when the received music is the favorite music of the mobile communication terminal user and the music is ready to be used as the incoming call ringtone, the mobile terminal user determines to process the received FM signal (see steps 302 and 303), at this time, the user can input a command for processing the FM signal through the key input unit 109, and can press a recording key arranged on the key input unit 109 to inform the central processor 101 to start processing the received FM signal;
under the control of the central processing unit 101, the codec 103a in the data signal processor 103 encodes the audio signal and compresses it into compressed audio data; then, the compressed audio data is buffered in the buffer 103b (see step 303);
determine whether the storage space of the music file storage 104 is sufficient (see step 304), i.e., determine whether the storage space ≧ MinSize (minimum storage space)?
If the judgment result is large enough, the compressed audio data in the buffer memory 103b is stored into the music file memory 104 under the control of the digital signal processor 103 (see step 305);
further processing of the frequency modulated signal is required (see step 306), and steps 303-305 may be repeated.
If the user does not need to process the frequency modulation signal, the processing of the frequency modulation signal can be stopped when the recording stop button is pressed (see step 306);
if the result of the determination in step 304 is that the storage space is insufficient, the frequency modulated signal cannot be processed further, and at this time, a prompt message is displayed on the display 110 to prompt the user that the storage space is insufficient and the frequency modulated signal cannot be processed, that is, the recording cannot be performed, the process goes to step 306;

sending the compressed audio data in the buffer 103b to the codec 103a for decoding (see step 503);
then, the decoded audio data is sent to the speaker 107 as an incoming call alert tone to be output (see step 504).
In addition, if the received short message is received, under the control of the central processing unit 101, directly reading the specified compressed audio data from the music file memory 502 into the buffer memory 103b of the digital signal processor DSP103 (see step 502); sending the compressed audio data in the buffer 103b to the codec 103a for decoding (see step 503); finally, the decoded audio data is sent to the speaker 107 as a short message alert tone for output (see step 504).
