[0002] 锂离子动力电池具有较高的能量密度、良好的循环特性,因此广泛应用于混合动力汽车上,而其中圆柱形电池有着很高的应用比例。锂离子动力电池具有一定的使用温度,温度过高或是过低都会影响其工作性能和使用寿命。混合动力汽车在行驶时锂离子动力电池可能不断的出现大倍率的充放电,锂离子动力电池具有一定的内阻,所以在这个过程中锂离子动力电池会出现较严重的发热情况,其温度也会随着热量增加而升高。
[0003] 锂离子动力电池工作时发生的电化学反应对工作温度有一定要求,经过试验验证,锂离子动力电池在25°C至55°C温度范围内工作时具有良好的工作性能;而当工作温度超过该范围,尤其是高于65°C时电池能够释放的能量大幅降低,而且电池的使用寿命也明显下降。通过对圆柱形电池反应模型的虚拟分析和实际测量发现圆柱型电池在工作时主要发热部位为电池电极两端。
[0004] 现有的锂离子电池的冷却方式主要采用的风冷的热管理方式,风冷系统主要是利用风机提供动力使空气通过单体电池之间缝隙或是设立的风道,在空气流动过程中与发热元件(单体电池)进行热交换,带走热量,实现降温目的。风冷方式存在两点问题:第一,由于空气与单体电池之间的热交换效率较低,冷却效果低于水冷;第二,风冷空气的流向较难控制,难以对单体电池重点发热部位的着重降温,降低了冷却的均衡性。

[0020] (I)单体电池的电极位置是电池产生热量最大的位置,使用水冷板与电池极片绝缘导热连接,着重冷却单体电池的电极位置,使用水冷的方式,水的冷却效果比风的冷却效果好,并且冷却均匀;提高冷却效率。
[0021] (2)电池极片与水冷板通过绝缘材料制成的导热片导热,导热片较好地与电池极片贴合导热,导热效果好,有利于水冷板对单体电池进行冷却,提高冷却效果。
[0022] (3)使用相变导热绝缘材料制成的导热片,在温度升高到相变温度时,导热片发生变形,导热片尽量大的与单体电池的电极位置贴合导热,提高冷却效果。

