采用上述结构后，人们晾晒衣服时，可将底座抽屉内的衣架取出，将衣架挂放在横杆表面的透孔内，即可起到防风的作用；不使用晾衣杆时，可将横杆的长度缩至最短，以减少占有的空间，便于存放。
