Abstract

本实用新型公开了一种电连接器,其可与具一定厚度的PCB板电性对接,所述电连接器具有一收容前述PCB板的长腔及设于长腔一纵长侧边的若干导电端子,所述长腔具有较PCB板厚度大的第一高度,所述长腔的两纵长末端设有高度与PCB板厚度相当的板收容槽,所述若干导电端子可在PCB板装入后弹性压接于PCB板上。该电连接器借助板收容槽直接达成与电路板的配接,简化了制造装配过程,同时还可以兼容标准的Serial ATA电连接器。

【技术领域】
本实用新型关于一种电连接器,尤指一种具有收容腔的电连接器。
【背景技术】
请参阅美国专利公告US6764344所揭示的一种Serial ATA(串行高级技术附件,一种基于行业标准的串行硬件驱动器接口)电连接器,该电连接器的绝缘本体成型有较标准界面稍薄的L状舌片,导电端子部分则一体成型于硬盘驱动器的PCB板(印刷电路板)边缘,组装时导电端子部分的电路板堆叠于L状舌片上,整体形成标准的Serial ATA界面,藉以实现与对接连接器的配接,从而优化电连接器的制造和装配流程。
然而,在该电连接器总体大大简化电连接器结构的同时,由于电路板边缘仍需要设计组装一个并不具实际电连接器功能的绝缘本体以与满足对接连接器的配接需求,造成了一定程度的制造装配冗余。
鉴于此,实有必要提供一种改进的电连接器,以克服上述缺陷。
【实用新型内容】
本实用新型目的在于提供一种电连接器,尤指一种可简化制造装配的电连接器。
为此,本实用新型提供了一种电连接器,包括绝缘本体和收容于绝缘本体的若干导电端子,所述绝缘本体包括一前壁面及自该前壁面凹陷形成的收容腔,所述收容腔包括作为主收容部的长腔及与该长腔垂直相通的短腔,所述长腔具有第一高度,所述导电端子和短腔设置于长腔的同一侧,所述长腔的两纵长末端各开设有高度较第一高度小的板收容槽,所述导电端子弹性凸入所述长腔。
本实用新型还提供一种电连接器,其可与具一定厚度的PCB板电性对接,所述电连接器具有一收容前述PCB板的长腔及设于长腔一纵长侧边的若干导电端子,所述长腔具有较PCB板厚度大的第一高度,所述长腔的两纵长末端设有高度与PCB板厚度相当的板收容槽,所述若干导电端子可在PCB板装入后弹性压接于PCB板上。
相对于现有技术,本实用新型电连接器具有以下优点:所述长腔的两纵长末端各开设的较第一高度小的板收容槽及弹性凸入所述长腔,可以省去套装于电路板上的绝缘本体,借助板收容槽直接达成与电路板的配接,解决常用对接电路板因较该标准的第一高度薄而不能实现对接和稳定电性连接的问题,同时也简化了制造装配过程。此外,该设计还可以兼容标准的Serial ATA电连接器。

【具体实施方式】
请参阅图1至图3,本实用新型提供的实施例为一种Serial ATA电连接器100,可供一PCB板200对接。所述电连接器100包括绝缘本体1和收容于绝缘本体1的导电端子2。所述绝缘本体1包括一前壁面10及自该前壁面10向后凹陷形成的收容腔11,所述收容腔11包括作为主收容部的长腔111及与该长腔111垂直相通的短腔113,所述长腔111具有符合Serial ATA标准的第一高度h1,所述导电端子2和短腔113设置于长腔111的同一侧。长腔111的中部非对称位置设有一隔部115,该隔部115将长腔111区分为两段,对应的PCB板200之板接部201也因应形成两段式,并利用该非对称隔部115辅助防呆。
请参阅图2,所述长腔111的两纵长末端开设有板收容槽117,所述板收容槽117具有较长腔111的第一高度h1小的第二高度h2,以收容厚度与该第二高度h2相当的板接部201。所述导电端子2弹性凸入所述长腔111,同时所述板收容槽117设置于靠近导电端子2的一侧,以更好地保持电性接触。所述隔部115上还进一步设有与板收容槽117位于同一直线上的辅助板收容槽119,以协助收容和支撑PCB板200之板接部201。
请参阅图3,PCB板200之板接部201与电连接器100配接时,所述板接部201两端缘分别收容于板收容槽117中,隔部115上设置的辅助板收容槽119也可以协助收容所述板接部201,共同保证板接部201与导电端子2稳定的弹性压接。此外,由于本实用新型系通过在SerialATA标准界面上去除部分材料的方法实现,不会对标准的Serial ATA对接连接器互配产生干涉或其他的阻碍,在对接界面变更为标准的Serial ATA连接器时,亦可实现兼容。
请参阅图1及图4,其中图4所示为本实用新型的第二实施例,所述电连接器100’主体架构与前一实施例相同,区别在于其长腔111’的中部没有被隔开,整体呈一字形相通。长腔111’的两纵长末端开设有可收容PCB板之板接部(未图示)的板收容槽117。较之前一实施例板接部201的两段式设计,借助辅助板收容槽119来实现板接部201中部更好的支撑,该第二实施例因板接部(未图示)没有被隔断开,从而保留了较好的刚性,并通过长腔111’纵长两侧的板收容槽117’完成对接。
本实用新型的技术内容和技术特点已揭示如上,然而熟悉本领域的技术人员仍可能基于本实用新型的教示及揭示进行种种不背离其精神的替换和修饰。因此,本实用新型的保护范围应不限于实施方式所揭示的内容,而包括各种不背离本实用新型的替换和修饰,均为本实用新型所涵盖。

Claims (9)

1.一种电连接器,包括绝缘本体和收容于绝缘本体的若干导电端子,所述绝缘本体包括一前壁面及自该前壁面凹陷形成的收容腔,所述收容腔包括作为主收容部的长腔及与该长腔垂直相通的短腔,所述长腔具有第一高度,所述导电端子和短腔设置于长腔的同一侧,其特征在于:所述长腔的两纵长末端各开设有高度较第一高度小的板收容槽,所述导电端子弹性凸入所述长腔。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述板收容槽用以收容PCB板。
3.如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述板收容槽设于靠近导电端子的一侧。
4.如权利要求1至3中任一项所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述长腔中部设有一隔部,该隔部将长腔区分为两段,隔部上进一步设有辅助板收容槽。
5.如权利要求4所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述电连接器可与标准的Serial ATA对接连接器互配。
6.一种电连接器,其可与具一定厚度的PCB板电性对接,所述电连接器具有一收容前述PCB板的长腔及设于长腔一纵长侧边的若干导电端子,所述长腔具有较PCB板厚度大的第一高度,其特征在于:所述长腔的两纵长末端设有高度与PCB板厚度相当的板收容槽,所述若干导电端子可在PCB板装入后弹性压接于PCB板上。
7.如权利要求6所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述电连接器还包括与所述长腔垂直相通的短腔,所述短腔与所述导电端子设置于长腔的同一侧。
8.如权利要求6或7所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述长腔中部设有一隔部,该隔部将长腔区分为两段,隔部上进一步设有辅助板收容槽。
9.如权利要求8所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述电连接器可与标准的Serial ATA对接连接器互配。
