本发明一般涉及电信系统,尤其涉及一种用于安排一个话音呼叫在一个有效的数据呼叫期间等待的系统和方法。
背景技术
电信技术的发展已经给通信网络带来巨大的特征深度。目前在网络中能传输话音和数据呼叫。这两种不同类型的业务通常按顺序开展,而不是同时开展。一个呼叫可能在另一个呼叫正在进行时进入是常见的。在基于CDMA的网络中,当用户正参与一个数据呼叫时不能提供话音呼叫。网络无法寻呼该用户所使用的移动台(MS),或给用户提供一个呼叫等待指示直到当前呼叫结束。
所需要的是一种用于为MS提供呼叫等待业务的方法和系统。
发明内容
本发明公开一种用于在电信网络中在移动台(MS)参与一个数据呼叫时接纳一个话音呼叫的方法和系统。首先,从基站(BS)发送一个预定消息给MS,禁止MS在接收到该预定消息后的预定时间周期内启动一个数据呼叫。BS然后释放一个通信信道以用于该话音呼叫,并启动该话音呼叫,以及在任何一个话音呼叫结束后重新连接该数据呼叫。

具体实施方式
图1示意了一个简化的无线通信系统100,其中一个诸如第一基站(BS)10的呼叫控制和管理装置与其移动台(MS)20和30通信,而第二基站40与其自己的MS(如MS 50)通信。当在基站和移动台之间进行通信时,重要的信号大部分由BS控制和指导。由MS启动并且指定给BS的通信被称为上行链路通信,而反之称为下行链路通信。
图2是在BS 10和MS 20之间用于执行呼叫等待业务的呼叫流程的流程图200。为示意目的,假设当一个有效的分组数据对话或一个数据呼叫在进行中时一个话音呼叫进入。一接收到呼叫进入请求,在步骤210,BS 10预备并发送一个预定消息(如重试指令消息)给MS20。该重试指令消息指定自MS接收到这个消息的时刻起的一个持续时间,在此持续时间内不能从MS 20启动分组数据呼叫。这个持续时间在一些例子中可以是几秒。接着,在步骤220,BS 10发送指令要求释放正用于与MS 20通信的业务信道。这使得在MS进入空闲状态时数据呼叫进入睡眠状态。在步骤230,BS接着使用常规方法寻呼MS该话音呼叫,指示MS一个话音呼叫现在要进入。基于这种设置,MS10可以用或不用主叫ID振铃。如果在步骤240用户应答该话音呼叫(例如,通过发送一个寻呼响应消息),则该话音呼叫继续。当该呼叫结束时,释放所用的业务信道。如果在步骤250用户拒绝应答该话音呼叫,则BS 10等待MS进入空闲状态,并通过发送一个一般寻呼消息和其他相关消息(如信道指配消息)继续该睡眠的数据呼叫,使得在步骤260该呼叫能被分配一个业务信道(如同通常一样)。接着在步骤280重新开始该数据呼叫。当该话音呼叫被MS 20接受并随后完成时也执行步骤260。注意,如果在步骤220和240之间,在BS接收到来自MS的要求启动数据呼叫的请求,BS将发送另一个重试指令消息到MS以确保MS在一段足够长的时间内不会启动该数据呼叫,从而使得该数据呼叫不会打乱MS进入该话音呼叫。这种情形可发生在先前的重试指令没有设置足够长时间来防止MS启动数据呼叫时。因此,一旦业务信道被释放,MS将尝试重新连接该睡眠的数据呼叫或启动另一个数据呼叫。此刻,BS可能正想发送或正在发送第一个一般寻呼消息。由于MS在等待BS响应其启动消息时不会处理该一般寻呼消息,因此BS需要在一个新的一般寻呼消息前重新发送该重试指令消息以再次启动该过程。
应理解,重试消息在此用作例子示意BS如何禁止MS进入或启动一个数据呼叫一段时间周期。这可通过其他消息防止MS重新发起分组数据来实现。例如,在基于CDMA的网络中,BS可使用业务选项控制消息(SOCM)来实现与重试指令实现的相同目标。类似地,根据电信网络所使用的技术,一般寻呼消息可以是一般寻呼消息,或任何其他类型的消息,如通用寻呼消息。另外应理解,当数据呼叫被挂起,且MS处于空闲状态时,BS和MS之间的PPP对话没有完全丢弃。相反,其保持在MS和其诸如分组数据服务节点(PDSN)的网关设备上的协议栈中。因此,应理解,数据呼叫的睡眠状态不是完全破坏。
在另一个例子中,重试指令消息可以用“带信息的补充业务消息(FWIM)”或“信息提示消息AWIM)”替代,这样BS知道有一个业务信道被专用于当前数据呼叫。在FWIM或AWIM消息中,可以附加诸如主叫ID的信息。BS可以开始测量在发送该消息给MS后卸下该数据呼叫的时间。在接收到FWIM或AWIM后,MS可以用一种特殊的铃声模式振铃并为用户显示主叫ID。如果用户接受该话音呼叫,则MS发送另一个返回的FWIM给BS。如果用户拒绝接受该呼叫,则进行中的数据呼叫不受任何影响。可以配置成,如果没有从MS收到响应,则在预定周期后BS可重复地发送FWIM或AWIM消息到MS。如果用户不拾起话音呼叫而是继续该数据呼叫,则BS也可决定路由该进入的话音呼叫到话音邮件系统。应理解,BS也可通过发送话音呼叫信息给诸如因特网呼叫等待服务器的服务节点,通知MS有一个进入的话音呼叫。该服务节点另外发送一个消息以显示在诸如膝上计算机的用户计算设备上。通过电信网络中的或通过无线电传送给BS的移动台能力信息记录中的诸如归属位置寄存器的用户简表数据库,可配置一个用户想如何得到关于该话音呼叫进入的通知。
图3示意了用于在BS和MS之间启动话音呼叫的一般过程300。在步骤310,BS发送一个一般寻呼消息给MS,指示想启动一个话音呼叫。MS在步骤320以一个寻呼响应消息响应BS以接受该话音呼叫。BS接着发送一个诸如扩展信道指配消息的信道指配消息和诸如服务连接消息的相关消息(步骤330)。MS在步骤340确认其与BS的连接并发送一个诸如服务连接完成消息的确认消息返回BS,并且BS连接该话音呼叫。

