Technical Field
The utility model relates to a data security technical field especially relates to a financial equipment and protection device thereof.
Background
With the rapid development of electronic technology and computer technology, it is common in the financial industry to use PIN input devices to manage the capital security of users, and in order to protect the capital security of users, protective measures for preventing physical detection are usually provided on the hardware design of PIN input devices.
For core devices that involve core data of the user, attack detection circuitry must be present to protect. For example, for a CPU involving user core data, the attack detection circuit is also designed with IC pins, usually in order to prevent an attacker from probing the pins of the CPU through a probe.
An attack detection circuit is designed on a circuit board related to user core data, a sensor and an attack detection switch which are designed in the PIN input device are finally converged on the circuit board related to the user core data, and the circuit board is powered and always works through a battery arranged in the PIN input device. Even if no power supply is connected to the outside, the circuit board can still work by using the internal battery, once the internal battery is invalid, data in the PIN input device cannot be stored, all data are lost, and the PIN input device cannot be used continuously.
If the attack detection circuit detects that the sensor and the attack detection switch are triggered, data in the PIN input device are deleted, and the PIN input device cannot be used continuously.
In order to make the fund of the user safer, the circuit board related to the core data of the user is usually placed in a protection wall formed by a plurality of PCB board fence frames, a gap is formed at the welding position of two adjacent PCBs, and a probe easily penetrates through the gap to directly attack the core device related to the core data placed in the protection wall, so that the core data is stolen.

Drawings
FIG. 1 is an exploded view of a protection device according to an embodiment;
FIG. 2a is a schematic view of the first and second portions snapped together;
FIG. 2b is a cross-sectional view of FIG. 2a taken along line A-A.
Detailed Description
The following is a further description with reference to the drawings and examples.
As shown in fig. 1, a financial device protection apparatus 10 includes a first part 100 and a second part 200 that are snap-fitted to each other. The first portion 100 is used for placing a core device (not shown), and includes a first base plate 110 and a first wall member 120 disposed on the first base plate 110. The inner space enclosed by the first wall member 120 is used for placing the core device. The second part 200 includes a second base plate 210 and a second fence member 220 provided on the second base plate 210. Referring to fig. 2a, the second portion 200 is snap-fit and fixedly connected to the first portion 100, and the second wall member 220 encloses the first wall member 120 (not shown in fig. 2 a).
The first and second wall members 120 and 220 may be integrally formed. Or 4 plates can be spliced. The cross-sectional shapes of the first and second wall elements 120 and 220 may be other than the quadrangle shown in the drawings, such as a circle, a triangle, or other polygons.
The first base plate 110 and the first enclosure member 120 are welded, and the second base plate 210 and the second enclosure member 220 are welded. When the second part 200 is fastened and fixedly connected with the first part 100, a welding mode is also adopted. The welding mode is simple relatively, and firm in connection is difficult for the pine to take off.
Reference is made to fig. 2b, which is a cross-sectional view of the protective device 10 shown in fig. 2a, taken along section line a-a. As shown in fig. 2b, the core device 20 is placed in the space enclosed by the first wall member 120. Meanwhile, the second wall member 220 encloses the first wall member 120. The second enclosure member 220 is fixedly coupled to the first base plate 110. The core device 20 is thus placed in an enclosed space, preventing direct detection by the probe.
In particular, due to the position of the core device 20, when there is a gap between the second wall member 220 and the first base plate 110, or between the first wall member 120 and the second base plate 210 due to a welding problem, the external probe 90 must be bent twice to enter from the gap between the second wall member 220 and the first base plate 110, between the first wall member 120 and the second base plate 210, or between the first wall member 120 and the second wall member 220, which is basically impossible.
Therefore, the protection device 10 described above can well prevent the probing attack of the probe 90.
It will be appreciated that the wall members may be provided in a plurality, spaced apart from each other, and the first portion 100 and the second portion 200 may be staggered, so as to form more bending paths and provide better protection.
Further, the first base plate 110, the second base plate 210, the first wall member 120 and the second wall member 220 described above each include a PCB board layer.
With continued reference to fig. 2b, a protective wrap 40 may be provided in the PCB board layer. When an attacker attempts to use a puncture from the outside to pierce the probe 90 into the interior of the protective device 10, the protective wire 40 is broken, causing a protective action. The protective action may be to shut down the financial device, erase the data, even burn out, etc.
The protection winding 40 in the PCB panel may be provided in more than 2 layers. The protective winding 40 is wound in a manner to ensure that all possible puncture locations are covered as much as possible.
Further, the PCB board layer includes at least a 4-layer PCB board. The density of the coverage of the protection wire 40 is further increased.
The financial equipment protection device can be used for financial equipment to protect internal core devices related to core data. The core devices are integrated circuit chips, typically having data input and output pins on which signals are readily accessible by probe contacts.
A financial device comprising a core device 20 relating to core data and a protection device 10 as described above. The core device 20 relating to the core data is arranged within the first wall element 120 of the protection device 10. The financial device 20 may be a POS machine or the like that stores financial data relating to the user.
The financial device also includes attack detection circuitry (not shown) that is connected to the protection winding 40 and also to the core device 20. When the protection winding 40 is broken open, it is detected by the attack detection circuit, which immediately triggers a protection action. To ensure that data on the core device 20 is not lost.
The financial device using the above-described protection apparatus 10 can prevent direct detection by the probe since the core device 20 is placed in a closed space.
In particular, when a gap occurs between the second wall member 220 and the first base plate 110, between the first wall member 120 and the second base plate 210 due to a welding problem due to the position where the core device 20 is placed, the external probe 90 must be bent twice to enter from the gap between the second wall member 220 and the first base plate 110, between the first wall member 120 and the second base plate 210, and between the first wall member 120 and the second wall member 220, which is basically impossible.
Therefore, the financial device can prevent the probe from detecting well.
The above-mentioned embodiments only represent some embodiments of the present invention, and the description thereof is specific and detailed, but not to be construed as limiting the scope of the present invention. It should be noted that, for those skilled in the art, without departing from the spirit of the present invention, several variations and modifications can be made, which are within the scope of the present invention. Therefore, the protection scope of the present invention should be subject to the appended claims.
