技术领域
本发明涉及光源,并具体涉及固态光源。更为具体地,本发明涉及使用发光二极管的光源,这种光源能够被用作车辆的前方照明系统。
背景技术
由于LED灯寿命长以及合理的功率需求,其作为更普通的白炽型灯的替代物已经获得了接受。这些使用具体地出现在汽车产业中,其中,使用LED的灯已经被用作尾灯和刹车灯,例如中央高位刹车灯(CHMSL)所需要的。如果LED能用于汽车的前方照明,将实现更多的优点;但是,车头灯要采用LED灯已经被如下的原因变得复杂:即提供充分照明所必需的LED的数目,以及透镜和/或多个导光管或光纤的复杂性,其中多个导光管或光纤是用于加倍点光源亮度所必需的,以此获得现有技术的白炽灯泡和电弧放电灯泡的亮度。
发明内容
因此,本发明的一个目的在于消除现有技术的缺点。
本发明的另一目的在于增强车辆的前方照明系统。
本发明的又一目的在于以合理的成本实现前述目的。
本发明的一方面,由一种虚点光源完成了这些目的,该虚点光源包括:具有轴的支架;布置在所述支架上的多个单独发光二极管(LED);以及与每个所述发光二极管关联的单独的光学器件,每个所述的单独光学器件将来自与其关联的发光二极管的光聚焦到所述轴上的虚点上,该虚点在距所述支架一定距离处。
提供的用于LED的单独光学器件允许所有的来自多个LED的发射的光被引向单个焦点,其中能够提供诸如投影透镜或菲涅耳透镜的适当的透镜,以随意地引导光。

具体实施方式
为了更好地理解本发明,以及其中的其它和更多的目的、优点和性能,下面将结合上述的附图来参阅下面的公开内容和所附的权利要求。
下面将更具体地介绍附图,如图1所示,虚点光源10包括具有轴14的支架12。单独的发光二极管16围绕支架的外围布置在支架12上,且单独光学器件18与每个LED相关联。每个单独光学器件18都将来自与其关联的发光二极管16的光聚焦到虚点20上,该虚点20位于轴14上,且在距支架12的表面15的距离为D的地方。
支架12优选为导热性好的圆形印刷电路板,该支架12包括电路22(由图2示意地所示),以用于将电源提供给发光二极管16。
在本发明的优选实施例中,LED 16布置在圆形支架12的外围24,且单独光学器件18包括单件固体结构。尽管能够使用玻璃光学器件,但优选的是使用光学级塑料,例如丙烯酸树脂或聚碳酸酯。
如附图所示,光学器件18包括:邻接LED 16的第一反射部分18a,用于开始集中光束的第二反射部分18b,以及将光束向虚点20聚焦的第三部分18c。位于距离轴具有共同位移处的二极管16可以使用相似的光学器件18。如果在轴上使用了二极管16,则可使用光学器件19,该光学器件19消除了第二部分并使用会聚透镜19a。
如果因为驱动LED16的功率需求而是期望的或者必要的,散热器30可被连接成与支架12保持热相关。
为了形成具体的光输出,适当的透镜(图中未示出),例如投影透镜或菲涅耳透镜或这样的透镜的焦点,可以布置成与虚点10相邻。
因此提供了一种小的、便利的固态光源,它能用于汽车的前方照明。多个单独的LED分散放置以进行更好地散热,同时发射的光被集中以用于提高亮度和光束控制。所有使用的多个LED都将它们单独的光输出引向虚点,以模拟现有技术使用白炽单元或电弧放电单元的光源;但是,本发明所提供的光源具有更长的寿命,并且更加坚固。虽然虚光源10能够给光导管或其它光纤提供照明,但是因为虚点光源处的光输出能够直接供给色散透镜,所以这种元件不是必需的。
尽管已经示出和描述了目前被认为是本发明的最佳实施例,但是在未背离由所附的权利要求所限定的发明范围的情况下,能够对本发明进行多种变化和修改,这对于本领域技术人员而言是显而易见的。

Claims (6)

1.一种虚点光源,包括:
具有轴的支架;
布置在所述支架上的多个单独发光二极管;以及
与每个所述发光二极管关联的单独光学器件,每个所述单独光学器件将来自与其关联的发光二极管的光聚焦到共同的虚点上,所述虚点在距所述支架一定距离处。
2.如权利要求1所述的虚点光源,其中所述支架包括用于将电源提供给所述发光二极管的电路。
3.如权利要求2所述的虚点光源,其中所述支架为圆形。
4.如权利要求3所述的虚点光源,其中至少一些所述发光二极管被布置在所述圆形支架的外围。
5.如权利要求4所述的虚点光源,其中每个所述单独光学器件都包括单件固体结构。
6.如权利要求1所述的虚点光源,其中所述虚点在所述轴上。
