一般盛装食物盘主要是由陶瓷或金属制成,而目前人们使用的这类食物盘子其设计均为单层设计,因此当盘内盛满热食时,其热量直接传到外层,一方面致使盘内的食品很容易变凉,特别是在冬天,刚装入盘的食物,需要保温时,转瞬间热量即流失掉;另一方面,单层的设计也使得,盘内装入太烫的食品时,其热量快速传递,所以即刻端盘子时,也很容易烫手。
