Description

技术领域
本实用新型涉及用于内燃发动机的排气再循环回路。
背景技术
排气再循环(EGR)系统或回路用来使车辆燃料效率最大化且减少车辆排气系统的有害排放。随着车辆排放规定变得更加严格,车辆需要变得更加“绿色”,不断需要减少排放特别是来自发动机尤其是柴油发动机的NOx气体。减少排气排放的一个方法是使用与排气再循环结合的催化转换器,在排气再循环中使用高排气背压使排气歧管中的排气流向进气歧管。在排放上的更严格的规定的问题是产生足够的回流必须增加排气背压,这会开始影响燃料效率。来自排气歧管的再循环的另一个缺点是再循环的气体可以包含碳烟、水蒸气及未使用的燃料,从而会污染安装的排气冷却系统和进气歧管。此外,若存在由于系统泄漏造成的故障、EGR故障等,则这会导致其他构件如微粒过滤器或催化转化器上的过载。
通常,涡轮增压柴油发动机的EGR系统在涡轮增压器涡轮使排气再循环到进气歧管之前使用较高的压力差。这不总是足以减少NOx排放。或者,可以在EGR系统中使用机械泵,但这些增加了发动机上的操作负荷。
其他的EGR系统从涡轮增压器涡轮的下游抽取再循环的排气通过微粒过滤器,然后供应气体到主涡轮增压器的前部以流向汽缸。该系统的缺点是气流量不足以减少NOx排放。

下面通过实例参考附图描述本实用新型。
现参考图1,示出机动车辆的内燃发动机10的示意图。本实用新型可以应用于柴油发动机和汽油发动机。本示例的图1中所示的发动机是柴油发动机。内燃发动机10具有多个汽缸11,在该示例中为六汽缸,但也可以是设置在V型配置中的任何期望数目的汽缸。

排气通过排气再循环(EGR)回路或排气再循环系统40再循环回到新鲜空气供应系统。EGR系统40包括具有通道41的较长的环形EGR回路,该通道41通过排气流泵42使微粒过滤器21下游的排气通道31与新鲜空气供应系统相互连接。排气流泵42进而通过通道43连接到新鲜空气供应通道12A。通道41通过位于排气流泵42上游的中间冷却器47和EGR阀48。若需要的话中间冷却器47典型地包括水/空气中间冷却器或空气/空气中间冷却器。EGR阀48开启或关闭较长的环形EGR系统。
排气流泵42优选地为小输出量涡轮增压器(small output turbocharger)的形式,该涡轮增压器的涡轮44通过来自排气歧管支路18B的排气驱动。排气流泵42在其压缩机叶轮45处应产生足够的低压以从排气通道31抽取产生所需的排气流率。通过由旁通阀52控制的排气旁路51可以限制来自压缩机45的输出。若需要的话,从压缩机叶轮45通过通道43到新鲜空气供应系统的气流可以通过又一个中间冷却器46,及第一再循环阀49。来自压缩机45的排气可以通过通道54和第二再循环阀55再循环回到压缩机45。
当不需要较长的环形EGR时,可以关闭阀48,然而排气流泵42的涡轮44仍旋转,来自压缩机45的气体将再循环。
较长的环形EGR的附加的益处是再循环的排气清洁而不含碳烟和燃料,从而大幅度减少污垢、改进耐用性。相比较于常规的较短的环形EGR系统可较大地冷却提供到发动机的EGR气体,这对相同的再循环排气质量流率可以减少多至20-30%的NOx排放。当混合发生在主涡轮增压器14的压缩机叶轮15中以及在进气歧管之前的通道的长度内时,将确保EGR与进入到发动机中的新鲜空气的混合。因为EGR现配置到主涡轮增压器压缩机叶轮的前部,主涡轮增压器单元将以改进的效率操作,这改进燃料经济性。
另外,相对于标准的较短的环形EGR回路,该主涡轮增压器单元的瞬态响应可得到改进,在标准的较短的环形EGR回路中当启用较短的环形EGR时,通过压缩机叶轮的空气质量流量较少。在EGR系统故障的情况下,该系统相对于较短的环形EGR系统进一步具有两个优点,因为在较长的环形EGR上可以在不同的位置监测EGR气体,从而可以发现任何与正常情况的偏离。在过载的微粒过滤器的情况下,可以产生较高的排气系统背压,EGR流率不受影响,而较短的环形EGR不可避免地增加EGR流率。这增加了该系统的稳健性以防止进一步的系统损坏。
当不使用较长的EGR回路且关闭在通道41中的EGR阀48时,来自压缩机45的气流经通道54再循环,其中第一再循环阀49关闭,第二再循环阀55开启。
作为后备,该EGR系统还包括具有从排气歧管支路18B经包含中间冷却器57和第二EGR阀58的通道连接至进气歧管16的通道56的常规的较短回路,以便通过阀58开启/关闭较短的回路。阀48、49、52、55及58由合适的耐高温材料制成,典型地为通常用于排气再循环阀的类型的抗腐蚀金属化合物。
阀48、49、52、55及58可由可编程ECU 23(发动机控制单元)可操作地控制,该可编程ECU 23连接到燃料喷射器(未示出)和多个示意性地示出为传感器28的其他发动机工况传感器。发动机工况传感器28可以包括但不限于监测以下工况的传感器,如发动机位置、发动机转速、歧管静态压力、进入歧管的质量空气流量、发动机温度、空气温度、凸轮轴位置(进气和排气)、进气歧管调节阀、大气压力、EGR量、VCT位置、扭矩需求、挡位位置等。阀的状况即开启/关闭可以取决于各种感测的工况和要求的发动机控制通过可编程ECU 28控制。

排气歧管18通过通道131连接到排气流泵42的涡轮。离开排气流泵42的涡轮44的气体通过通道31供应到上述主涡轮增压器14的涡轮22。排气然后通过柴油氧化催化器19和微粒过滤器21。
同样,通过从微粒过滤器21的下游延伸到排气流泵42上的压缩机45的低压侧的通道41提供较长的EGR回路。来自压缩机45的气体通过上述通道43泵送到新鲜空气供应通道12A。通过在EGR通道43和涡轮44下游的通道41之间连接的旁通通道154提供用于排气流泵42的涡轮44的速度限制器。来自排气流泵42的EGR气体泵送到上述新鲜空气供应通道12A,并同样在EGR阀48关闭的情况下通过阀49、55和通道154提供再循环回路。
