以往未经封边处理的木质板式家具产品，使用一段时间后，往往会因为外界温度、湿度及使用过程中的水浸泡，使木质材质爆胀开口或裂纹，板材类家具更易出现这种问题，对于学校的课桌来说因为使用频率较高，加之一些学生对其珍惜程度不够，造成破损率持续很高，给学校的维护造成很高的成本，因此急需一种可以防水、防潮及防湿的课桌以保证其正常的使用寿命。
