The utility model relates to an air inlet manifold assembly; more particularly, it relates to a clip integrated into an intake manifold assembly.
Background
Currently, the profile of many vehicles requires the shortening of the front suspension, which results in an increasingly smaller available space in the engine compartment for vehicles with a front engine. Therefore, it will become increasingly important to efficiently utilize the available space of the engine front compartment. However, current vehicle engine compartments must be provided with cooling systems to perform the cooling function for the engine, and the cooling water pipes of the cooling systems must extend around the engine block, and these cooling water pipes are generally fixed to the intake manifold.
In conventional vehicles, in order to fasten the coolant pipes of the cooling system, the coolant pipes are configured with optional fastening clips, and openings are configured at the intake manifold for fastening the optional fastening clips. However, the clips cannot be unified due to different fixing strategies adopted by suppliers supplying cooling water pipe clips for various vehicle models. In addition, in order to ensure the stability of the clamp structure, an additional reinforcing mechanism needs to be constructed, which affects the integration of the cooling water pipe and the intake manifold after the clamp is fixed. Finally, since the opening is provided at the intake manifold, the operator must find and align the opening of the intake manifold when the clamp is secured at the intake manifold, which affects the ease of operation.

fig. 2 shows a side view of a clamp 1 according to the invention, an
Fig. 3 shows an intake manifold assembly comprising the clip 1, wherein the clip 1 is mounted on a boss of the intake manifold assembly.
Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a sectional view of the clamp 1. Wherein the clamp 1 comprises a first half ring 2 and a second half ring 3, one end of the first half ring and one end of the second half ring being connected to each other, e.g. by hinging, screwing, etc. Furthermore, the clamp 1 comprises a snap-on assembly 4, the components of which are arranged at the first free end 21 of the first half collar 2 and the second free end 31 of the second half collar 3, respectively, for fixing the pipeline components in the closure formed by the two half collars. In order to integrate the clamp 1 on other components, the clamp 1 is also provided with a positioning part 6, to which the positioning part 6 can be fixed.
The line component can be a pipe or line component and then, as an example, a cooling water line for cooling the engine.
Meanwhile, the other component may be an intake manifold of the engine, here by way of example. Cooling water pipes for cooling the engine are often integrated at the intake manifold by means of a clamp.
In order to stably fix the cooling water pipe in the two semi-rings clamped together, the diameter of the ring formed by the two semi-rings is matched with the diameter of the cooling water pipe to be installed.
Furthermore, it can be seen from fig. 1 that the snap-on assembly of the clamp 1 comprises a snap lock 41 arranged at the first free end 21 and a snap lock receiver 42 arranged at the second free end 31, which snap lock and snap lock receiver can be snapped into each other for fixing the cooling water line in the two half-rings.
For example, as outlined in fig. 1, the latch 41 and the latch receiver 42 of the snap-on assembly are configured as follows: namely, the latch 41 has a protrusion 411 at its end in the width direction, the latch accommodating portion 42 is configured to have an opening 421 facing the latch and a stopper portion 422 at the open end partially closing the opening, and the protrusion and the stopper portion can be engaged with each other to latch the first half ring and the second half ring together.
In order to achieve an easy snapping of the catch 41 into the catch receptacle 42 with the stop 422, the catch may be configured as a steel catch member with a first modulus of elasticity. Of course, it is also possible to configure both the latch 41 and the latch accommodating portion 42 as steel members having the first modulus of elasticity.
In correspondence with this configuration of the snap-on assembly 4, the snap-on assembly has a locking position in which the snap-on lock 41 and the snap-on lock receiver 42 are snapped together so that the cooling water pipes are fixed in the two half-rings and/or a release position; and in the release position, the lock catch and the lock catch accommodating part are mutually released from clamping connection, so that the cooling water pipe can be installed in the two half rings or taken out of the two half rings.
In order to be able to fit cooling water pipes into or remove cooling water pipes from the two half rings in the case of a connection of one end of the first half ring 2 to one end of the second half ring 3, the second half ring 3 is constructed as a steel half ring component with a first modulus of elasticity, such that the space between the first free end 21 of the first half ring and the second free end 31 of the second half ring can be opened up to allow cooling water pipes to be inserted into or removed from it.
Furthermore, as can be seen from fig. 1, the first half ring 2 surrounds the cooling water pipe from below and the second half ring surrounds the cooling water pipe from above, so that the first half ring 2 not only serves to fix the cooling water pipe, but also bears the weight of the cooling water pipe and the fluid therein. In order to be able to fix the cooling water line stably and securely in both half rings, it is therefore preferred if only the second half ring 3 is designed as a steel half ring component with a first modulus of elasticity, while the first half ring 2 is designed as a steel half ring component with a higher rigidity, for example as an injection-molded steel half ring component, wherein the second free end 31 of the second half ring 3 can be opened up to allow the cooling water line to be snapped into or removed from it. This design of the two ring halves not only meets the functional requirements of the ring halves, but also simultaneously prevents the first ring half 2 from deforming when carrying the cooling water pipes.
As can be seen from fig. 2, the positioning portion 6 of the clamp 1 is provided with a limit protrusion 61, and the limit protrusion 61 can be matched with a limit hole at an intake manifold, to which the clamp 1 is integrated, to provide circumferential limit between the clamp 1 and the intake manifold. This fit effectively prevents the clip 1 from swinging relative to the intake manifold, particularly when the intake manifold vibrates during engine operation, thereby ensuring the mounting stability of the coolant pipe.
Furthermore, it can be seen from fig. 2 that a threaded bore 62 is arranged at the positioning section 6 of the clamp 1, and the clamp 1 is integrated with the intake manifold by means of a screw via the threaded bore 62. Preferably, the positioning portion 6 is integrated at the intake manifold through the threaded hole 62 by means of self-tapping screws.
As can be seen from fig. 1, the first half-ring 2 is provided on its circumferential surface with first reinforcing ribs for strength and/or the positioning part 6 is provided on its positioning surface with second reinforcing ribs for strength. Preferably, however, the second half ring 3 is also provided with additional first reinforcing ribs on its peripheral surface for strength.
From fig. 3, an intake manifold assembly comprising a clip 1 integrated thereon can be seen. Wherein a mounting boss is provided at an intake manifold of the intake manifold assembly, and the clip is integrated with the positioning portion by means of a screw to the mounting boss. And a limit hole matched with the limit protrusion 61 is provided on the intake manifold of the intake manifold assembly, and the clamp 1 is engaged with the limit hole via the limit protrusion.
Preferably, the intake manifold assembly has an intake manifold, a mounting boss, a stopper hole, and a clamp having a snap assembly, wherein the snap lock has a projection at an end thereof in a width direction, the snap lock accommodating portion is configured to have an opening facing the snap lock and a stopper portion at the open end partially closing the opening, and the projection and the stopper portion can be snapped into each other.
The above embodiments mainly describe the clamp of the present invention and the intake manifold assembly including the clamp. Although only a few embodiments of the present invention have been described, those skilled in the art will appreciate that the present invention may be embodied in many other forms without departing from the spirit or scope thereof.
