸丙烯酯、碳酸乙烯酯、碳酸丁烯酯、碳酸二甲酯、碳酸二乙酯、γ-丁内酯、1,2-二甲氧基乙烷、四氢呋喃、2-甲基四氢呋喃、二甲亚砜、1,3-二氧戊环、甲酰胺、二甲基甲酰胺、二氧戊环、乙腈、硝基甲烷、甲酸甲酯、乙酸甲酯、磷酸三酯、三甲氧基甲烷、二氧戊环衍生物、环丁砜、甲基环丁砜、1,3-二甲基-2-咪唑烷酮、碳酸丙烯酯衍生物、四氢呋喃衍生物、醚、丙酸甲酯和丙酸乙酯。
有机固体电解质可包括,例如,聚乙烯衍生物、聚环氧乙烷衍生物、聚环氧丙烷衍生物、磷酸酯聚合物、多聚赖氨酸、聚酯硫化物、聚乙烯醇、聚偏二氟乙烯、含有离子解离基团的聚合物、和类似物。
无机固体电解质可包括,例如,锂的氮化物、卤化物、硫化物等,诸如Li3N、LiI、Li5NI2、Li3N-LiI-LiOH、LiSiO4、LiSiO4-LiI-LiOH、Li2SiS3、Li4SiO4、Li4SiO4-LiI-LiOH、以及Li3PO4-Li2S-SiS2。
锂盐是一种易溶于非水电解质的材料,并且可使用例如,LiCl、LiBr、LiI、LiClO4、LiBF4、LiB10Cl10、LiPF6、LiCF3SO3、LiCF3CO2、LiAsF6、LiSbF6、LiAlCl4、CH3SO3Li、CF3SO3Li、(CF3SO2)2NLi、氯硼烷锂、低级脂肪族羧酸锂、4-苯基硼酸锂、酰亚胺、和类似物。
此外,出于改进充电和放电特性、阻燃性等的目的,举例来说,吡啶、亚磷酸三乙酯、三乙醇胺、环醚、乙二胺、乙二醇二甲醚、六磷酸酯三酰胺、硝基苯衍生物、硫、醌亚胺染料、N-取代的恶唑烷酮、N,N-取代的咪唑烷、乙二醇二烷基醚、铵盐、吡咯、2-甲氧基乙醇、三氯化铝、和类似物可加入至非水电解质溶液。
在一些情况下,为了赋予不燃性,可进一步包括含卤溶剂,诸如四氯化碳和三氟乙烯,且为了改进高温储存特性,可进一步包括二氧化碳气体。
本实用新型还提供一种包括两个或更多个电池单元的电池组。
本实用新型提供一种包括所述电池组作为电源的装置。
所述装置可选自移动电话、可穿戴电子装置、便携式计算机、智能平板电脑、上网本、轻型电动车辆(LEV)、电动汽车、混合动力车辆、插电式混合电动汽车、和电力储存装置。
本领域中公开有这些装置的结构及其制造方法,因此本说明书中省略其详细描述。

其中所述电池壳体由具有第一表面和与第一表面相对的第二表面的片形结构而形成,
片形结构的电极端子经由所述电池壳体的一侧密封剩余部而突出,并且以所述电极端子在所述突出部处沿着所述电池壳体的所述第一表面方向或所述第二表面方向弯曲的状态,所述电极端子与所述密封剩余部的一个表面或与所述表面相对的另一表面接触。

所述电极组件是由折叠结构、堆叠型结构、堆叠/折叠型结构、或层压/堆叠型结构制成。
