为实现上述目的，本实用新型的技术方案是设计一种冰箱冻层变厚自动通知装置，包括设置于冰箱冷冻柜上的红外线发射部件、红外线感应常开开关、电池、喇叭，红外线感应常开开关、电池、喇叭依次电线闭合连接，红外线发射部件、红外线感应常开开关的工作面相对且位于冷冻柜的同一高度。
当冻层较薄时，红外线发射部件发射红外线、红外线感应常开开关接收红外线，红外线感应常开开关处于断路的状态；当冻层变厚，红外线发射部件发射红外线被冻层阻挡，红外线感应常开开关无法接收到红外线，红外线感应常开开关处于闭合的状态，喇叭接通电池，发出报警声。
优选的，红外线感应常开开关和电池间设有手动开关，可以手动选择关闭报警。
