Abstract

本发明涉及一种用于识别物体或人员的通信单元,包括依照称作蓝牙系统的接收机/发射机装置(1)以及依照称作RFID系统的发射机应答器(2)。本发明的特征在于,所述发射机应答器(2)以使得与所述发射机/接收机装置(1)相关的组件也能用于发射机应答器操作的方式与所述发射机/接收机装置(1)结合在一起。

技术领域
本发明涉及一种通信单元。
背景技术
已知的使用射频的自动识别系统,即称作RFID(射频识别)包括识别标记(identification tag)(ID标记)和通信装置。每个识别标记包括天线、调制器和用于控制调制器的控制逻辑电路。一种这样的ID标记被设计成接收由通信装置发送的信号并以调制状态反射这个信号。
这种ID标记被附着于要被识别的物体或人身上。其身份能由位于一定的短距离处的通信装置读出,例如5米。根据设计的不同,借助于该通信装置,除了能读出身份,还能分别从该ID标记中读出其他信息以及将其他信息写到该ID标记中。
较短的距离,例如5米,使得与在地理上有限的通信区域内的ID标记通信成为可能。
出于同样的理由,仅仅基于称作蓝牙技术的识别还不太合适,因为通信范围太大了。通常情况是在RFID系统中通信装置接收的功率随距离R的增大而降低1/R4,而在蓝牙系统中相应功率随距离R的增大而降低1/R2
然而,ID系统就本身而论非常合用,蓝牙系统本身也是这样。因此用户经常必须访问这两种系统以获取不同应用。这自然导致比只使用一个系统时的成本要高。此外,用户当然对随身要携带两个系统觉得麻烦。
发明内容
本发明针对这个问题提供了一种解决方案,能够大大降低成本和提供简单的处理。
本发明因此涉及一种物体或人员识别通信单元,其包括依照称作蓝牙系统的接收机/发射机装置以及依照称作RFID系统的发射机应答器,其特征在于,该发射机应答器与该发射机/接收机装置结合,以使与所述发射机/接收机装置相关的组件也能用于发射机应答器操作。