[0027] 下面结合附图和实施例,对本实用新型的具体实施方式作进一步详细描述。以下实例用于说明本实用新型,但不用来限制本实用新型的范围。

[0029] 如图1至2所示,本实用新型的水冷式锂离子电池,包括保护壳1、底壳8、电池模块、两个导热片3a、3b及两个水冷板2a、2b,电池模块设置在保护壳I与底壳8构成的空间内,且位于中部位置,两个导热片3a、3b和两个水冷板2a、2b依次对称设置在电池模块的两侦牝导热片3a、3b由绝缘材料制成。保护壳I和/或底壳8上设有使电池模块与外部用电设备的连接的主电连接孔。具体的,电池模块包括两个电池极片4a、4b、第一套盖5、第二套盖7和多个单体电池6,单体电池6的电极分别设置在两端的位置;多个单体电池6相互平行,且整齐排列地套装于第一套盖5及第二套盖7内,第一套盖5和第二套盖7使用螺栓连接,并且单体电池6的端部穿透伸出第一套盖5及第二套盖7外,使多个单体电池6整齐排列,即多个单体电池6的端部位于相同的平面内。电池极片4a位于单体电池6的左端部的电极位置,电池极片4b位于单体电池6的右端部的电极位置,单体电池6夹设在电池极片4a和电池极片4b之间,且电极分别与电池极片4a和电池极片4b相连接。电池极片4a、4b与电极通过焊接的方式相连接,通过电池极片4a、4b将多个单体电池6相互串联和/或并联连接,达到所需的电压,多个单体电池6之间的连接方式为现有的常规技术,并且与本实用新型的发明点没有关系,在此不再赘述。导热片3a、3b和水冷板2a、2b依次设置在两个电池极片4a、4b的外侧,水冷板2a、2b与电池极片4a、4b通过导热片3a、3b绝缘导热连接。具体的,导热片3a、3b设置在电池极片4a、4b与水冷板2a、2b之间,如图2所示,导热片3a的一面与电池极片4a的外侧相贴合,导热片3a的另一面与水冷板2a相贴合;导热片3b的一面与电池极片4b的外侧相贴合,导热片3b的另一面与水冷板2b相贴合。导热片3a、3b与电池极片4a、4b及水冷板2a、2b之间采用夹持或者胶接的方式使三者较好的贴合在一起,形成较好的绝缘导热连接。如图3所示,优选的,水冷板2a、2b均为一个铝制的中空壳体,并设有进水管21及出水管22,在中空壳体外设置有用于与外部水管连接的进水管21及出水管22,在中空壳体内设有与进水管21及出水管22连接的铜管。保护壳I和底壳8上分别设有管孔(未标注,即图1中进水管和出水管伸出保护盖I的位置),水冷板2a、2b的进水管21和出水管22穿透管孔与外部水管连接。在使用时,外部水管的冷水从进水管21流入水冷板2a、2b,并从出水管22流出,从而进行热交换,带走由单体电池6通过导热片3a、3b传递给水冷板2a、2b的热量,使单体电池6的温度降低,防止单体电池6的温度过高。另夕卜,水冷板也可以采用绝缘材料制成,使水冷板与电池极片绝缘导热连接。
[0030] 使用时,单体电池6的端部的电极部位大量发热,热量由导热片3a、3b传送给水冷板2a、2b,外部水管的冷水通过进水管21流入水冷板2a、2b,并从出水管22流到外部水管,使水冷板2a、2b与导热片3a、3b进行热交换,冷却导热片3a、3b及单体电池6,防止单体电池6的温度过度的升高,使单体电池6处于最佳的工作温度之下。使用水冷的方式,冷却效果比风冷的效果好。在单体电池的电极部位对单体电池6进行冷却,提高了电池散热的均衡性。单体电池的电极与水冷板绝缘导热连接,水冷板对单体电池的电极位置进行水冷,提高冷却速度和效果。
[0031] 优选的,导热片3a、3b由相变导热绝缘材料制成。相变导热绝缘材料,具有良好散热能力。相变导热绝缘材料在大约45〜50°C时会发生相变,并在压力作用下流进并填充发热体和散热器之间的不规则间隙,挤走空气,以形成良好导热的界面。在导热片3a、3b的温度达到45〜50°C时,相变导热绝缘材料制成的导热片3a、3b发生变形,挤压到单体电池6的端部空隙内,与单体电池6更好的接触,导热效果迅速提升。导热片3a、3b的尺寸大于电池极片4a、4b的尺寸。导热片3a、3b稍大于电池极片4a、4b,使导热片3a、3b能够更好的覆盖电池极片4a、4b,导热效果更好。相变导热绝缘材料在电池模块使用中保持10%至20%的压缩量,保证导热片与电池极片以及水冷板之间较好地贴合,保证散热的传导面积。同时,在使用过程中,由于热胀冷缩的原理,各个部件在温度升高时,也会相应地膨胀,使相变导热绝缘材料制成的导热片受到更大的压缩,导热片更好的与单体电池接触,导热效果更好,从而提升散热效果。
[0032] 优选的,如图2所示,单体电池6为圆柱形单体电池,圆柱形单体电池整齐排列,圆柱形单体电池排列后,相互之间留有较大的间隙,使相变导热绝缘材料制成的导热片3a、3b更好的挤入单体电池6的端部间隙,更大范围的冷却单体电池6,降低单体电池6的温度。[0033] 优选的,水冷板2a、2b分别固定在保护壳I及底壳8的内侧。保护壳I与底壳8通过螺栓组件连接,向内压合,使水冷板2a、2b紧压导热片3a、3b,导热片3a、3b更好的与电池极片4a、4b及水冷板2a、2b相贴合,导热片3a、3b的导热效果增强。
[0034] 在锂离子电池或多个串联的锂离子电池中,各水冷板采用并联的方式与外部水管连接,以保证散热的均匀性;导热片的压缩使用保证了较大的接触导热面积,水的高导热能力保证了电池模块的散热能力;水冷板贴近单体电池的电极,单体电池发热最大处,也保证了散热的均匀和高效。
