Description
发明背景
本发明涉及除去固体燃料燃烧产物(包括烟道气)中的汞的装置和方法,更具体地说,本发明涉及除去煤燃烧的烟道气中的元素汞或汞化合物的装置和方法。
活性炭吸附汞蒸气的用途已在各种应用(例如城市垃圾焚化)中得到成功的验证。然而垃圾焚化炉的汞的浓度与燃煤电厂的汞的浓度相比显著不同,燃煤电厂的汞的浓度大概要低10-100倍。而且垃圾焚化炉产生的汞通常以氯化汞的形态,而燃煤电厂产生的汞通常呈元素汞的形式。这些差异使除去燃煤电厂烟道气中的汞更加困难。
活性炭的利用率受较大颗粒尺寸和低表面积的限制,这些因素限制汞的吸附。用平均颗粒尺寸约5微米而最高尺寸约10微米的活性炭会提高汞俘获效率,但贮存、装卸、运输和分散这些物品是极其困难的。因此,在燃煤电厂用活性炭俘获汞过于昂贵。在这类应用中,活性碳的利用率相当低,碳与汞的最小摩尔比为10,000比1。
已提出用于俘获烟道气中的汞的另一种形式的碳是炭黑。炭黑是烃燃料不完全燃烧或热分解所生成的碳的细分形式。炭黑的最普通形式称为炉黑或烟灰,它通过天然气或石油在封闭炉中与完全燃烧所需空气的约50%的空气燃烧制得。炭黑的外表面积是活性炭的外表面积的约100倍。与活性炭相比,这可使有效汞俘获的C/Hg摩尔比显著下降。由于炭黑的市场价格与活性炭的相似,有可能使成本显著降低。

用于俘获焚化炉的汞到俘获燃煤电厂的汞的基于炭黑和活性炭的现有技术方法的应用的另一个问题是垃圾焚化炉有很高的氯水平,烟道气中的汞主要以前述的氯化汞的形式存在。燃煤电厂中所述汞通常是以元素形式。虽然炭黑和活性炭对氯化汞的吸附有较高的亲合力,但它们对元素汞的吸附亲合力较低。
发明概述

优选实施方案的详述
图1所示为用于将燃料(即煤形式的固体矿物燃料)转化为所要求的能量形式的示例性燃料转化安排。图1所示的示例性燃料转化安排通过煤的燃烧实现所述燃料转化,并用典型的100MWe燃煤工厂10进行说明,所述燃煤工厂10燃烧约40吨/小时的煤并产生约350,000标准立方米/小时的烟道气流12。原煤14进料入磨煤机/粉碎机16,其中所述原煤被粉碎为微粒大小。一次空气将所述煤微粒从磨煤机/粉碎机16运送至锅炉18,在此处煤燃烧使水转化成蒸汽。离开所述锅炉/炉18的所述烟道气温度为1400到2200°F。所述烟道气在进入空气预热器22之前在过热器和对流通道20(节热器/再热器)中冷却至约600到800°F。离开空气预热器22并进入静电沉降器(ESP)/织物过滤器24的烟道气温度为220到370°F。如果汞俘获的吸着剂要求量为1lb./MMacf,则需要注入约20lb/hr的吸着剂。对5lb/MMacf(120mg/Nm3),所述吸着剂要求量是100lb/hr。

卤素处理对汞脱除的影响见图6和表1。图6表明用碘(0到2.5%重量)处理煤吸着剂28显著提高吸着剂性能。用未经碘处理的“细”煤吸着剂可脱除约10%的汞,而用2.0%的碘添加到“细”煤吸着剂可脱除约95%的汞。表1显示卤素处理对炭黑吸着剂和活性炭吸着剂的影响。对表面积为100m2/g的炭黑和烟道气中吸着剂的浓度为50mg/Nm3而言,向吸着剂28加入碘(处理后碳中的I2为1%)将汞脱除性能从20%提高到100%。对烟道气中吸着剂溶度为100mg/Nm3的活性炭而言,向吸着剂加入碘(处理后碳中的I2为1%)将汞脱除性能从75%提高到90%。

离开分离装置34的空气静压约为5-10英寸水标。该静压头可能不足以经喷枪输送和分配吸着剂28至烟道气管道。如图1所示,可在分离装置34后放置“脏空气”材料处理风扇/鼓风机64以提高吸着剂输送和分配的静压头。优选约30英寸水标的静压头。