具体实施方式
图1和2所示为一种用于识别物体或人员的通信单元。该单元包括依照蓝牙系统的发射机/接收机装置1。该通信单元还包括依照称作RFID系统的发射机应答器2。这两个附图还示出了打点框内的发射机应答器专用电路。
根据本发明,发射机应答器2以使得与发射机/接收机装置1相关的组件也能用于发射机应答器2的操作的方式与发射机/接收机装置1结合在一起,即,当发射机应答器接收到一个询问信号并反射和调制所述信号时。
因此,本发明涉及一种用于同时与RFID系统和蓝牙系统通信的通信系统。
发射机应答器2本身是已知的。其包括控制逻辑3和相关的存储器及调制器4。发射机应答器因此适合于接收从一个适当已知的通信装置发送的询问信号并随其反射所接收的信号,同时用脉冲串调制该信号。有关该脉冲串的信息存储在存储器中。该脉冲串被该通信装置接收并解码。所调制的信号可能包含各种信息。每个发射机应答器通常具有唯一的身份,这个身份以前述方式被发送到通信装置。
然而,发射机应答器也可设计成使信息写到发射机应答器的存储器中,稍后可从该存储器中读出所述信息。在这一方面,写信号是由通信装置发送的调制信号。在本实施例的情况下,控制逻辑3包括解码器,用于解码所接收的信号。
根据一个最为优选的实施例,发射机应答器2只包括一个调制器4,而发射机应答器在其他方面被设置成在操作中使用发射机/接收机装置1的天线5,控制电路6和属于蓝牙装置1的电池(未示出)。在这个实施例的情况下,控制逻辑3的功能因此包含在控制电路6的功能中。
根据本发明的第一个实施例,如图1所示,在公共天线5和发射机/接收机装置1的专用组件以及发射机应答器2的专用组件之间分别包含电子开关7。
开关7受位于天线5的检测器8的控制,并用于检测由天线5接收的信号是蓝牙信号还是预定用于发射机应答器2的RFID信号。在完成这个检测后,这个接收的信号或者被发送到蓝牙装置1或者被发送到发射机应答器2。
当从该通信单元发射时,开关7受控制电路6的控制。
当接收到一个发射机应答器信号时,信号或者被调制器4反射,或者如果它是写信号,则该信号将以前述方式被解码并进入存储器,这取决于发射机应答器的设计。
当接收信号是蓝牙信号时,在发射机/接收机装置1中创建一个发射机信号并将其发送到天线5。
根据本发明的第二个实施例,如图2所示,功率分配器9分别位于公共天线5和发射机/接收机装置1的专用组件以及发射机应答器2的专用组件之间。在此情况下,蓝牙装置1和发射机应答器都在同一时刻接收信号。蓝牙装置1或发射机应答器2将发送一个信号以响应所接收的信号,这取决于信号的类型。
当发射机应答器为只读发射机应答器时,即,只能从发射机应答器读出信息,对于这两个实施例来说,发射机应答器2装有自己的电池10用于为发射机应答器的控制逻辑3提供电源更为有利。
上面提到了在蓝牙装置和发射机应答器之间的集成程度不同的不同实施例。
根据对于某些应用最为优选的一个实施例,唯一的发射机应答器专用组件是发射机应答器2调制器4,其适合于在不能为接收信号提供新的电源供应时调制和反射接收信号。当使用前述的功率分配器9时,本实施例使得发射机应答器2不用蓝牙装置1运作就能工作。
显然本发明解决了在引言中提到的问题。
在一个非常用户友好的应用中,发射机应答器也可包含在为蓝牙通信设计的移动电话中。
这个设计尤其在本通信单元被构造成发射机应答器通常在移动电话关机时也能工作时特别有利。这意味着用户不用携带单独的发射机应答器也能被识别。
蓝牙和发射机应答器同时被集成到移动电话中的设计使得,例如,发射机应答器能用于识别计算机或装有蓝牙以利用蓝牙通信的其他一些设备的用户。
尽管上面参考多个示例性实施例描述了本发明,但显然本发明可以根据其结构设计来改变。
本发明因此不应认为被局限于所述示例性实施例,因为这些实施例可以在所附权利要求的范围内修改。

Claims (7)

1.一种用于识别物体或人员的通信单元,包括依照称作蓝牙系统的接收机/发射机装置(1)以及依照称作RFID系统的发射机应答器(2),其特征在于,所述发射机应答器(2)以使得与所述发射机/接收机装置(1)相关的组件也能用于发射机应答器操作的方式与所述发射机/接收机装置(1)结合在一起。
2.根据权利要求1的通信单元,其特征在于,所述发射机应答器(2)包括调制器(4),但是所述发射机应答器(2)在操作中被设置用于使用所述接收机/发射机装置(1)的天线(5),控制系统(6)以及电池。
3.根据权利要求1或2的通信单元,其特征在于,所述发射机应答器(2)装有自己的电池(10),用于为所述发射机应答器的控制逻辑电路(3)提供电流。
4.根据权利要求1、2或3的通信单元,其特征在于,分别位于所述公共天线(5)和所述接收机/发射机装置(1)的专用组件以及所述发射机应答器(2)的专用组件之间的功率分配器(9)。
5.根据权利要求1、2、3或4的通信单元,其特征在于,分别位于所述公共天线(5)和所述接收机/发射机装置(1)的专用组件以及所述发射机应答器(2)的专用组件之间的电子开关(7)。
6.根据权利要求5的通信单元,其特征在于,当从所述通信单元发射时所述开关(7)受检测器(8)的控制,其中所述检测器适合于确定由所述天线(5)接收的信号是蓝牙信号还是预定用于所述发射机应答器(2)的信号。
7.根据前述任何一项权利要求的通信单元,其特征在于,所述发射机应答器的唯一专用组件为发射机应答器(2)调制器(4),其适合于在不对接收信号提供新的能量时调制和反射接收信号。
