本实用新型所设计的一种双照明路灯,它主要包括灯杆和灯源,在灯杆顶端的两侧分别通过连接杆设有两个灯源,在灯源上设有反光罩,反光罩的朝向为远离灯杆方向斜向下,在反光罩端面上设有透明防护罩。这种双照明路灯,在灯杆顶部设有两个灯源,可增加路灯的亮度,同时在每个灯源上均设有反光罩,且反光罩的方向倾斜向外,可增加光照范围。在道路上使用,在不增加投入成本及路灯数量的情况下,可使路面能全部被路灯照射到,避免在两路灯的中间位置无法照明的情况的产生,可改善驾驶员的视线,减少交通事故的发生。另外,透明防护罩的设置,可有效的防止灯源受外界环境因素的影响,提高灯源的使用寿命,进一步降低路灯的使用成本。

现有的路灯在照明时亮度不高,每个路灯的照射范围较小,而且由于道路条件及设施成本的局限性,道路的路灯的设置的间隔距离较长,造成在两个路灯的中间位置处无法被照明,严重影响夜间行车驾驶员的视线,容易引发交通事故。另外,这种忽亮忽暗的灯光容易引起驾驶员眼睛疲劳,对驾驶员身体造成一定的影响。