根据本发明的除去元素汞或汞化合物系统的第二个实施方案和图2所示的在下文中被指定为除去元素汞或汞化合物的系统69中,将部分在磨煤机16中粉碎过的煤于磨煤机出口的区域70提取为吸着剂28。在区域70提取的煤优选为10到1000lb/hr(送入锅炉的全部煤的约0.01-1.0%),更优选为50到500lb/hr,最优选为100到200lb/hr。需要鼓风机72提供必要的原动力以运送提取的吸着剂固体28。
对提取的吸着剂固体28进行一种或多种处理。可用溶液50在区域74喷雾吸着剂固体28以在吸着剂颗粒28的表面沉积卤素。溶液50选自碘化钾、溶于碘化钾的碘、碱金属卤化物(例如NaCl)和卤化物盐(例如CaCl2)或卤酸(例如HCl、HI、HBr、HF)水溶液。典型添加量的吸着剂28中的卤素浓度为约0到5%。随后将经处理的吸着剂28沿通道76输送到分离装置34。
卤素58(例如氯、溴、碘或氟)也可沉积于吸着剂上,通过在气化室60中将卤素气化并将其冷凝/吸附于吸着剂上。气化卤素可在区域78注入鼓风机72和分离装置34之间的吸着剂28,或注入离开分离装置34的”细粒”和去凝集颗粒。
可在分离装置34后放置“脏空气”材料处理风扇/鼓风机64以提高吸着剂传输和分配的静压头。去凝集吸着剂28和输送空气/蒸汽经类似于第一个实施方案26中的那种分配器的分配器68注入烟道气管道。吸着剂28可注入到锅炉18和对流通道/过热器20之间、对流通道/过热器20和空气预热器22之间,或空气预热器22和ESP/织物过滤器24之间的烟道气流12中。
根据本发明的除去元素汞或汞化合物系统的第三个实施方案和图3所示在下文中被指定为除去元素汞或汞化合物的系统80中,将部分在磨煤机16中粉碎过的煤也于磨煤机出口的区域82提取为吸着剂28.在区域82提取的煤优选为10到1000lb/br(送入锅炉的全部煤的约0.01到1.0%),更优选为50到500lb/hr,最优选为100到200lb/hr.需要鼓风机84提供必要的原动力以运送提取的吸着剂固体28.
所提取的煤在炭生成反应器86中在300-1500℃下部分燃烧。限制所述炭生成器86的空气供应而仅获得煤的部分燃烧,优选只有煤的挥发性部分进行部分燃烧。因此,空气量优选控制在煤完全燃烧所需空气量的0.3到1.0倍,更优选在煤完全燃烧所需空气量的0.5到0.7倍。
沿炭生成器86的通道88出来的固体和气体的高温在下游冷却区90中降低。可用水骤冷或空气-、水-或蒸汽-冷却热交换器冷却所述气体和固体。离开冷却区90的所述气体和固体的温度优选约300℃或更低。
随后将经冷却的气体和固体(炭)沿通道92输送至颗粒分离器94,优选旋风分离器。含部分细颗粒的分离出的气体在区域96排放至主锅炉18以确保未燃的烃和其它易燃物(如一氧化碳和碳)完全燃烧。经颗粒分离器94分离出的颗粒28沿通道98送入筒仓100。或者,吸着剂颗粒28可沿通道102排放至氧化器单元104,在此处颗粒28与氧化剂42(例如臭氧、过氧化氢、热空气、浓硝酸)接触使颗粒的外表面亲水。经处理的吸着剂随后沿通道98排放至筒仓100。
随着吸着剂28沿通道106从筒仓100输送至烟道气流12,卤素沉积到吸着剂颗粒28的外表面。在一个选择中,吸着剂颗粒28输送至混合器48,在此处将溶液50喷到吸着剂颗粒28上以使卤素沉积至吸着剂颗粒28的表面。溶液50选自碘化钾、溶于碘化钾的碘、碱金属卤化物(例如NaCl)和卤化物盐(例如CaCl2)或卤酸(例如HCl、HI、HBr、HF)水溶液。典型添加量的吸着剂中的卤素浓度为约0到5%。经处理的吸着剂28随后沿通道108经进料机110送到分离装置34。
或者,卤素(例如氯、溴、碘或氟)可沉积于吸着剂上,通过在气化室60中将卤素58气化并使其冷凝/吸附于吸着剂28上。气化卤素可在区域112注入筒仓100和进料机110之间、进料机110和分离装置34之间的吸着剂28,或送到离开分离装置34的“细粒”和去凝集颗粒上。
