在现有的咀嚼型食品中，一种是槟榔，另一种是口香糖。槟榔有健齿的作用，但容易损伤口腔，刺激肠胃，甚至可引发口腔癌。口香糖主要是由白砂糖、胶基、葡萄糖等组成，具有清除口腔异味的作用，但容易引起口腔炎，口香糖中的白砂糖和葡萄糖容易引发龋齿，不利于糖尿病人使用，特别是胶基不利于环境卫生。
本发明的目的在于提供一种无毒副作用的健齿糖。
本发明主要是由黄芪、木糖醇等物质组成。
本发明制作非常简单，把黄芪切成每片重0.3-2克的黄芪片，用黄芪重量20％-80％的木糖醇制成水溶液，加入切好的黄芪片充分搅拌，还可以加入L-薄荷脑、香精等物质，最后干燥、杀菌、包装。
本发明中的黄芪，性甘微温，有益气固表、利水消肿、托毒生肌之功效。木糖醇，有清凉甜味，具有润喉、洁齿、预防龋齿的作用，可促进肠道内有益菌的增殖，改善胃肠道的功能，对糖尿病人有治疗作用，是糖尿病患者理想的食用糖代用品。因此，本发明具有润喉、洁齿、预防龋齿、锻炼嚼咀肌、抑制口腔异味、提高口腔免疫力、改善肠胃功能的作用，是一种咀嚼型保健食品。
