工作时，将底座1固定安装在机床工作台上，根据工件的尺寸选择合适的芯轴3，将芯轴3安装在底座1的轴孔2中，需加工的工件放置在芯轴3上，丝杆4置于芯轴3中部，旋紧压板5，即可完成工件的360度旋转加工。