可在分离装置34后放置“脏空气”材料处理风扇/鼓风机64以提高吸着剂传输和分配的静压头。去凝集吸着剂28和输送空气/蒸汽经类似于第一个实施方案26中的那种分配器的分配器68注入烟道气管道。吸着剂28可注入到锅炉18和对流通道/过热器20之间、对流通道/过热器20和空气预热器22之间,或空气预热器22和ESP/织物过滤器24之间的烟道气流12中。
根据本发明的除去元素汞或汞化合物系统的第四个实施方案和图8所示在下文中被指定为除去元素汞或汞化合物的系统114中,吸着剂28具有除汞系统最优选的颗粒尺寸,即d50<2微米,其中d50表示总分布的50%质量的颗粒,这通过使吸着剂28设定为炭黑或烟灰在第四个实施方案中得以实现。与“粗”和“凝集”活性炭相比,俘获锅炉烟道气中指定量的汞需要的炭黑/烟灰量少得多。例如为除去90%的元素汞需要50mg/Nm3的经浸渍的炭黑,相比之下需要大于1000mg/Nm3的“粗”和“凝集”活性炭.而且,浸渍吸着剂28需要的氧化剂(例如碘)的量(少于碳的1%重量)与活性碳所需的量(碳的1-10%重量)相比少很多.
在生成所要求的极细颗粒尺寸分布的吸着剂28的系统114的组件116中,烟灰生成装置118安置于锅炉18的高温区。烟灰装置118下游的锅炉18的氧化区120确保在烟灰生成过程中生成的CO和HC被破坏。图9所示氧化区的温度范围优选500到1000℃,更优选600到800℃以确保烟灰损失最少而CO/HC破坏最大。
在生成所要求的极细颗粒尺寸分布的吸着剂28的系统114的供选择的组件122中,炭黑/烟灰生成于单独的具有CO/HC氧化室126的烟灰生成装置124中。CO/HC氧化室126可有接收破坏CO/HC所需的氧气或空气的入口128。炭黑/烟灰流在CO/HC氧化室126的滞留时间和CO/HC氧化室126的维持温度(优选500到1000℃,更优选600到800℃)经优化以最小的烟灰损失来破坏CO/HC。
在生成所要求的极细颗粒尺寸分布的吸着剂28的系统114的另一个供选择的组件130中,以破坏CO和HC为目标的催化反应器132置于烟灰生成装置134和烟道气流12之间。这类催化反应器132的一个实例是涂有多种铂系金属(例如铂、铑、钯)的整体制品(例如由不锈钢或陶瓷制备)。图10所示为用PGM催化剂破坏CO和HC的典型概况。在图10所示温度下,烟灰不会受到明显破坏。
在常规燃煤工厂中,到达静电沉降器(ESP)或织物过滤器的未燃碳主要呈未完全燃烧的大的煤颗粒形态。细颗粒的煤很少出现在正常应用中,因为它们完全燃尽。因此在常规工厂中,收集于沉降器或织物过滤器的漂尘主要由较大的碳颗粒和较小的漂尘颗粒组成,它们非常难于分离。
上述除汞系统26、69、80、114中,含碳汞吸着剂28通常在锅炉/主燃烧器18外制备,随后减小尺寸,再引入烟道气流12中。吸着剂颗粒28被制成极小的尺寸因而明显不同于漂尘,可在图1-3中所示的漂尘处理系统136中从一般漂尘中分离出来。
图4所示充满汞的吸着剂28随同漂尘137一起收集于ESP/织物过滤器24中。充满汞的吸着剂-漂尘混合物沿通道138从ESP/织物过滤器24的进料斗140输送至漂尘贮存筒仓142,再沿通道144用进料器146送到分级器148,所述分级器可从粗和较密集漂尘137中分离出”细粒”和低密度汞吸着剂28。所述分级器148优选为动力型并带有单独控制的分级器轮,以优选大于50m/s和更优选100m/s的端速运行以确保良好的分离和产物回收。
颗粒分离器150可安置于筒仓142和分级器148之间。颗粒分离器150的作用是从漂尘137中分离充满汞的吸着剂28,它们会因共同收集于ESP/织物过滤器24并贮存于进料斗140和筒仓142而凝集。喷射磨可用于此目的,尽管要求很小的尺寸减小,因此与如果颗粒尺寸必须要减少的情况相比能耗会较低。