Claims (21)

1.一种用于在移动台正参与数据呼叫时接纳话音呼叫的方法,该方法包括:
从基站发送第一预定消息给移动台,禁止移动台在接收到该预定消息后的预定时间周期内进行数据呼叫;
基站释放用于该数据呼叫的通信信道以用于该话音呼叫,从而使该数据呼叫睡眠;
基站启动该话音呼叫;和
在该话音呼叫结束后重新连接该数据呼叫。
2.根据权利要求1的方法,其中所述第一预定消息通知移动台该话音呼叫要进入。
3.根据权利要求1的方法,其中所述第一预定消息为移动台提供主叫ID。
4.根据权利要求1的方法,进一步包括在基站启动该话音呼叫之前等待移动台进入空闲状态。
5.根据权利要求1的方法,进一步包括:在释放所述通信信道之后,从基站向移动台发送第二预定消息,在基站检测到移动台打算启动另一个数据呼叫时进一步禁止移动台启动数据呼叫。
6.根据权利要求1的方法,进一步包括:在由基站启动话音呼叫期间,如果移动台拒绝接受该话音呼叫则重新连接该睡眠的数据呼叫。
7.根据权利要求1的方法,进一步包括如果在预定时间内移动台不接受该话音呼叫则由基站移动该话音呼叫到话音邮件系统。
8.一种电信系统,用于在移动台正参与数据呼叫时接纳话音呼叫,所述电信系统包括基站,该基站具有:
用于发送第一预定消息给移动台以禁止移动台在接收到该预定消息后的预定时间周期内进行数据呼叫的装置;
用于由基站释放用于该数据呼叫的通信信道以用于该话音呼叫,从而使该数据呼叫睡眠的装置;
用于由基站启动该话音呼叫的装置;和
用于在该话音呼叫结束后重新连接该数据呼叫的装置。
9.根据权利要求8的系统,其中所述第一预定消息通知移动台该话音呼叫要进入。
10.根据权利要求8的系统,其中所述第一预定消息为移动台提供主叫ID。
11.根据权利要求8的系统,其中,所述基站进一步包括用于在基站启动该话音呼叫之前等待移动台进入空闲状态的装置。
12.根据权利要求8的系统,进一步包括用于发送第二预定消息,在基站检测到移动台打算启动另一个数据呼叫时进一步禁止移动台启动数据呼叫的装置。
13.根据权利要求8的系统,其中所述基站进一步包括用于如果移动台拒绝接受该话音呼叫,则重新连接该睡眠的数据呼叫的装置。
14.根据权利要求8的系统,其中基站进一步包括用于如果在预定时间内移动台不接受该话音呼叫则移动该话音呼叫到话音邮件系统的装置。
15.一种用于在移动台正参与数据呼叫时接纳话音呼叫的方法,该方法包括:
在移动台接收来自基站的第一预定消息,该消息禁止移动台在接收到该预定消息后的预定时间周期内进行数据呼叫;
确定用于该数据呼叫的通信信道被释放以用于该话音呼叫;
确定基站启动该话音呼叫;和
在该话音呼叫结束后重新开始该数据呼叫。
16.根据权利要求15的方法,其中所述第一预定消息通知移动台该话音呼叫要进入。
17.根据权利要求15的方法,其中所述第一预定消息为移动台提供主叫ID。
18.根据权利要求15的方法,进一步包括在基站启动该话音呼叫之前使移动台进入空闲状态。
19.根据权利要求15的方法,进一步包括:在确定所述通信信道被释放之后,移动台接收第二预定消息,该消息在基站检测到移动台打算启动另一个数据呼叫时进一步禁止移动台启动数据呼叫。
20.根据权利要求15的方法,进一步包括:在由基站启动话音呼叫期间,如果移动台拒绝接受该话音呼叫则重新开始该数据呼叫。
21.根据权利要求15的方法,进一步包括在预定时间内移动台不接受该话音呼叫,这导致移动该话音呼叫到话音邮件系统。
