Technical Field

Background
Generally, the protection level of the junction box for the motor is IP65 or IP54, which means that water, oil and dust cannot easily enter the inside of the junction box. However, operators in some low end product markets often do not use the glan head to close the glan head hole when installing the external power cable through the terminal block, which results in that external water can flow along the cable into the terminal block and finally into the motor, thereby possibly damaging the motor. Measures must be taken to prevent water from entering the interior of the motor. SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL

In order to clearly understand the technical features, objects, and effects of the present invention, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 and 2 schematically show a terminal box 100 according to the prior art, the terminal box 100 being primarily a terminal box for an electric machine. Which is typically located at the rear end cap of the motor, is disposed outside the housing 200 of the motor. In this fig. 1 and 2, a cover for closing the junction box housing 10 is removed in order to better show the structure of the interior of the junction box. The cable is extended from an outlet hole 30 for the power supply lead and the encoder lead provided in the housing 200 of the motor and connected to the connection terminal member 20. Wherein when the bottom 14 of the housing of the terminal block 100 is configured as one bottom wall 15 as shown in the drawing, the through-hole part 13 is configured as one through-hole 13 on the bottom wall 15.
At least one flange hole 11 penetrating the terminal box housing 10 is usually provided in the terminal box housing 10, and a cable for external use is inserted into the terminal box 100 through the flange hole 11 to be connected to the terminal block 20 and thus to electrically connect the motor. The glan head 12 should be used when the user is to use it exactly as specified by the manufacturer. A through hole in the glan head 12 is provided for the cable to pass through and then be connected to the glan head hole 11 for protection against water. In the domestic market, and particularly in the low end market, the actual operator will sometimes not use the glan head 12, but will connect the cable directly through the glan head hole 11. Thus, when water is present in the use environment, for example, when it rains outdoors, the water enters the inside of the terminal box 100 through the glan head hole 11, and further enters the inside of the motor through the through hole portion 13 and the outlet hole 30.

In order that water entering the interior of the terminal box 100 through the glan-head hole 11 does not pass directly through the through-hole 13 in the bottom 14 and into the interior of the housing 200 of the motor, the height H2 of the peripheral wall 40 is set such that the top of the peripheral wall 40 is higher than the lowest edge 111 of the glan-head hole 11 closest to the bottom 14. That is, the height H2 of the peripheral wall 40 as shown in the drawing is made larger than the distance H1 from the bottom 14 at the lowest edge 111 of the glan head hole 11. Thus, even if water enters the inside of the junction box 100 through the glan head hole 11, the water does not go over the top of the peripheral wall 40. Thus, even if the operator forgets to install the glan head, the peripheral wall 40 prevents water from entering the interior of the housing 200 of the motor in the presence of water. The peripheral wall 40 may be formed integrally with the bottom 14 of the terminal block case 10 or may be formed separately from the bottom 14. When the peripheral wall 40 and the base 14 are two separable and separate components, they may be attached to each other by bonding, welding, or the like. The peripheral wall 40 may be made of an elastic material such as rubber, plastic, etc., or may be made of a metal material.
Fig. 5 shows a terminal block 100 according to another embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 6 shows a terminal block 100 according to another embodiment of the present invention. Similarly, the top of the peripheral wall 40 should be higher than the lowest edge of the glan head hole 11. The peripheral wall 40 may be formed integrally with the housing 200 of the motor, or may be formed separately from the housing 200. While the peripheral wall 40 and the housing 200 may be two separable and separate parts, they may be attached to each other by bonding, welding, or the like. The peripheral wall 40 may be made of an elastic material such as rubber, plastic, etc., or may be made of a metal material.
Although not shown in the drawings, it is contemplated that the junction box 100 of the present invention may be used in other devices requiring a junction box besides a motor. 1. A terminal block (100) for a device, wherein an outlet hole (30) is provided in a housing (200) of the device;
the junction box (100) comprises:
a connection terminal member (20), the connection terminal member (20) being connectable to a cable extending from the outlet hole (30);
a junction box housing (10) comprising:
a wall portion (16) surrounding the terminal piece (20), wherein at least one Glan head hole (11) is provided on the wall portion (16),
a bottom (14) provided with a through hole portion (13) capable of communicating with the outlet hole (30) for passing through a cable extending from the outlet hole (30);
wherein,
a peripheral wall (40) is provided, which can surround the outlet opening (30), wherein the top of the peripheral wall (40) is higher than the edge (111) of the Glan head opening (11) which is closest to the bottom (14).

6. Junction box (100) according to claim 5, characterized in that the peripheral wall (40) is configured as an integral part with the housing (200) of the device or as a separately provided component from the housing (200) of the device.
7. Junction box (100) according to claim 3, characterized in that the peripheral wall (40) is configured to protrude from a bottom wall (15) of the junction box housing (10).
8. Junction box (100) according to claim 7, characterized in that the peripheral wall (40) is configured as an integral part with the bottom wall (15) or as a separately provided part from the bottom wall (15).
9. Junction box (100) according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the peripheral wall (40) is made of an elastic material, which is connected to the housing (200) or the bottom (14) of the device by gluing.
10. Junction box (100) according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the peripheral wall (40) is made of metal, which is connected to the housing (200) or to the bottom (14) of the device by gluing or welding.
11. An electrical machine comprising a junction box according to any one of claims 1 to 10.