如图1所示,SO3(三氧化硫)-俘获吸着剂152可与汞吸着剂28一起或与之分开在区域154注入到烟道气流12中。另据图5,注入SO3(三氧化硫)-俘获吸着剂152的系统156包括筒仓158。贮存于筒仓158的SO3(三氧化硫)-俘获吸着剂152经进料器160定量输送至分离装置34。再经鼓风机64和分配器68将去凝集颗粒152注入烟道气管道。也可利用与汞吸着剂28所用装置分开的分离装置、鼓风机和分配器(未说明)。或者SO3(三氧化硫)-俘获吸着剂前体162可贮存于筒仓158并输送至前体转化器164。例如石灰石162可贮存于筒仓158并在煅烧炉164中转化为石灰152。值得赞赏的是,SO3(三氧化硫)-俘获吸着剂系统156可与除汞系统26、69、80、114中任一种系统一起或分别使用.
尽管已经说明和描述优选实施方案,可进行不脱离本发明精神和范围的各种修改和替代。因此,应理解本发明已通过示例说明且没有限制。
Claims (20)
1.一种脱除燃料转化产物中的汞的装置,所述装置包括:
将引子批含碳吸着剂分离为接触批含碳吸着剂和残留批含碳吸着剂的设备,接触批含碳吸着剂的含碳吸着剂颗粒尺寸分布为d50<15微米,其中d50表示接触批中总分布的50%质量的颗粒,分离后接触批含碳吸着剂的颗粒尺寸分布小于分离前引子批含碳吸着剂的颗粒尺寸分布并小于残留批含碳吸着剂的颗粒尺寸分布;
使接触批含碳吸着剂与燃料转化产物在接触区接触以使接触批含碳吸着剂吸附汞的设备;和
将接触批含碳吸着剂输送至接触区的输送设备,其输送方式为使平均至少百分之九十的接触批含碳吸着剂在引子批含碳吸着剂分离为接触批含碳吸着剂和残留批含碳吸着剂之后少于三十分钟的时间内输送至所述接触区,由此使接触批含碳吸着剂在引子批含碳吸着剂转化为接触批含碳吸着剂和残留批含碳吸着剂之后在基本没有任何中间存储的情况下在接触区与燃料转化产物接触。
2.权利要求1的装置,其中所述分离引子批含碳吸着剂的设备包括使含碳吸着剂颗粒尺寸从相对较大的粗颗粒尺寸减小到相对较小的细颗粒尺寸的颗粒尺寸减小设备。
3.权利要求1的装置,其中所述分离引子批含碳吸着剂的设备可生成具有d50<8微米的含碳吸着剂颗粒尺寸分布的接触批含碳吸着剂,其中d50表示接触批中的总分布的50%质量的颗粒。
4.权利要求1的装置,其中所述分离引子批含碳吸着剂的设备可生成具有d50<4微米的含碳吸着剂颗粒尺寸分布的接触批含碳吸着剂,其中d50表示接触批中的总分布的50%质量的颗粒。
5.权利要求1的装置,所述装置还包括在将接触批含碳吸着剂与燃料转化产物接触之前在所述接触批含碳吸着剂上沉积卤素和酸的至少一种的设备。
6.权利要求1的装置,其中所述燃料转化产物包括由煤燃烧生成的漂尘,分离已吸收燃料转化产物中的汞的含碳吸着剂的设备包括能从相对较粗和较密集的漂尘中分离含碳吸着剂的分级器。
7.权利要求1的装置,其中所述燃料转化产物包括煤燃烧生成的烟道气,含碳吸着剂吸附烟道气中的元素汞和汞化合物的至少一种。
8.权利要求1的装置,其中所述将接触批含碳吸着剂输送至接触区的输送设备输送接触批含碳吸着剂的方式为使平均至少百分之九十的接触批含碳吸着剂在引子批含碳吸着剂分离为接触批含碳吸着剂和残留批含碳吸着剂之后少于五分钟的时间内输送至所述接触区。
9.权利要求1的装置,其中所述将接触批含碳吸着剂输送至接触区的输送设备输送接触批含碳吸着剂的方式为使平均至少百分之九十的接触批含碳吸着剂在引子批含碳吸着剂分离为接触批含碳吸着剂和残留批含碳吸着剂之后少于一分钟的时间内输送至所述接触区。
10.权利要求1的装置,所述装置还包括分离已吸收燃料转化产物中的汞的含碳吸着剂的设备。
11.权利要求1的装置,其中所述表示接触批中的总分布的50%质量的颗粒的接触批中值颗粒尺寸分布不大于所述表示引子批中的总分布的50%质量的颗粒的引子批中值颗粒尺寸分布的一半.
