采用上述结构后，使用时，可将弧形网状凹面插入勺体内，舀取时，固体食物会隔离在弧形网状凹面内，液体会流入勺体内，人们可选择食用，吸取液体时，可从缺口处喝，也可打开保护帽，利用通孔吸取，非常方便，勺把末端向内弯折，可挂在碗边，防止滑落。
