由于在刀体下端设有一段锯齿形刀刃口，使水果刀能轻易的切开比较硬的水果和瓜果的壳，由于在刀体上设有刨刀体，使水果到能刨各种果皮，由于在刨刀体刀背上设有开瓶起子，起到开启瓶盖的功能，由于刀柄由两片相对应的夹片组成，使刀柄具有夹毛和挂刀的功能，操作快捷使用既方便又省时，且结构简单、生产成本低廉。