12.一种采用根据权利要求1所述的装置来脱除燃料转化产物中的汞的方法,所述方法包括:
将引子批含碳吸着剂分离为接触批含碳吸着剂和残留批含碳吸着剂,接触批含碳吸着剂的含碳吸着剂颗粒尺寸分布为d50<15微米,其中d50表示接触批中总分布的50%质量的颗粒,分离后接触批含碳吸着剂的颗粒尺寸分布小于分离前引子批含碳吸着剂的颗粒尺寸分布并小于残留批含碳吸着剂的颗粒尺寸分布;
使接触批含碳吸着剂与燃料转化产物在接触区接触以使接触批含碳吸着剂吸附汞;和
将接触批含碳吸着剂输送至接触区,所述输送方式为使平均至少百分之九十的接触批含碳吸着剂在引子批含碳吸着剂分离为接触批含碳吸着剂和残留批含碳吸着剂之后少于三十分钟的时间内输送至所述接触区,由此使接触批含碳吸着剂在引子批含碳吸着剂转化为接触批含碳吸着剂和残留批含碳吸着剂之后在基本没有任何中间存储的情况下在接触区与燃料转化产物接触。
13.权利要求12的方法,其中所述分离引子批含碳吸着剂包括使含碳吸着剂的颗粒尺寸从相对较大的粗颗粒尺寸减小到相对较小的细颗粒尺寸。
14.权利要求12的方法,其中所述分离引子批含碳吸着剂包括生成具有含碳吸着剂的原颗粒尺寸分布为d50<8微米的接触批含碳吸着剂,其中d50表示接触批中总分布的50%质量的颗粒。
15.权利要求12的方法,其中所述分离引子批含碳吸着剂包括生成具有含碳吸着剂的原颗粒尺寸分布为d50<4微米的接触批含碳吸着剂,其中d50表示接触批中总分布的50%质量的颗粒。
16.权利要求12的方法,所述方法还包括在使接触批含碳吸着剂与燃料转化产物接触之前在所述接触批含碳吸着剂上沉积卤素和酸的至少一种。
17.权利要求12的方法,其中所述燃料转化产物包括煤燃烧生成的漂尘,分离已吸收燃料转化产物中的汞的含碳吸着剂包括对燃料转化产物进行分级以从相对较粗和较密集的漂尘中分离出含碳吸着剂。
18.权利要求12的方法,其中所述燃料转化产物包括煤燃烧生成的烟道气,含碳吸着剂吸附烟道气中的元素汞和汞化合物的至少一种。
19.权利要求12的方法,其中所述将接触批含碳吸着剂输送至接触区包括以使平均至少百分之九十的接触批含碳吸着剂在引子批含碳吸着剂分离为接触批含碳吸着剂和残留批含碳吸着剂之后少于五分钟的时间内输送至所述接触区的方式输送所述接触批含碳吸着剂。
20.权利要求12的方法,其中所述将接触批含碳吸着剂输送至接触区包括以使平均至少百分之九十的接触批含碳吸着剂在引子批含碳吸着剂分离为接触批含碳吸着剂和残留批含碳吸着剂之后少于一分钟的时间内输送至所述接触区的方式输送所述接触批含碳吸着剂。
